Do not go here! The place is not like the images let you think it is. The owner is a liar, fraudster and a thief who stole 100€ from me after I wrote a bad review. Despite listing checkin hours until 10pm here, their website claims to be open 24/7. After sending two emails in the weeks before coming to Porto to clarify if I could check in later at night I got no reply. After calling the hostels number from the airport no-one picked up. After I called again from the closed door to ask if there was a way to get in I was insulted and yelled at for 5 straight minutes. Bettwanzen, Besitzer wirkte nich sehr interessiert am Wohle der Besucher. Einrichtung aber sehr schön, Bad und Dusche waren auch meistens sauber

Very unorganized (a lot of people could only check in much later because noone was at the reception). Toilets were extremely dirty, bathroom were quite unclean as well, the rest was clean. They tried to have a cool 'surf house vibe' but it seemed like they ran out of many halfway. Some bathrooms were under construction and a lot of things seemed to be only kind of fixed. The hostel generally is okay but far too expensive for what you get. Rather stay in Porto and take the bus to Matosinhos.

I had a nice stay but came out with lots of bed bug bites, which killed everything else for me.

It seems to be a very nice place, unfortunately I could not enjoy it as when I arrived to check in at around 17h, I was informed that the room I had reserved for three nights was not available. I was not contacted beforehand to be informed about the possible solution to this issue.

Most of the times there is nobody at the reception to help. I’ve never received answer to my email and the owner was really rude when we came back to pick up our luggage later in the day of our checkout. He kicked us out and didn’t let us use the premises like it’s commonly done in hostels.

El lugar es lejos del centro, pero está cerca de una estación de metro. Además, la atención muy mala, no había nadie en recepción a las 8:30 am para recibir la llave y hacer el check out.

The vibe was job odd. Nobody other than the staff spoke to me the whole time I was there. And the staff only spoke to me at check in and check out. Not social at all. Cool spot but don’t expect to do anything if there aren’t waves.

I really enjoyed my stay! I was there in January (low season) so it was pretty quiet. The room was nice with an outlet by the bed and curtains and it had lockers. The living room was beautiful and really nicely decorated and felt cozy. The bathroom had a nice shower, there wasn’t always toilet paper but I always have some tissues on me. The entrance door has a code to get in, they did change the code mid stay which was a bit confusing but I called and got in. Very nice owners! Lovely dog Alfre...

Property was super nice. I loved how open the space was and they really did a good job curating the vibe to be chill and relaxing. Louis is the owner and he also does the surf lessons. Super nice guy and very helpful. Really clean and enjoyed my stay. Would def come back when in Porto.

Very cool place for young people. Unfortunately I am older but still manage to travel 😉 . I can recommend this hostel for several reasons. And the most important of these is the friendly service. I have to mention Christian in the first place here. A wonderful man. Thank you to all the staff at the hostel. Best regards.

Great spot if you’re looking for to do surfing in Porto. Luis was a great guide to the local spots and took time out of his day to give us beginners some key pointers. Location is also pretty solid. Not too far from the city center and I enjoyed being closer to the ocean. The common room and bedrooms quite nice as well. Thanks for the experience!

Lovely stay, but mind the location!Keep in mind this hotel is a \mathbf{30}-minute tram ride from Porto's center. It's a beautiful, well-decorated spot with a distinct style. The second-floor bathroom is great. The two downstairs rooms are fine, but both street and internal noise are quite noticeable. Overall, it’s a nice option if you plan to be in Matosinhos, which has a lovely beach. Staff is minimal but you won't need much help—everything is clear, and the Wi-Fi is good.

Everything it’s perfect inside its amazing , the owner is amazing and next to every spots for surfing in transport or walking ! My favorite part the Décoration !

First time solo travelling, couldn’t ask for better ! Luis is among the best human I ever meet. People there are great too, easy to connect with 🏄

Louis is the patron saint of surf hostels, incredible vibe. I’ve never had a group of strangers turn into family faster than at this hostel. Defo book the surf camps.

Perfect! perfect! perfect! amazing host, outstanding hostel, surf safari I would highly recommend! most at home I’ve felt away from home!!! All love for this place will definitely be back.

Hostel was one of my favorite parts of Porto. Luis was a wonderful host and the people I met were all awesome. Highly recommend.

Súper seguro y ambiente muy familiar, muy muy tranquilo

Great hostel! Very relaxed vibe and good place to meet other people. Also amazing if you want to go surfing. The owner offers surfing lessons and will take you to beaches where there’s good waves. Would definitely come back!
