Luk Hostel

+ Location was the only redeeming thing about this hotel. As a solo female travel, I felt a little unsafe walking to the hostel at night as all the shops were closed

- Damp, black mould, bugs, overall dirty and everything needs a refresh. I suspect the walls and ceilings are painted black to hide the mould outbreak. I’m highly allergic to mould and woke up the next morning with a very bad headache and vomiting. Ac was super loud and filter hasn’t been changed, smells of smoke inside the room.

- L'absence de ventilation et de fenêtres dans les chambres. L'ai est chargé. J'ai fait des allergies et j'ai mal dormi et j'ai été épuisé pendant ces 3 jours, ce qui a gâché mon séjour à Bangkok et je suis parti de Thaïlande avec une mauvaise impression. C'était très sale et poussiéreux, on ne peut pas aller de la douche à l chambre sans avoir la plante des pieds noires. L'univers m'a paru carcéral. Le fait d'ajouter du parfum dans la salle de bain pour couvrir l'odeur de moisissures.

- Demasiadas escaleras para acceder a las habitaciones. El ascensor es como si no existiera. El staff fue muy desagradable.

+ The receptionist are lovely! The restaurant has great food 😋

- What I didn't like it's that I was attacked by Chinese guy in the room and second time at the top roof because I asked him do not bring drugs into the room as everything stink and I cannot sleep. He told me to Shut the f******p 🤮 and he wanted to fights aswell . Seriously!!! I didn't feel safe in this hostel because of drugs issue. To many customers are getting high in this hostel at the roof top and after all they don't sleep all night .The are opening and closing room door like every 10 minutes until 5 am !!! Impossible to sleep! So guys if you respect your sleep and don't want to be randomly insulted but druggies I would suggest to go somewhere else .Personally I asked for the refund as i didn't feel safe there and i couldn't sleep . Because it's China Town most of the customers will be dodgy . DONT MAKE MY MISTAKE IF YOU WANT DECENT ENERGY AROUND DONT RENT ACCOMONDATIONS AT THE CHINA TOWN !

+ Very old and dilapidated not like the photos Bathrooms were on a different level via stair access No lockers for belongings and the other tenants had all their belongings strewn across the floor Everyone was smoking weed in the common room cooking area

+ Booked a private room - good location, however no vehicles are allowed to stop outside the hotel due to narrow streets

- Constant noise at night time meant I did not sleep during my stay (I assume it’s from an air con vent outside?). I contacted staff and they were unable to help Dirty sheets upon check in Bed was incredibly hard, not sure what it was made from Worst sleeping experience in the 75+ countries I have visited

+ If you want to stay in china town, it is in the middle of it.. not far from metro

- The layout up was absolutely terrible. No windows in the rooms or hallways, nowhere.. it looks more like a prison or refugee camp People drying clothes on dark hallways.. no sun, no fresh air, claustrophobic!! Elevator goes only to 4th floor, then need to walk down to 3rd or up to 5th if your room is there.. strange.. Shared Bathroom is only on the 4th floor. Even private rooms don’t have bathrooms Hotel promotes itself for digital nomads but far from that! no facilities, just a cafe at the entrance. Wifi does not work properly in the rooms. The location is on a busy smelly shoppung street in the middle of china town. Chaos during day. Dark street with garbage left from the day, at night.

THEY WHERE NOT WILING TO GIVE THER NAME IVEN THEY WORK THERE THEY REFUSED IDENTIFICATION. ALK TRUE NIGHTMARE DISPATE POINT OUT THAT THERE WAS PERSON THAT WAS SHARING ROOM WITH ME THEY REFUSED TO ACT IN THAT FACT . DISPATE TELLING THEM THAT I PERSONALLY SPOKEN TO THAT PERSON AND GOT RESPOND TO FACK OF OF I AM STUPID TO THINK THAT MY THINGS ARW STILL IN HOSTEL AND THAT IF I DONT WALK AWAY WILL BE PUNCHED IN FACE THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BE WARE AND BE WARE STILLING YLUR BELONGINGS DO NOT CONCERN THEM AT ALL !!!!!!!! THEY WILL EXCUSE THEM SELF WITH TELLING YOU ITS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WHAT HAPPENS IN ROOM.!!!!!!

- ความสะอาดชั้นเก็บของในที่นอนมีแมลงและมีขี้ฝุ่น

+ I was in a 8-bed dormitory. Great location in chinatown. Lots of small shops and food stalls around. The breakfast is a scrambled egg sandwich. Kitchen has a microwave and hot and cold drinking water. No pots/pans or cooking stove. A/c works well. The common area in rooftop is nice and quiet, and part cooled down thanks to a/c. It is not a party hostel, even though some guests aren't that quiet. Bathroom is big enough, water hot or cold as you wish. Beds have curtains for privacy, and a locker for your stuff is underneath. The staff is very friendly and will always help if you have questions.

- Some guests where loud at night (banging doors, starting a conversation at 1 then 3am). But I cannot blame the hostel for that, only individuals.

+ Stayed in a private room with window. Good amount of space, comfortable bed and effective air conditioner. Location was very good, minutes from the heart of Chinatown and close to MRT and River pier, but quiet at night. Nice social area with kitchen and drinking water. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hostel is well maintained.

- Bathroom was on a different floor (not a major issue personally) though were always clean and rarely busy. Shower pressure and temperature were inconsistent but you don't need a very hot shower in this climate. Towels provided were well-worn but adequate
