Hostel Casa Colon

Très bel hôtel colonial à proximité de la gare Ticabus. Chambre spacieuse et propre. Personnel prévenant et attentionné.

24 hour front desk so always someone there to buzz you in for good security. Lovely colonial home with open airy hallways and some outdoor areas. Just outside of San Jose, but wouldn’t want to stay in the city anyway! Not really around anything, but an easy place to start from. Free breakfast, but all I had was the coffee. The 2 staff I met were fine. Not much of an ambience. Seems to lodge more transient travelers than visitors. They have the space for hostel events though.

Insgesamt war das Hostel sehr gut, besonders vorteilhaft war hierbei die Lage. Das Hostel ist nämlich nur eine Gehminute von der Busstation entfernt. Da es an einer relativ stark befahrenen Straße liegt, war es nachts teilweise etwas laut, unser Fenster zeigte allerdings auch zur Straße. Das einzige, was nicht ganz so toll war, ist dass der Deckenventilator in unserem Zimmer nicht funktioniert hat. Auf Nachfrage haben wir eine kleinen Ventilator bekommen, der allerdings viel zu laut war.

Great location and friendly staff. Breakfast was really good, and the reception team were helpful when our room key broke. The property is small and secure and fine for solo travellers

Loved the colonial house, good food, and friendly staff. However the poor parking, can't throw your toilet paper away, and loud streets were extremely off putting.

Nice place. Looks like a hotel. The only thing I didn't like was the size of the bathrooms. They were quite small.

It was fine for just a layover night but I didn’t see a single guest and staff weren’t very present. The room was pretty loud as it was right on the main room but I just needed it for the layover and the room was clean and comfortable

Het is fijn en de mensen zijn aardig. Alleen de wifi doet het niet en er wordt ook niet even ter vervanging ren hotspot gemaakt als je een belangrijke 6u bustocht moet boeken voor de aansluiting van je reis. Wifi is super belangrijk voor reizigers omdat het buiten de EU is. Daarnaast is er geen pickup van de airport te regelen zoals wel beschreven staat op hostelworld. Ook is de bus nemen vanaf het vliegtuig net minder makkelijk dan beschreven omdat er altijd san jose opstaat maar niet elke er...

Close to bus station, room clean. Bathroom not very clean. No kitchen for cooking, fine for one night stay

God awful. Save urself the trouble and stay in another place instead.

No frills, but all the essentials are provided for at a very reasonable price. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and other than the temperature of the shower which wasn't quite warm enough IMO, there were no issues to speak of. Would recommend if you're on a tight budget.

As in many places, the pandemic has not been kind to this establishment, I was here 12 years ago. Currently, the luster it once had is no longer the main feature. Its in survival mode which hopefully it will succeed, such a beautiful historical place. The staff is excellent and very attentive!

Close to bus station, and city centre. Everything you need closeby. Nice dorm! Recommended
