Bong Backpackers & Bikes

Staff says things that are not right. We where told that we can check out later and in the end we needed to pay almost the full price of another night. The beds are fine but the air and the airflow in the dorm was so terrible. The description says they have 2 restaurants and guest get discounts vouchers. Staff didn’t know that so we got nothing… No social vibes also. Everybody stays just one night for the loop.. All in all not a good experience and I would not recommend it.

De bedden waren niet erg schoon en we hadden allebei uitslag op onze armen de ochtend erna (bedwantsen?). Gelijk de dag erna vertrokken. Wel vriendelijk personeel.

hostel was clean and beds comfy, however the atmosphere was dead!! we ended up going to mama’s hostel instead as the people there were much more friendly with more people doing the self-riding tour and we were soooo glad we did!!

They don‘t rent bikes to people without an international motorcycle driver license (cause of police control - but I met plenty other people on the tour who did it on their own without an international driver license) so I decided doing the 4D 3N tour with them. The tourguides are nice but don‘t speak english - which made it sometimes a little bit difficult. I did the bong loop. The reason that they have such high rating is because they offer a free tshirt for a google review (nothing wrong with it) but I will say the loop was good but a loooot of stops, almost every 20 or so minutes. They sort of force you to drink happy water at night which was awkward. All the drivers are fabulous though, great staff. The hostel itself is pretty good minus the facilities. The breakfast is fabulous.

didnt enjoy the Loop so much, the weather was not so good and to many people. i was expecting more: more quality instead of quantity. maybe it was not the fault of the hostel, but i hope they are gonna think about the concept of doing tours every day.

In terms of a company to book the loop through I would highly recommend. As a first time rider, I felt super safe the whole time and was able to travel at a good speed. Also had a slightly smaller group of 15 which was perfect :)

I did the 4 day tour with them. It was really nice, I took the Easy Driver option, I have no regrets ! I could take pictures and videos as I wanted on the bike. Of course as you are in a group you can’t stop everywhere, but that the game. We still stop quite often, so no worries ! We were 11 the first 2 days, and then only 3 ! It was really nice! Their tour organisation and riders are the best. The only problem is bed space is a bit tiny if you are 6 feet tall. Overall cleanliness and your organisation is the best.

Best place to do the loop with. Hard to socialise in the hostel before the loop though. Beds could be cleaner, there was a q-tip left on mine but I think that’s because they’re not assigned so it’s harder to keep track of cleaning. I loved that you could shower after the loop before your bus, and the bathrooms were very clean. Breakfast was great. Lockers for bags were great and really secure.

Good for a one night stay

The best hostel, the best loop tour.

Ich habe den Loop für drei Tage gemacht und bin begeistert ! Wir hatten immer super leckeres Essen, man findet Freunde fürs Leben und bekommt sehr viel Happy Water for free😉Die Fahrer sind auch alle super lieb und fahren sehr sicher.👍🏻

Great for a place to stay before going on the loop with Bong. They sort everything. I left some important documents and the lovey Irish receptionist, Aine, made sure they were delivered ASAP to HaNoi. Excellent staff. Thank you

Amazing time on the Ha Giang Loop tour, best thing I did on my trip! The easy riders were amazing and I’d definitely recommend doing the loop with Bong. The accommodation was good through the loop. One negative is that the Bong hostel that you stay in the night before the loop in Ha Giang left a lot to be desired and was not very clean.

j’ai fait le tour Ha Giang loop avec cette auberge et je ne peux être plus satisfait. Le tour à répondu à toutes mes attentes.

J'ai adoré! C'était une expérience incroyabe, les easy drivers étaient super sympa et on tout le temps mis l'ambiance. L'organisation était bien et l'hostel en soit est bien aussi.

The tour Bing is offering is great, not as busy as some of the other ones seem to be. The drivers drove safely, I felt really safe at all times. Thanks for this great experience! Will be back !

Amazing!!! We booked our Ha Giang loop with them and had the most amazing time! My driver easy rider Quy was brilliant, and so were all the other drivers! They helped make it a really good social atmosphere. We would definitely recommend doing the loop through Bong. The hostel staff are all lovely and the hostel itself is fine with comfortable beds and decent food, but we only spent one night here after doing the ha giang loop.

Great staff at the hostel! Couldn’t have picked a better hostel to the loop with, relatively small groups (we were 25 split into two groups) making it the perfect size to get to know everyone. The easy riders were great company as well during the 4 days on the bikes.
