very tiny room, zero cleanliness. rude staff. despite having paid for breakfast they simply denied breakfast. outright cheating.

Ein gut gelegenes Hostel im Herzen von Malakka. Die Matratzen sind schon sehr durchgelegen und man sollte darauf achten das man ein Zimmer nicht direkt zur Straße hat, da es sehr laut ist bis 0 Uhr. Die Öffnungszeiten des Cafés variieren sehr stark voneinander, was ein planvollen Alltag etwas schwierig gestaltet. Die Duschen sind sehr gut und auch das man ein kleinen Kühlschrank hat ist von Vorteil. Ansonsten ist Sam ein sehr netter Gastgeber, manchmal etwas durch den Wind ;)

Nice hostel but not really social

Nice location and nice common areas - we booked a private room which was lovely and great AC. Not very social though at all and the staff (although super nice) didn’t really give us much info about the town or anything - pretty much showed us to our room and there it

Super clean and nice hostel, friendly owner! Common areas can be very warm especially in peak summer. Would stay here again

Lovely quiet and safe little place near Jonker Street. Host Sam was very nice, contactable byWhatsApp, and looked after my bags after check out. I stayed in a private room and the a/c and WiFi was great. Had to go downstairs to use the toilets and shower, but that wasn't a problem. I recommend this as a good place in Malacca if you're looking for somewhere chill and quiet. I'd happily stay again.

A good clean quiet hostel, Sam is really nice and helpful and has had heaps of tips, a sim and laundry service. The private rooms are very comfortable and clean. Only thing worth noting is there’s no AC in the common room and this seems to be less of a social hostel.

Was a great place to stay! A nice touch having universal adapters on every PowerPoint. A quiet hostel with the opportunity to meet people if you want to. Sam was also a great host. Would stay again.

We stayed at Ola Lavanderia for two nights in April 2026. As it was kind of off-season, there was not much going on in the hostel. The rooms and bathroom were clean and comfortable. There is a cafe attached to the hostel, however the opening hours were very random. It was supposed to open at 10 am, however once, it was still not open at 12.30, so we had breakfast somewhere else. The location is exceptionally good, in the city center.

This hostel is pretty much everything you could ask for - super comfy beds, perfectly clean, great manager, and so nicely decorated. Plus, they change your towel everyday!!! It’s not the most social hostel, but to be honest I didn’t even mind because I felt so comfortable there. The only issue for me is that they don’t provide complementary breakfast, but also don’t let you store food in the fridge. Apart from that I give it a 10/10 Would definitely recommend

Loved every second here. Is a chilled but social vibe and such a good location too. Sam the owner is so lovely and easy to talk to if you have any questions or concerns. Location is just around the corner from the main market street and there are loads of cafes too on the road including this cafe too!

The hostel is in a good location a short walk from the night market. It is calm in the hostel and very clean. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. I was very happy with my stay :)

Overall I had a really great stay here. it was clean and well kept. The owner, Sam, is a really friendly and helpful guy, it was a pleasure talking with him. Location is amazing too, literally right next to Jonker Street
