This place sucks, the beds are horrible, it’s very load at night and trash is left everywhere from the party the night before
I honestly don’t know how the rating of this hostel can be this high. I’ve been in many hostels in my life, but this one is the dirties ever. There were only two showers for all dorms, both disgusting. Same for the toilets. The dorm I stayed in (‘deluxe’ female only), was super hot because there isn’t a window you can open or even circulate air trough the dorm. I’m happy I only stayed one night so I didn’t need to shower. But even one night was too long.
The worst hostel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s so gross and you sleep on a foam sheet. I ended my stay early here and booked somewhere else
All of our clothing items were bleached and permanently damaged during the hostel’s laundry service. I reached out with several emails, but received no response. It’s extremely disappointing that the hostel hasn’t taken any responsibility or shown basic customer service. Do not stay here - 0 stars.
pretty awful night, went out for dinner and came back to our private room flooded, clothes soaked. Told the staff, they were indifferent and offered little help. good location, nice building but weird vibes and pretty dirty/run down. Also got the impression they were aware prior to flooding issue as they knew exactly what caused it (joined room locked off due to issues with roof and structure)
This was easily one of the worst hostels we have ever stayed in. There is a reason why the bathrooms and showers are not pictured, someone described them as straight out of a horror movie and that would be accurate. Thoughout our stay several times we found the toilets clogged and unflushed with a terrible smell. Not really a social hostel the dorms were then best the sheets would come up every night and our room reeked of cat piss. We felt gross the entire stay. The staff was nice and helpful.
We originally booked for 4 nights and left after the first night. Woke up with 155 mosquito bites, arrived and there was s*** clogged in the toilet. Kitchen was a mess and clogged sink. There were good places to hang outside of the rooms, a pool table, very social atmosphere and it is cheap and close to the center so what can you expect.
Showers, toilets, beds, lamps... nothing worked and it was pretty dirty, found a dead cucaracha. previously it was a burger bar it seems
Stayed at 3 hostels in Santa Ana and this was the worst one regarding facilities, dorms, kitchen etc, just kind of grim. We also rented 3 scooters of them all which had their own problems, including the steering column nearly coming off one of them. Overall it just needs more attention and some things changed and it would rock.

Really social and nice hostel, with lots of activities. I do think the dorms could be improved a bit in terms of space and quality though
We really loved our stay here. The workers were very helpful and on top of things. They helped with activity bookings and recommendations. Good social vibes but not crazy party, which we liked. Pool table and projector were fun for later at night. The location is great, short walk to cathedral, local market, and some fun bars. Lots of washrooms and all the beds have a personal fan! Would recommend staying here for sure.

Beautiful and really cool hostel and the staff always tried to help us with everything! Perfect location as well
This is a really great hostel. Management is exceptionally kind and helpful, facilities are clean and comfortable, it has a great laundry service, and location is prime. I would definitely recommend this place!
Everyone was lovely and had great suggestions on activities and places to eat, night life options.
Very nice hostel and social. Not the right place if you want to relax be on your own. They have plenty of activities.
This place sucks, the beds are horrible, it’s very load at night and trash is left everywhere from the party the night before
Only stayed for a night but seemed very social with daily activities. However quiet hours aren’t enforced at all and the dorm doors have a significant gap at the top, I couldn’t sleep till 2am on a Monday because of the noise. Not enough bathrooms and not clean, shower drains are so clogged so that if you run the water for two minutes you’re standing in a pool. Mattresses are so comically thin you can feel the metal bed frame beneath you. Small lockers, no curtains. Cheap but still not wor...
Amazing hostel in the centre of Santa Ana! The vibes and the staff were 100% amazing. They organize lots of fun activities, offer scooter rentals, and are always happy to help you with public transport or anything else you need. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a fun, social hostel with great price–quality value. Don’t hesitate — just book it and you’ll have the BEST time! A big thank you to the whole team for making my experience in Santa Ana so specia...
Super nice hostel less than a 5 minute walk from the city centre! I loved the social vibe here. The hostel organizes lots of activities like dancing classes, cooking classes, Spanish classes, parties,… The rooms are nice and the beds have individual fans to keep you cool at night. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly!! & Very practical, you can rent a scooter directly from the hostel. Definitely the best place to stay in Santa Ana :)
good valued, pool table and old arcade machine with street fighter for free!
I loved Ricks Hostel!! I extended my stay the first night I was there, it is so welcoming & social. Gabriel & everyone who works there is so kind, helpful and made me feel at home, especially Luna the cat! The papusa cooking class & Gio’s food tour were amazing. Definitely stay here, or at least join their activities!
Loved this place! Stayed for the moto rentals ($15/day), but was surprised to enjoy the cooking class night, food tour which ended at the hostel, and general social atmosphere. The owner is always around and actually working too which I appreciate. Lovely and helpful staff, great location, laundry service, good kitchen, pool table, etc!
I loved this hostel. From the staff like Andrea and front desk, to the atmosphere. Most accommodating and chill staff. There’s so many activities to do and it’s incredibly fun. Gives an authentic experience to El Salvador. Potentially my favorite hostel ever.
Lovely hostel, can see exactly why it is so highly rated. the staff are kind and super helpful even if you want to do an activity that they don't offer. Only downside is small lockers and steep steps to get into beds but great for a few days.
This hostel is unreal. I forgot my passport at this hostel and the owners brought it to me in El Tunco. Not only do they go above and beyond for their guests the hostel itself is incredible. Everything’s super clean, fun daily activities, super comfortable beds, and awesome communal areas to meet people. Would definitely recommend this hostel if you want a memorable stay in Santa Ana.
I highly recommend this hostel. The staff were amazing, and the events are so worth it. The only downside was no curtains on the beds. Everything else was great!
