A place with a nice fireplace. But overall a bit cold and restrictive. The soap in the bathroom was either empty or not even there. The showers are fine for people shorter than 1,70, but everyone else needs to do some gymnastics or they will hit there head while showering. There are only three parking spots, which isn't really enough for the entire place.

not a great stay here especially for the price. location is great but the bathrooms were old, we were told the laundry machines weren’t working but saw the staff using them. owner was a little short with people and it was a very anti social hostel. parking was very difficult as there were only 3 spots.

Bed, pillow and linens were very comfortable. Adequate kitchen for cooking. Place was very clean. Short walk to grocery store and everything else needed. Host seemed rushed, but he met my needs. He has strict rules and enforces them when he is around to see problems. For anyone who has mobility problems, the private upstairs room where I stayed is up some stairs so not easy to move luggage if host is not around to assist. Price seemed high but maybe Queenstown is pricey.

Great Hostel within walking distance of the Centre of town, shop, bars and cafes - The host was extremely friendly and helpful Small kitchen so you had to time your preparation of meals ... Beds were comfortable, showers hot so a great place to stay

Got upgraded to a bigger room, which was very nice! But the walls and ceilings are so thin that you can hear EVERY step and movement from above and you can hear people talking from the next room

Clean and secure hostel not far from central Queenstown. Very quiet so not a great place to meet other travellers. Kitchen facilities are small and feel relatively unused, lounge room small and again, quiet. Room itself was pretty cramped and beds okay not the most comfy. No complaints with staff or security, but a quiet hostel with little atmosphere.

Constantly overlooking what the guests do does not make me comfortable staying here. No privacy and own time. I had to stay for 2 hours after checking out due to a flight later during the day, and got questioned which room I was staying in and that it was not okay to be there, even though the whole property was empty of people.

We had a really nice time at Alpine lodge! The kitchen, the bathroom and the rooms are clean. We really enjoyed watching movies at the fire. Such a cozy atmosphere.

Me and my friends arrived in the evening and as soon as we arrived we felt the peace of the place. The staff were kind and helpful. The room was super clean and cute. The hostel was a great break from the stressful, touristy, Queenstown. We had a beautiful and relaxed night and the morning after it was just a quick walk to all the experiences of the city. I strongly recommend it!

Cosy, humble backpacker with good vibes. Enjoyed hanging in the lounge with fellow travellers. Super grateful for the team to keep my lost items for a week.. you are an absolute legend!! 🙏🏻💖

you cant judge a book by its cover. much nicer on the inside than first impressions.

Perfect and roomy but ran out of hot water

We had a great stay! It is really cute and cozy inside! There are not so many people and it is close to the town center. The kitchen is just a little bit to small. But it worked out!

Ich hatte einen super Aufenthalt, ein kleines gemütliches Hostel mit super lage zum Zentrum. Der Inhaber Taff ist super freundlich und immer für einen small talk zu haben. Gerne wieder!

Staff are sublime. The owner does an incredible job keeping the lodge tidy, organised, and super clean. Definitely recommend, i will be returning

A really cosy place to stay while in Queenstown! Would definitely recommend, the manager was super kind and helpful.

Staff were absolutely amazing and super lovely. They were always happy to have a chat and help you out and have all the tips and ticks to know for around town.

Fantastic Hostel, the staff were amazing, Melissa was like a friend right from the start. Nice and cosy lodge with a super friendly atmosphere. Amazing showers, great location and parking. Would highly recommend, thanks so much!
