Zhangjiajie Tongfu inn

Great hotel, Carol was very nice and helped me a lot planning my trip. The place was very clean and the food was good! Do note: The cableway station is closed at the moment which makes the location suboptimal. But when it reopens it's a great place to stay while visiting the Zhangjiajie national park.

Best choice for Zhangjiajie Nationalpark. Carol offers for you to buy tickets and knows the best routes. Since you are entering from the west gate, you will walk in opposite direction of 90% of the people! The friendly family provides food all day. Vegan/vegetarian travellers will have plenty of delicous options! The only thing you have to be aware is, that the location on hostelworld is not precise. Search for "Happy Together Inn" on amap. The hostel is next to it.

lovely place very close to one entrance of the park but far from the train station. Carol was absolutely brilliant and planned our whole route around the park for 2 days, avoiding the crowded routes by going in the opposite direction. she also sorted taxis for us to and from the train station (for a similar price to DiDi, which I couldn't get to work) as well as an evening trip to Furong Ancient Town. Thanks Carol! there is a restaurant on site and not many other options nearby.

This was more than a hostel it was a home. Carol goes over and begins to provide directions for exploring the mountain. Getting to spend time with her and her family, and wake up among the village was an experience that few can compare too.

We stayed for 2 nights in Tongfu Inn, it was such a wonderful stay. The hosts are super welcoming and will help you to get around the National park. It was clean, comfortable and the food the hotel proposed was delicious with a large choice. We definitely recommend if you want a real Chinese experience far away from tourist track. Also Carol, the host speak English so it was definitely a good plus.

Highly recommend! The location is very convenient, since it is a few minutes walk to the gondola that takes you to the park. The owner and her family are very lovely people that were happy to help, the owner even helped us plan the whole trip in Zhangjiajie. The food at the accommodation is also delicious and reasonably priced. We really enjoyed our stay and want to come back😊👌

I absolutely loved my experience here! The family that runs the hostel is incredibly kind and welcoming. They went above and beyond to help us plan our entire visit to Zhangjiajie National Park, providing detailed advice on routes and transportation, along with a helpful map. They also helped us plan our trips to the Canyon and heavens gate. The food was excellent (zhangjiajie hotpot was my favorite), and the homemade wine was a real highlight.
