The AC remote doesn’t even show the temperature or fan level, and the room takes almost 20 hours to warm up. The worst part was having no hot water for two days. Reporting these issues to reception is clearly not enough—you need to provide real solutions. It honestly didn’t occur to me to ask for a room change, but despite explaining every problem patiently, I ended up with a completely unacceptable experience.
J'ai pas dormi pendant mes deux jours passé ici. Les casiers qui glissent sous le lits sont bruyantes et pas pratique du tout. Hostelworld est cher pour la possibilité de dormir paisiblement.
I haven't slept in my two days here. the lockers that slip under the bed are noisy and not practical at all. hostelworld is expensive for the possibility of sleeping peacefully.
BED BUGS. My partner woke up with many bites and found a bed bug after only one night in the hostel. Hostel staff said they’d investigate and then ignored all emails afterwards. We were not compensated. A bit overpriced anyway — go somewhere else.
The worst and filthiest hostel I’ve ever been to. After 5 days our bathrooms have never been cleaned. We asked repeatedly to have the soap and paper towels replenished and they never were. Two of the three showers have broken shower doors so the water floods the floor. The door to the main building is wide open till after 2 am. The kitchen is filthy/every surface is constantly sticky. The bartender harasses you to drink and then tries to upsell you. Avoid at all costs.

They will ask for a 10€ deposit that you will not get back, i paid by card, they said i would get the money back in 7 day, still did not happen. Very scummy!
Was okay but paid 30 Euros for a 10 bed dorm. Mould on the walls and was in a separate building. Would be acceptable if the price was less. Also, stayed here the night after as part of a group booking and our rooms weren’t cleaned / ready until 7pm - 4 hours late.
Una atencion no muy amable y el tipo de huespedes no eran tan agradables en su comportamiento en ambiente comun, debido a la condicion de apertura 24 horas no se controlaba en buen ambiente de todos los huespedes, es decir, las personas hospedadas no tenian respeto por los demas y el ruido en las noches era muy fuerte.
Not very friendly attention and the type of guests were not so pleasant in their behavior in a common environment, due to the condition of 24-hour opening was not controlled in good atmosphere of all guests, that is, the people staying had no respect for others and the noise at night was very loud.
Was not an area that felt safe nor were the facilities clean. The facilities always had an unpleasant smell and I just did not feel good staying here one bit. Would not recommend it at all
The staff, in particular, were quite rude. The whole place felt very corporate, very “non home vibes”. If you want to find a good community j highly suggest going somewhere else. I did meet two sweet girls. But they allow a much older demographic into their dorm hostels and there isn’t much camaraderie.

Great location but the worst sleep in a hostel. The big lockers below the bed requires being dragged out to use each time - which is very noisy. You wake up multiple times from 5am + depending on when each person gets up.

The location of the hostel is amazing. Right smack at the heart of everything with the train station just a stone throw away. The receptionist were so helpful and were available 24/7. Check in was super easy and the rooms were great and private. Definitely will recommend.

Great place. Stayed here in a private with my partner and a dorm on my own. Both clean, comfy, good atmosphere. Would definitely stay again.
Happy with this stay, the rooftop and bar spaces were nice though I didn’t use them much, no privacy curtains but beds were comfortable, location a short walk from the train station, and bathroom attached to room is always good. I think some of the rooms are in a separate building which could really change the experience so just double check what you’re booking. Everything you need done well.

Very polite and friendly staff. spacious rooms and comfortable beds. the Cleaning of the kitchen was not so great, however, this is almost a general standard in any hostel
Front desk was great. Beds were not comfortable, didn't have wifi in annex during my stay, the rooms were dated and not in great condition.
Loved the location of the hostel and reception was really nice and helpful. We stayed in off season and originally put in a room where we did not feel comfortable with the people staying there but they upgraded us and understood. WiFi did not work in the building we were in though. It was off season so maybe it would be more social soon. Rooms and toilets were clean. I wouldn’t stay in this hostel if I came back to Porto but it was fine for the two day stay.
I stayed in the main building. ++Pros: good location (sketchy-looking street though), rooftop, good common room, comfy mattresses and solid bunks. --Cons: no atmosphere unless you join pub crawl (prob. due to low season), no curtains in beds; receptionists (apart from one) were a bit standoffish - all I got upon arrival was "take a picture of this doc, you have all the info here". **Complaint: I booked a 6p dorm. Initially only booked this hostel for three nights but after the first, it was a no brainer to extend my stay here for the entire time I spent here in Porto. This hostel had everything I was looking for in an accommodation. From the location — just outside of the touristic chaos but close enough to walk to everything you would need — to the clean and safe atmosphere of the hostel itself, genuinely created a space worthy of staying.
