MEININGER Frankfurt/Main Airport

Very dirty hostel. Mold in the shower, dirty sheet on the one bed. Noisy! And very hot! If I opened the window, all I could smell was people smoking. I would not stay here again.

Definitely the air conditioner is not negotiable in summer 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵 that fan is not enough

I felt unsafe after someone got assigned the same room as me and the reception had no log of the incident.

I was let down that my one night stay at MEININGER was so upsetting. The laundry facilities aren’t available which was a main reason for my stay. The dorm room was uncomfortably small and upon arrival, another guest was sitting on my bed with all of their belongings, without wanting to move. I ended up booking a hotel room across the street for the night. As a solo female traveler, I didn’t feel the accommodations were comfortable after a long day of travel.

The room was small and Krampt with no way to lock up your belongings.

Hotel needs air conditioning in the summer. It was very uncomfortable trying to sleep when it was hot outside.

This place was great as a hotel but it definitely should not be listed in Hostelworld. The previous hostels I stayed in were legitimate hostels that allowed to meet others but this was a HOTEL. Not to mention the price on Hostelworld was almost double compared to the price on the hotel’s website. They do not offer free airport shuttles nor complimentary luggage bag holds, so that was a huge turn off for me. I will say the location of the airport and ease of using public transit was great.

I cannot in good conscience recommend the dormitory room at this hotel. Not only is it the only room where check in is only possible at 3pm (despite the room being clearly vacant with open bed space) but it is VERY non private. I slept on a lower bunk and I felt claustrophobic, even more so then in capsule hostels (although at least with those you actually have privacy). No real dedicated lounge area other than a couch. For me the price doesn’t warrant the experience. Location is good.

Ich (25) war in einem Mehrbettzimmer mit Leuten, die alle 60+ waren. Das Zimmer ist viel zu klein und mit einem alten Mann zusammen in einem Doppelbett zu schlafen, ist wirklich nicht cool. Zum Glück war es nur für eine Nacht

To expensive for what they offer. The building was closed when we arrived and although we had booked and the plane delay wasn't our fault the staff was hesitant to open the dor at 10pm/22:00 The bar was closed nothing to eat and in the morning at 4am there was no coffee to be found although they claimed to have 24h service. The room was clean and comfy. However I wasn't pleased with the room as over 25€ per person for a shared hostel room of 7people d't meet the low standard they have of...

Malgré qu il n y avait pas de cuisine. J ai ou manger mon snack sans aucun problème.

Es un hotel que tiene habitaciones compartidas. Tiene muy poco espacio para dejar el equipaje y la distancia con la cama de al lado es pequeña. Me parece muy caro el desayuno. No hay absolutamente ningún tipo de comercio cerca para comprar. Te cobran para guardar el equipaje unas horas. Paso a lo bueno: El personal fue amable y servicial, está cerca del tren regional y del aeropuerto (aunque mi vuelo salió de la terminal 3 y tuve que tomar un bus cuyo trayecto duró 15 minutos).

Anreise schwierig zu Fuss vom Fernbahnhof mit Google Maps. Wasser füllen im Zimmer nicht möglich.

Sehr sauber und bequeme Betten. Ab 7 Uhr wurde gebohrt, was einige stören könnte, ich fand es nicht so schlimm. Gute Lage und leicht mit dem Bus vom Flughafen aus zu erreichen

Für eine Nacht vor Abflug ganz okay. Der Frühstück ist nicht empfehlenswert.

I didn’t sleep well but the problem was related with the roommates in particular one with a serious snore problem

I love this place. This is my 2nd stay. First time, I was in a dorm. Tiny room and close quarters but bed was comfy for the price. This time I had a private. Great stay! Location to the train is perfect. I will try to stay here again.

It is a great place to stay. Very clean and the service is amazing. Best place to transit to the Airport and hop-on-about in Frankfurt or its surroundings.

Nice and quiet, pretty clean, good breakfast selection. Close to the sbahn.

More a hotel than a hostel.. pretty good if you have a flight early. i could walk to the terminal in 20 minutes

Cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in! Very much a hotel with a ‘hostel style’ share room, but this means you get towels, bath mats and a hairdryer in the room - not a spec of mould!! The station is a 5 minute walk away, and very easy to catch the one line into the city - about a 20 minute journey. Not much storage in the room to lock away valuables, and very small space, but was okay as our room was relatively empty. Not a great place to meet people as close to airport, was a stop over host...

No female-only bunk rooms so ended up in a room with 5 men. Very cramped room for 6 people, especially with suitcases

Excellent place, does the job- but not a typical hostel vibe as most are there for work rather than solo travellers. Still, everything else was perfect- quick and easy to get to Mainz or Frankfurt.

It's an airport Hostel. Soo, don't expect a "social hostel" experience. :) And for that it's been a great stay^^

Great place. There's easy access to the SBahn which takes you to the airport, as well as a large Rewe closeby. The private room was nice and comfortable.

Good location for the airport, I arrived late so it was ideal, the garden metro station is a two minute walk for the city centre, and it’s spotlessly clean as well. I’m re-booking for another night when I return from Japan before connecting back to the UK.

No me gustó que en las habitaciones compartidas hay una especie de cama doble y es horrible si eres mujer y te toca con un hombre al lado. Eso no debería ser , todo con camarotes es mejor. La tienda que tienen allí es demasiado costosa, a una cuadra hay un lugar con excelentes precios y cosas súper innovadoras y deliciosas.

Not super social but felt safe as a female traveler. Great location for flying out of the airport!

Places to stay near an airport are expensive, this was a cheaper option. It is a 20 minute walk from the terminal, but a nice facility with food options!
