Not a good experience at all. I pad for 4 nights but left after the first night. The hostel was very dirty and there were cockroaches everywhere, not just a couple I understand we are in a hot country, the room was alive with them, I barely slept and left swiftly in the morning. The aircon seemed to be leaking all night and dripping. I never made it into the kitchen I couldn’t face it. It could be such a lively hostel but needs a decent clean and refurb.

What a dump. It makes 3rd world countries look 5 star. Even minimum expectations of locks on bathroom doors can be met.

Very overpriced for the quality it offers. I decided to make my own breakfast, but there were no cups or glasses, very few utensils, the kitchen was dirty, and the fridge was completely full. There’s only one staff member, and it’s hard to find them when needed. The rooms were dirty, although the bathrooms were clean. I wouldn’t come back and I don’t recommend it.

Really very dirty and messy. Rooms full of dust and cockroaches; rats running around quietly in the kitchen at night.

Impossible to sleep as there were held parties right outside the window, hosted by the staff. Bed smelled like urine. No duvet cover, just a flat sheet.

At 7 pm there was no one present to do the check in, someone living there/housekeeping simply opened the door to my dorm for me and that's it. It was noisy in the dorm, very noisy and crowded in the small living area. At night there were about 7 small cockrouches roaming around in the bathroom. In the morning it was freezing cold with no options to put a heater on. Not worth 50 dollars a night. Would recommend to pay a bit more and go to the other hostel Abode, which is centrally located.

The location is fine. It is a nice hostel but very neglected. There is not much control of the guests and usually the kitchen is always dirty, the dishes on the table. Very expensive for what they offer.

The staff canceled our order without warning or anything like that, but in such a way that we had to pay for the reservation. We arrived at 9 pm according to Hostelworld check in until 11 pm and had no room. 30$ for the reservation was charged anyway. The staff were also very unfriendly.

Cons: 1.Unfriendly environment. 2.Insanely hot in the room constantly,no fan and no air con. 3.We came back from a day out to our door being wide open. 4.Reception wasn’t the most helpful when we first checked in. 5.Restroom floors were not clean for the most part of our stay. 6. Wasn’t clear who worked there or who to approach. 7. Mattress was not clean Pro’s: 1.Lockers secure in rooms. 2.Good living room space. 3.Very close to the grocery store and shops.

Not clean. Many long term people living here, spreading their stuff throughout the room. No cleanliness rules were enforced during my stay. Not too many staff around. Someone had their dog here and it was just roaming around. Owner was accusing me of letting his dog out of the fenced area. Pretty sure this is the unofficial France embassy in Sunshine Coast. If you’re French and are willing to sleep in a messy environment, this is your place! Otherwise, spend the extra money elsewhere

Very loud and the door of the room was always open

I had to sleep in a used bed the first night because they changed the bed sheets of the wrong bed and a guy lay in my bed and the whole room smelled disgusting all the time. I booked a room with 4 beds but was put into one with 6. The hostel had some nice outdoor spaces but all in all it was worse than most of the hostels I’ve stayed in yet.

Good hostel overall. It was clean, the staff were helpfull and the equipment were alright. The hostel is far from the tourist areas of the sunny coast, but it's way cheaper than the other hostel !

Property filled with people who live there full time and are not social at all there is barely ever anyone in reception kitchen was filled with flies and had a dig running round stepping on the counters not much to do around the pool is okay but has seen better days

Hostel nur bewohnt mit Leuten die Wochen oder Monate da sind. Sauberkeit ist auch ein Fremdwort.

Bed comfortable Bathroom always cleaned , just a problem for closing the shower (no lock) The kitchen has everything, so it is good for making lunch. Just not a lot of place to stock the own food. There is the place for chill, swimming pool and the laundry with the dryer and if you don’t want to do the dryer just let your things hanged out.

Ac didn’t work, a lot of flys everwhere, was pretty messy place and location was pretty dead

Zimmer war extrem klein, haben ein 6-Bett-Zimmer gebucht und ein winziges 3er Zimmer bekommen. Als ich ins Bett gehen wollte lag jemand in meinem Bett, der Manager hat das aber dann schnell gelöst. Der Außenbereich war nett, der Pool war ganz nice und die Küche sauber. Wirkt schon alles ziemlich runtergekommen, war an sich aber ganz okay.

Sehr viele longterm Gäste.. hälfte des Hostels sind Franzosen die nur in ihrer großen Gruppe sitzen und französisch reden. Küche hat weder einen Ventilator noch Klimaanlage. Im Essbereich und Küche fliegen extrem viele Fliegen herum…

Majority of the people staying in this hostel are long term. Overall I found the atmosphere very unwelcoming. My room & ensuite were clean, however no soap or hand towels. My biggest concern was the kitchen. If you plan on trying to cook don’t bother. Pans and pots are garbage, the sponges looked like they hadn’t been changed in MONTHS. The fridge is packed with rotten food/alcohol. Flies everywhere. The hand towels smelt awful, couldn’t dry anything because they were gross. Garbages overf...

The staff were friendly and the hostel was very clean. I’ts located near the ocean and a shopping centre.

room was extremely dirty and we had a strong urine smell inside and outside our room for the whole duration of our stay for 2 nights. We also came away covered in suspected bed bug bites. would not recommend.

Good backpackers for the price, staff were friendly and the facilities were great. General vibe was relaxed and fun.

It’s a hostel for a fair price and a cute location. There isn’t much around in the area but the bus stops nearby make it more accessible to other places around the Sunshine Coast
