Tuan Ngoc Hotel

A very pretty place hidden in the back streets behind the lake. It’s essentially a hotel, but with a single dorm for budget travellers. We were the only ones in the dorm one night. The buffet breakfast is excellent, really makes this place worth the money. The room itself is on the basic side; no individual lights, no lockers etc. But it’s a quiet place and we enjoyed our stay. Good location, staff and breakfast but dorms had no lockers or wasn’t provided a door key so security was very minimal!

Would recommend hostel, very nice staff and rooms were decent size. Only downside was no lockable space but we had no issues

Supertevreden over dit hotel. Superproper, goede bedden, leuk zwembad en een buffet als ontbijt met ter plaatse gemaakte pannenkoeken en eitjes.

L’accueil était incroyable, le personnel très gentil, à l’écoute et au petit soin. Le déjeuner est délicieux. L’hôtel est calme mais à 5 min de tout. Nous avons passé un super séjour, je ne peux que vous recommander cet endroit.

Really nice place that feels more like a resort than a hostel. Run by a very nice family who made our stay extra wonderful.

Top plek. Goedkope prive kamer en was super comfortabel en schoon. lekker zwembad en je kan een massage ter plekke krijgen tegen betaling. En rustige omgeving, je bent zo bij alle restaursntjes en het meertje. De receptiemensen wareb soms moeilijk te vinden, maar niet problematisch

I had a lovely stay at the Tuan Ngoc Hotel. The beds were good, there was a good breakfast, it was clean, and the staff was absolutely lovely! The swimmingpool was also a great advandtage!

A hotel like stay for backpackers! The friendliest staff I’ve met in the whole of Vietnam, always with a smile and a helping hand. Beautiful pool with sunbeds, a bar and some tables for socializing. Great included breakfast. Dorm beds are comfortable, but I wish there were some lockers in the room, and that the door could be locked. The property does feel safe enough though. The hostel is in a quieter part of Tam Coc, which is nice and relaxing, but the walk back in the evening is very dark.

We loved our stay here so much! We stayed in a dorm room which was lovely, good aircon and really comfy beds! Great breakfast too. It's quite a quiet place but that was perfect for us and there's lots of rooms to sit if you don't want to be in the rooms. Lovely pool too! The family are so lovely that run the hotel. They will go above and beyond to help you. We even got a little gift and water for the journey when we left which was lovely! They have cute dogs too which is a bonus for us!!

Overall an adequate stay. The bedroom was fine, but the bathroom had a weird smell and the hot water did not last very long. Additionally, the pool never looked clean and I don’t believe anyone used it during our 3 day stay, so that advertised facility was a bit misleading. The staff were helpful with an early check-in and booking a bus to Cat Ba Island. However, they were never at the reception (despite being 24 hours) and you had to ring them to ask for help. The best place we have stayed in so far during our 6 weeks of travelling. We had six people and stayed in one of the hostel dorms. Rooms were perfect. On the day of check out I was sick and got a private room in the hotel and the lady gave me ginger tea and free lunch which was so nice. They gave us water for our journey when we left. The free breakfast is amazing aswell buffet style. Highly recommend this place

The hostel was cute with good food and kind and attentive staff. However, there was dog poo on the ground around the rooms which was quite unappealing, and my duvet had significant amounts of mould on it!

Amazing place, super friendly staff, really great breakfast! You can have omelette or pancake and loads of fresh fruit and other options. Great location in a calmer side of the lake. Beautiful pool and fun to have a pool table too.

This place is like a hotel for the price of a hostel! Really recommend, great breakfast and lovely rooms. The staff are also very helpful and friendly! Only issue we had was the hot water doesn’t seem to last longer than a minute at a time so it’s pretty annoying if you wanna wash your hair etc.

One of the best places we have stayed while travelling!!! The best location if you are coming to Ninh Binh. Easy to walk into to centre with all the restaurant and shops and they have bikes to hire which is what we used to get around on. The place was so clean and breakfast was so yummy. The family who run it are so kind and helpful they even got up early to give us all lunch to take on our bus one morning. Can’t recommend more!!!

This hotel is a genuine 10/10. The room and communal areas were spotless and clean, the buffet breakfast was delicious and the staff were super friendly. Definitely recommend a stay here

Super nice hostel. Lived in a 8 room dorm. Super yummy breakfast. Nice pool but only 5 sunbeds.
