EZ Social Hostel Georgetown, Penang

Everyday activities during the day but also in the evening, daily pub crawls and great volunteers who make you feel at home. Leah helped me as well with making a whole new plan for the rest of my trip, which shows that it goes further than just doing a job. The location as well as the breakfast is very good, 100% recommend!

They slay in every department. One of the best hostels I have stayed in. The staff is cool af and everyone is very friendly. Something is always going on, go for it while in Penang! An addition of TT Table would make it a lot of fun to an already social atmosphere!

The Dorms were big & the beds were comfy. Daily Activities to meet other people. Big shoutout to Alex, Dan, Ola, Vivi & Evie for making my stay unforgettable.

Its an amazing hostel super social and daily activities. Staff is amazing. Super cool vibes in the hostel. I have no complaints but wanna just add some suggestion. 1. Shower and toilet area needs renovation. Shower cabins are small. 2. The sinks are small, need to be extended. So one can put toiletries comfortably. 3. Bunk beds needs to be stabilised more, so if one person moves, the bed of other person should not move. Overall, The best place to stay. Dont miss the chance to stay at EZ.

I've been to a lot of hostels around Asia and didn't expect a hostel in Malaysia was going to be one of the most social of them all. A very nice hostel, with lovely volunteers and a lot of activities.

Fun and friendly hostel, lovely staff. Surprisingly good night out for Malaysia as well. Good terrace/smoking area and cinema room to relax in (especially the blankets and the bean bags). Shout out to the owner too, who joined us on the pub crawl and made it extra fun.

Amazing hostel! Really 10/10! They have everything you want from a hostel. Amazing beds with duvets, huge lockers that fit your whole bag, you can even hang your clothes in there😍 A female bathroom with showers was really appreciated! And ofcourse super social! So many activities throughout the whole day, not just in the evening! And not to forget, the breakfast, super good😊 Only downside would be that it’s no aircon in the rooms during the day, which would have been nice.

Nice hostel in a good location. Beds include two pillows & a towel. There’s AC all day in the common areas and free breakfast in the morning. While the heritage building is beautiful, it also means the wood floors are extremely loud. Sounded like people were stomping at all points of the evening so it was difficult to sleep. The top bunks also shake a lot which sucks. While it’s a social hostel, it’s party/drinking oriented and you have to pay for activities such as beer pong and trivia

Good vibes and great host. Very happening. Lots of events to keep the party animals crawling.😜

Can't recommend this hostel enough! I would come back to Penang just to stay here again it really is that great. Dorms are comfy, if you're female I'd highly recommend the female dorms, as they're in nicely located at the end of the hall with their own bathrooms. The staff are all wonderful, I went on one night out which was so much fun, the hostel itself is nice and cosy otherwise and in a great location!

EZ Social Hostel was the best hostel of my trip. Everything is super clean and the staff are amazing. There are lots of ways to meet people, from shared meals to fun events. The beds are extremely comfortable and I slept so well. The female area is separate and feels very safe. Great common spaces like a rooftop and movie area. Social at night but quiet after midnight. Perfect mix of fun and comfort, I’d definitely stay again.

Honestly was a good time until the owner got drunk and threatened to fraud me with the card details i have used to pay from my room. He treid to charge me 1000 RM for nothing in front of me while drinking straight liquor. Honestly thought it was a joke until I checked my travel card the next morning i have reported fraud!

Best hostel we’ve stayed at in Malaysia! All the staff are amazing and so friendly, there are different activities every day, lots of games available and a cinema room. Such a clean hostel, bathrooms are great with hair driers and the beds (especially the pillows!) are super comfy. Only negative is that there are only curtains on the bottom bunks so if you’re on top it is very bright as the lights are automatically turned on in the morning.

We had a great stay at the EZ hostel! Such friendly staff, and a sociable vibe! We didn’t want to leave!

Best hostel in Malaysia for a reason!!! The rooms are so nice with really comfy beds and super clean bathrooms with lots of stalls. The staff are all so awesome and fun and we met lots of cool people! Always activities to do and a pub crawl every night!! By far the best hostel I stayed in my entire trip!

Great hostel in Georgetown. Location is great, dorms were tidy and beds comfy. The movie room with AC is the best thing ever to escape the heat.

Heel sociaal hostel. Als je niet van een party houd kan je beter wat anders zoeken want de muziek dreunt door tot je kamer. De female dorm zit onder de bar. Maar dat gaat vaak door tot ongeveer 12. Verder zijn de bedden netjes. Personeel is aardig en veel activiteiten
