Onsenyado Hamayunagi

Probably the worst accommodation I’ve been in Japan. It was surprisingly dirty and had very poor and old facilities (no showers only onsen and no privacy in your bed due to missing curtains). So I would not recommend staying there!

Pros: staff was nice, good hand soap, good location, foot bath, free bike rental. Cons: there was like, 2-3 toilets in the entire building and we didn’t feel comfortable showering since it was in the same room as the onsen without a lock on the door. (So one shower per gender in the whole building). Wasn’t very well maintained and the kitchen had mold. Common room wasn’t comfortable either.

Ik verbleef hier 2 nachten. Het bed was goed,, schone lakens, gordijntjes zodat je privacy had. Elk bed heeft 2 stopcontacten. In mijn slaapzaal hing het van verlengsnoeren aan elkaar. Er is een douche in de onsen en niet bij de kamer zelf. Dat was even wennen. En ik miste een lekkere plek om een boek te lezen, te netflixen of gewoon te hangen. Hoewel er wel een gemeenschappelijke ruimte is, zijn de ‘stoeltjes’ die daar zijn niet echt relaxt. Het hostel kan wat TLC gebruiken!

Location was in a convenient spot and 10 minutes walk from the station. The facilities and bedrooms were clean and secure. Enjoyed my stay there and would recommend since it's located to other points of interest. Staff was welcoming!

A very nice hostel, the host is friendly and can give you adresses of restaurants around. Bedrooms and beds are confortables. The onsen is lovely (with the only showers of the hostel be prepared of this). The location is very nice, 5 minutes walk from the JR train station, buses around and near few onsens too. I will come back with pleasure !
