We stayed at the property despite negative reviews. Room was basic and at the time of a heat wave, there was no ventilation or air conditioning, as crowds were selling goods illegally outside. A frightening police raid took place, and drugs were found on the window shelf. Due to a lack of privacy and security, we moved to a hotel near the airport. The property is not recommended.

Struttura abbastanza pulita, con tutti i servizi necessari. Stanza troppo piccola per il prezzo offerto. Posizione abbastanza vicino al centro ma nel quartiere posso raccomandabile di San Francisco.

Stay very very far away. I will start off by saying the biggest issue is that my room (108) had bedbugs. There wasn’t staff available when I discovered the issue and I had to leave early the next day so I couldn’t speak to anyone in person. After several emails the staff hasn’t responded to any of my emails. Besides the bedbug issue, the photos are extremely different than the actual rooms. We left after the first night. Bed was bad, room poky and stuffy, noise from the road directly outside and lack of privacy meant we couldn't open the window for air.. we weren't told about any facilities there. We had no problems with it but the area it is in is actually featured in a newspaper article saying students and tourists are being targeted by local gangs and it's a crime hot spot. We asked to cancel after viewing the room and were refused. Lost £200. Don't go. Cheaper better places.

Falta limpieza en los baños. La ubicación está bien porque en menos de 10 minutos estás en el casco antiguo, el problema es el barrio. Aún así yo no tuve ningún problema.

Me sabe mal poner esta review negativa pero el ambiente era bastante hostil. Desconozco si fue por los días que estuvimos (finales de Aste Nagusia) pero el hostel tenía un ambiente hostil. Para quien vaya (especialmente si son chicas) es oportuno comentar que de noche es un barrio peligroso. La policía local nos comentó que era una de las dos calles más peligrosas de Bilbao. No nos sucedió nada, pero la tensión yendo para el hotel era terrible. Había también huéspedes raros… poc...

Solo recomendado para estancias cortas. Estábamos 4 personas en una habitación que debía ser para dos originalmente. La literras superiores no tenian ningún dispositivo para evitar caidas. Habitación incómoda por falta de espacio. Hay q dormir con la ventana cerrada por el enorme ruido fuera. Está situada en una calle y alrededores sucios. Resaltar el personal q atiende q es resolutivo y muy eficiente, gracias por el trato.

La zona deja bastante que desear, mucha suciedad en las calles . Las vistas de mi habitación espantosas.. Podrían avisar que el desayuno está en un bar a cinco minutos. Bien el billar el futbolín y la li.pieA

Bon emplacement, chambres relativement agréables et propres. Nous avons été très bien accueilli par le personnel. Le point noir : le prix assez élevé pour la prestation

The staff went out of their way to to accommodate us. They brought us a fan due to the room being stuffy. We were unable to keep the window open because of the noise. The rooms were small, yet we appreciated having a stove and mini fridge. The location was close to the train station and old town, however, it wasn’t the safest neighborhood.

The residence is huge but looks quite empty. It’s good value for money; the room is clean, but the private bathroom is not comfortable, and it’s dark and dull, a bit more deteriorated than I expected. Not like the one shown in the main photos. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The real disadvantage is the location. It’s very close to the metro station and to the city centre and old town, but in a very rundown area, in a hostile environment. There are suspicious people all around.

The staff were lovely and the location was great. However, the room did not look like the photos shown which make it look recently renovated but it was actually quite run down. The common spaces were under renovation so not accessible. All in all a fine place to stay, but take the pictures/description with a pinch of salt

Good location, close to everything, very friendly staff, clean rooms and a very nice breakfast in a café close by. It was very hot during our stay and unfortunately there was no air-conditioning in the room but they gave us a ventilator so that helped a lot. Only negative could be the street and area it's located. Although it might feel strange and unsafe we never had any problem and the people in the street leave you alone.

Location in the city is good, walking distance from main sights. But the neighborhood is bit rough. There is a lot of noise day and all night. If you have rooms on street side. People install black market on the street in front of the hostel. Police comes several times a day to "clean" the area but doesn't help a lot. Lot of drunk or drugged people in this area. But hopefully this nuisance is only small period of time...

como alojamiento en Bilbao muy bien, salvo la zona, que parecia un poco insegura por las noches (y muy ruidosa tambien). Esta cerca de la estacion de trenes Abando y tiene buenas conexiones. El desayuno incluido en una cafeteria fue muy top

Great place that's close to town. Area a bit rough which was ok with me and friend but a lone teasers could be a bit unnerving. Could do with fresh coffee shop to get in morning

Very good, great for young people as you can meet students and such. Had no real issues, room was slightly small but was actually so fine as it had a kitchen and a GREAT SHOWER. Overall would stay here again.

Encara que només hi vaig passar una nit, la meva experiència a la residència Resa Blas de Otero va ser molt bona. L’habitació amb bany privat i petita cuina ofereix comoditat i autonomia a un preu assequible. Disposa també d’espais comuns ideals per relaxar-se o socialitzar. La ubicació és excel·lent, a prop del centre històric i ben comunicada. Sens dubte, una opció recomanable tant per a estades curtes com llargues!

The hostel is situated in a rather poor area. But good to see how people live there. Public transport is nearby. The room is a little studio with everythibg you neef.

Mas que habitación, ha sido un minidepartamento con cocina. El punto flojo es la zona, se veía bastante insegura. El resto todo bien.

Staff at front counter excellent. Very helpful. I was unlucky enough to have guests on either side who insisted on dragging furniture around their room until after midnight! I guess they didn’t realise how that noise travels. The location was great. Everything was within easy walking distance or train connections.

Établissement agréable et propre avec un parking à prix raisonnable. Personnel très sympathique et accueillant. Emplacement situé dans un quartier chaud de Bilbao mais aucun souci rencontré. Au final, je le recommande.

We were pleasantly surprised given our first impressions of the area and the street the Residence is on. Once we settled we felt very secure and the hostel is perfectly situated for a visit to the city. The Old City is easy to access as are the rail stations. The kitchenette in the room was great and clean and tidy. The coffee pot was vital for our morning cup of coffee. Thanks
