Had a very nice stay
good location and very safe but not much more going for it. staff perfectly agreeable without being incredibly helpful, while beds / room was very uncomfortable, lacked any sort of privacy and had a lingering dampness. bathroom clean enough, to be fair.
Un poco deteriorada la propiedad, pero de ahí en fuera me sentí muy cómodo, excelente ubicación, muy seguro, fueron muy amables todo el tiempo, todos los servicios excelentes, precio-calidad para los mochileros de corazón. Seguramente me hospedaré de nuevo con ustedes sin pensarlo.
The property is a bit dilapidated, but from there on out I felt very comfortable, excellent location, very safe, they were very friendly all the time, all the services excellent, price-quality for backpackers of heart.

Me encanta este lugar, es la segunda ocasión que me hospedo aquí y sin duda lo haría de nuevo. Lo único que mejoraría el lugar es que hubiera una cocina para que los huéspedes puedan cocinarse, si bien, permiten usar la cocina de los empleados siempre que ellos no la estén ocupando. Se escucha el ruido de recepción y las áreas comunes pero el ambiente es tranquilo en general, si tienen sueño ligero recomiendo llevar tapones. Las habitaciones super limpias y cómodas.
I love this place, it's the second time I've stayed here and would definitely do it again. the only thing that would improve the place is that there would be a kitchen so guests can cook for themselves, although they are allowed to use the employees' kitchen as long as they are not occupying it. you can hear the noise from the reception and the common areas but the atmosphere is generally quiet, if you have a light sleep I recommend wearing plugs. the rooms are super clean and comfortable.
Super clean, good location and friendly staff but no hostel atmosphere at all and no smoking area… No free water (which is normally available in every Mexican hostel). Booked a 4 bed female, got a room for two people (one bunk bed) and found it weird that they put only two strangers in one room. Didn’t feel comfy.
The lady at the front desk was rather rude and unaccommodating at first but the other front desk person & staff were nice. The kitchen is not very nice to cook in. Bed was not that comfortable either. No atmosphere at all. Best things were the location and the cleanliness.
Si ofrecieran un cafe por las mañanas sería bueno aunque no sea gratis.

Sehr angenehm, habe ein Dorm gebucht und wurde in ein Doppelzimmer gebucht. Keine Hostel Atmosphäre, und es liegt etwas weiter außerhalb, trotzdem ist fast alles fußläufig erreichbar.

Siempre que voy a Xalapa me quedo en este lugar, las habitaciones compartidas estan bastante bien, siempre me ha tocado una sola litera y cada habitación tiene baño, por lo que no hay que compartirlo más que con la persona con la que te estás quedando. También, siempre me han tocado compañeras mujeres, lo cual es muy agradable. Usualmente solo llego a dormir. La ubicación me parece excelente.
whenever i go to xalapa i stay in this place, the shared rooms are pretty good, i have always touched only one bunk and each room has a bathroom, so you should not share it except with the person you are staying with. also, i have always been touched by female companions, which is very nice. usually i only get to sleep. the location seems excellent to me.
Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft, ich würde definitiv wiederkommen. Das eknzige, was man anmerken könnte, wäre höchstens, dass es nein Trinkwasser gab und es nicht wirklich diesen Socialvibe hatte. Ich war die ganze Zeit über alleine im Dorm. Aber sonst hat es mir dort sehr gut gefallen.
The only thing that you could notice would be at most that there was no drinking water and it didn't really have that social vibe. i was all the time over alone in the dorm. but otherwise i liked it very much.

This simple hostel provides exactly what is described. The man at the front desk was very helpful and friendly when I arrived late at night.
En realidad, auqnue el precio es muy módico, es mas un hotel que un hostel porque no tiene espacio para cocina o refrigerador compartido. Pero compensa eso porque por ese precio muy módico tienes casi una habitación privada. En mi caso, solo dos en la habitacion. El baño, dentro de la habitación, es a nivel de un hotel 5 estrellas!! ¡Excelente!!
Actually, the price is very modest, it's more of a hotel than a hostel because it doesn't have space for a shared kitchen or refrigerator. but compensates that because for that very modest price you have almost a private room. in my case, only two in the room. the bathroom, inside the room, is on a 5 star hotel level!! ¡Excellent!!

I had the most pleasant 30 day stay at the Casa de juan primarily due to the staff from top to bottom every aspect of my stay was superb, outstanding Old style home converted to hotel exstreamly comfortable environment would highly recommend to all. Mucho Gracias to Andreas and Diago
