Enjoyed my stay here. Only complaint is that there is very little floor space in the 4 bed female dorm and the lockers are way too small. The air conditioning is also not strong enough, the bed cubicle gets very warm. Other than that, good location and friendly staff.
I booked the white crater tour at this hostel and I had a great time with my tour guide gaga!
Dit was echt een top hostel. Op loopafstand van het station, super lief personeel en heerlijk ontbijt (inbegrepen). Ik heb 1 nacht in de capsules geslapen, was een grappige ervaring, plus 1 nacht in een dorm. Beide waren schoon en bedden lagen lekker! Enige minpuntje was dat de toiletten kapot waren en er daardoor maar twee beschikbaar waren in de douches, dus dat was lichtelijk onhandig. Verder echt niks te klagen!
Super fijne sfeer. Behulpzaam personeel, lekker ontbijt en zeer gezellig hostel.
Let op er hangen camera’s in de slaapkamers!!!! Dit vind ik belachelijk. Dit gaf mij een naar en bekeken gevoel. Het staat nergens duidelijk op de Hostelworld pagina dat er camera’s hangen in de slaapkamers. Naast dit er prima hostel, maar ik vind dit erg zwaar wegen. Als ik dit had geweten had ik niet dit hostel geboekt.
great place with great atmosphere
+ Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They offered free dinner one of the evenings. Can book tours through them for a good price. The whole place has a nice vibe.
- I was moved to a capsule dorm and the bed wasn’t very comfortable. It had doors that you slide shut so the air con doesn’t reach you. The doors are also super squeaky and loud to close. Sometimes there was no soap or toilet roll. The shower was either super hot burning or super cold. No lockers available.
+ Établissement très bien situé.
- Chambre partagée avec des vêtements qui traînent au sol, des cheveux, de la poussière… la lumière qui reste allumée toute la nuit… Il y a eu aussi deux coupures de courant… Ah oui j’allais oublier l’essentiel, EST-CE UN HOSTEL POUR LES NAINS ???? Sérieusement la couverture et la serviette font 40cm !!! Sans blagues c’est vraiment pas agréable de dormir avec les pieds à l’air ou le ventre à l’air. L’un ou l’autre il faut choisir car la couverture est beaucoup trop petite j’ai jamais vu ça.

+ Bon petit déjeuner, localisation près de la gare et de la rue passante avec pleins de restaurant, personnel simpa, cuisine à disposition et borne pour recharger l’eau. Le dortoir féminin était propre (accès sécurisé) juste dommage que le matelas soit à même le sol car y’a des petites fourmis mais rien de grave
It is a nice hostel but we felt uncomfortable as there are cameras in the bedrooms? There was also a hole in the ceiling facing the shower; you could see some sort of room behind it.

Nice chilled stay

The hostel in general is nice. The workers are super friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good and the common area is nice But the sleeping situation is not great. The female dorm had little to no space for the backpack because there is about 2 square meters of floor in front of the beds which you need to navigate in the room and to put your luggage. The capsules had more space for the bags but the ac isn’t working great and the Ventilation to the beds is also not the best so it got quite ho...
+ clean, close to the train station, grocery stores, restaurants, and the city center. Asep, who works there, is friendly and helps with everything related, good luck to Buton Backpacker Lodge.
