During our stay, we heard about a serious incident where a man acted in a deeply inappropriate way towards a woman. The hostel’s manager seemed more concerned about the hostel’s reputation than the woman’s wellbeing, even after concerns were raised the next day. The hostel is not responsible for guests’ actions, but it’s their responsibility to take this seriously and ensure that guests feel safe and taken care of. I would not recommend staying there, especially as a FLINTA* traveler.
Während wir vor Ort waren, hat in dem Hostel ein sexueller Übergriff stattgefunden. Die Reaktion des Hostels war das Letzte. Dem Manager war einzig und allein der Ruf des Hostels wichtig. Dem Opfer wurde keinerlei Hilfe angeboten, sie wurde zu 100% allein gelassen. Der Täter (der nach der Tat schlafen gegangen ist) wurde nicht mal geweckt, sondern es hieß nur “er geht morgen eh”. Konsequenzen hat er keine für seine Tat gekriegt. Ich kann (weiblichen) Reisenden nur von diesem Hostel ...
While we were on the scene, a sexual assault took place in the Hostel. The Hostel's reaction was the last. The Manager was the only one who cared about the Hostel's reputation. The victim was offered no help whatsoever, she was left 100% alone. The perpetrator (who went to sleep after the fact) was not even awakened, but it was only called er morgen gaat eh. He received no consequences for his deed. I can only advise (female) travelers to stay away from this Hostel!!
leave them a review and get one can of beer. that's the only reason why there are a lot of comments.no towels ?
The location is very good and I feel like it's a very big and sociable hostel. However, I felt the atmosphere was too cleanly and cold for me. It wasn't very cosy to hang out. I stayed in an 8 bed female dorm. Was nice to have your own little separate sleeping box but other than that I didn't like the room at all. The aircon was freezing cold and the air dry and you couldn't change the settings. I ended up leaving earlier despite having paid for 2 more nights. Rooftop terrace is nice though.
Well maintained clean rooms with good coffee downstairs and great location. Absolutely 0 social aspect though. Most people seem to be digital nomads here or don’t want to socialise. Would only recommend if you don’t like to talk to anyone. They do try to organise events eg food tour or bar crawls but literally 5 people sign up and the vibes are not great.
For a chill and comfortable stay, I would recommend here. There is a really nice lounge area with tables and bean bags, then lockers outside the rooms for your stuff. Shared bathrooms were good and cleaned during the day whilst I was there. Bedrooms were big too, plenty of room to pack etc. Staff were lovely too, and had a mini cafe area to get some drinks etc. Location is good within walking distance.
welcoming staff and very good and clean facilities but not a social place at all. its a perfect spot if you want to stay somewhere and do some work
A decent hostel if one does not intend to have a lengthy stay.
Comfortable stay in a great location to see Penang, a bit more expensive than other places around Malaysia though. Common area was very chill and comfortable, but didn't seem to have much buzz socially. Bathrooms/showers were great, cute dog and cat running around too as a bonus!
Really really social and a good location too. There's daily activities but I didn't do them. Really clean and comfortable rooms too :)

Lovely hostel in great location but not sociable at all. Quite comfy beds and spacious rooms but hard to get onto top bunks. Nice to come back here after attending events at the social hostel.
Great hostel, clean beds and offer a female only dorm. Hostel frequently organises activities for those who want to get involved

Its a very quiet and very clean hostel. One of the most comfortable one as well. In a 32 bed dorm there was no noise or anything unpleasant. The bed enclosures are nice, the rooftop area is perfect. And the common area is just great. Fantastic staff. People staying there are not very social but its not a bad thing. I will stay here again.
Lovely clean place. Dorm rooms are really nice and private with pod beds. There’s usually something on every day too so easy to socialise.
Lovely hostel. Staff and volunteers were very kind and helpful. beds were comfy, whole hostel is so clean, people always cleaning and rooms smell so good! Had good kitchen facilities. Not very social as lots of people staying long term but great location and enjoyed my stay.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Loved the location and the calmer-than-usual-hostel vibes. Place was constantly being cleaned and rooms are well air conditioned.
Really good place to stay! I enjoyed my stay there. Clean and good facilities. They also arrange so nice activities. Really good kitchen upstairs ang even yoga mats!

The property is at Muntri street, close to Stewart and Love lane. Overall the property is very nicely maintained. On ground floor they have a huge cafe, where you can sit and relax or work remotely if you want to. Dorms and overall the property is very spacious with nice staff
Nice hostel in the center of Georgetown. Spacious dorm and quiet at night. I can definitely recommend staying there
This hostel is perfect. Everything is super clean, the wifi iis great, there is a secure locker and even a co working space and clean kitchen
Stayed in 36 bed mixed dorm but would never have known, the capsule beds made it really private and quiet. Very clean and in perfect location for exploring Georgetown. Staff were really friendly, rooftop seating area was nice and they are great at running events
Amazing location and lovely sized beds/capsules. The team were always cleaning too which was nice and made you feel like you were staying somewhere looked after! Would be great if they could offer breakfast or something but other than that it was a really nice chilled place to stay
