Dopa Hostel

Nice Hostel, pleasant staff. On the other hand, overpriced (amost 50 euro for a bed in a shared room is way too much), no locker in the room (only a very small one, not really useful), the picture on the website show a curtains all around the bed so as to shed it from light, which would be good but they are not there. Good thing is the included breakfast.

Good Hostel but far too expensive and not really worth the money. You just pay for the really good location in the city.

Comfortable enough but a bit tricky to climb into top bunks. A bit noisy at night. Bathrooms and shared space was good. Very expensive beginning of October due to high demand from arriving students

Compared to other Bologna hostels this one is great has a homey vibe and a big communal kitchen space. However it’s not a super big space and isn’t very social. There is only 3 bathrooms which means in the morning it is congested. BYO towel. Curtains on beds are a plus!

Really good hostel.

Pro's: * The shared area was a great way to meet people * The "social dinner" provided you with great food prepared by a cook who came to the hostel for a affordable price * The bunks had privacy curtains, which are especially useful in the night * The hostel is 15 minutes per foot from the trainstation and 15 minutes from the city centre Con's: The only con was the price. It was annoying that the lights in the room turn off after 5 mins. The area to hang out is very small. No shampoo, conditioner, or even bars of soap so pick your own. Towels are available for a fee.

that’s an okay hostel, usually small hostels make it easy for you to socialize, but this one wasn’t sadly so, it was more like a family hostel where everyone should sleep early and be quiet ! i’d recommend it for one day crash in bologna tho :)

Dopa is a wonderful hostel and I wish I could’ve stayed longer: the staff were warm and welcoming, and always ready to attend to our needs; the social events were a great way to meet other travellers without the exhaustion and noise of a ‘party hostel’; and everything was clean and comfortable

Great staff, super homey and beds were comfy! Highly recommend the family dinner, the food was delicious :)

It’s a great place for solotravelers. I enjoyed the hostel a lot. Not a Partyhostel.

Loved the place. Felt like home and staff were very kind. Spacious beds and ample storage space (though personal locker was a bit small to fit my whole backpack). 10/10 would re-book on my next trip to Bologna

The best hostel I've ever stayed at! The capsule-style beds offer privacy, and the lockers come with keys. Breakfast was incredibly satisfying, and the staff were kind. A very warm hostel where both those who want to socialize and those who prefer solitude can feel comfortable.

Dopa hostel was an incredible place to stay! The atmosphere was warm, cozy and so inviting. It felt like somewhere to finally relax, a genuine home away from home. It was social too! Massive bonus. The staff were great to talk to as well as help. Loved my stay, would come back again.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere and clean facilities. Very walkable to the city centre and the train station

Even though we had a flying visit, our very short stay was welcomed by Domenica who was lovely and very friendly. We had a very early checkout and she even put a little packed breakfast together for us with some home made cake (that was delicious!) to take with us. The hostel itself had a warm, relaxed vibe and was nice and clean. Highly recommended!

Had a great time at Dopa Hostel, where the staff has positive social vibes and is genuinely welcoming. The place was clean and comfortable throughout the stay. Also it is certainly located nearby most attractions and public transportation. It offers great value for money. The only downside for me was having a small lockes. Posizione comoda, molto pulito e ordinato. Bello stile, cucina attrezzata, servizi ampi e letto molto comodo. Da ragazza l’ho sentito molto sicuro.

A wonderful stay. The hostel has everything you could ask for. Reasonably priced, clean, plenty of space, comfortable beds, good location, friendly & helpful staff with a fabulous breakfast spread. Highly recommend.
