How could you be satisfied with a hostel if the feeling of home is missing? Apart from the people I've met during my really short stay in the hostel, warm and open, my experience has been terrible. You feel you are in a hotel more than a hostel, and that's due to the staff. Rigid and sever rules that haven't allowed me to have dinner after a huge day of travelling really put me in a bad humour for the whole night and to make it worse there was the arrogance and annoyance of the receptionist...

Se lo cuento al propietario y a la defensiva, me dice "de 17.000 personas que han pasado por aquí a nadie le ha pasado" le dije "eso sería que entran calzados" y que yo se lo contaba por si podía poner remedio con alguna pegatina o algo, me dijo que no se podía "por higiene" y terminó de malas maneras "bueno ya no quiero discutir más..." The owner was very rude, not only to customers but to staff also. The staff during cleaning were given passive aggressive comments in front of customers and all seemed stressed as a result. I was also yelled at by the owner for arriving two minutes early and because “my knocking was stressing them out”, followed by a door slammed in my face. I was unaware anyone could hear me and that two minutes would be such an issue. Such a shame as the hostel was quite nice, just not worth the owner.

the guy working there was a bit strange apart from that it was fine. he doesn't want to try to even attempt to speak Spanish with u if ur not a native speaker. thought that was a bit rude tbh.

The hostel is located in a very good area and easily accessible. However, the communication with the staff was not very easy, I called the hostel to ask for information and was treated very badly by the owner because according to him I should read the instructions better. The relationship with the staff after I arrived was not much better either.

If you work remotely i don’t recommend the hostel, the internet signal is terrible and in other situation is a good to place to rest

Bathrooms require renovation. Good common space facilities for cooking but not for socialising. Good for 1 night as it is directly across from the bus station

Como hostal de paso me pareció bien, quedaba frente a la estación de buses y la sala común era linda y cómoda. No me gustó que estaba dentro de un edificio de oficinas, las habitaciones no tenían clave o tarjeta de acceso y no había espacio para guardar maletas de forma segura (solo un pequeño locker). Es un hostal más bien tranquilo, para solo llegar a dormir. Agradezco la amabilidad del personal en todo momento.

Lo que más destaco del hostel es su limpieza, todo perfecto! Ahora, en cuanto a ubicación, resulta muy cómodo si llegas y te vas en autobús pero para las playas y demás áreas turísticas estas a mínimo 40 minutos caminando. Luego, en forma de crítica resultaba un poco molesto que el área común y cocina cerrara a las 23hs por las noches, ya que no permitía socializar ni tampoco comer tarde o quedarte en dicho espacio. El personal muy amable.

I had an amazing stay at Santander Central hostel. It was so cozy, an amazing atmosphere for meeting people, and Angel, the owner is very kind hearted and willing to accommodate things which are bothering you during your stay. Gladys and Isalie were amazing volunteers who made you feel welcome. This is one of the best hostels I have stayed at, I recommend travellers to stay here if staying in Santander :)

I had the best experience in this hostel ! The staff is so nice, the common area (living room, kitchen) is great (good music, decoration, segmentation of the space) I met really nice people :) Totally recommend !!

Thanks a lot for your hospitality. Had a fantastic stay. (Thx for the sleeping bag ) 😁 Everyone was really friendly The dormroombed was cozy (every bed has a curtain :) ) Kitchen & commonroom were tidy, clean and got everything you need. Would definetly come back.

Perfect location! Great atmosphere and very clean bathrooms. The hostel manager is beyond kind and will go out of his way to help! Great place to be to explore Santander— would come back.

Excelentes instalaciones y camas cómodas. El dueño, Ángel, fue muy amable y se aseguró de que mi estancia fuera cómoda. Los voluntarios también fueron geniales, siempre dispuestos a charlar. Un hostel muy cosy! 😊

Als je van plan bent om in Santander te overmachten dan raad ik zeker dit hostel aan! Op nog geen 5minuten lopen cab het busstation. De eigenaar is super vriendelijk en helpt je graag verder. Hostel is verder schoon en er is een goede relaxte vibe.

Loved this place, felt like home away from home! Wonderful, friendly staff. Super clean room & bathroom and comfy bed with privacy curtain. Nice social area and well-equipped kitchen . Great location in the city. Highly recommend!

Muchas gracias Ángel por recibirnos y darnos muchas hospitalidad y recomendaciones. El hostal está súper lindo, la gente es muy agradable (los que se hospedan, al igual que quienes lo limpian). Tienen una ubicación súper cómoda, a lado de la estación de autobuses para las personas que buscan viajar mucho.

Wonderful hostel! I stayed here for six nights and it was a great experience. The living room is nice and cozy, and the staff is very helpful. Highly recommended.
