Horrible stay • ❌ No English spoken → every request turned into stress with computer typing • 💶 Cash only, no card option • 🕑 Check-in lie: not 2–7pm but 2–5pm, later +€10 • 🧳 Storage scam: promised till 5pm, cut to 1pm last minute! • 😠 Staff impatient with Portuguese, clueless, wasted 1h with chaos • 🚿 Towels rough, shower swings boiling–freezing • 🏠 Feels like a messy family house, not a hostel

L'hôtel est plutôt bien mais... grosse surprise après ma réservation : on m'annonce par email que je vais devoir payer 10 € en plus si j'arrive après 16h30... Je discute par mail... mais une fois arrivé on me dit de payer les 10 € supplémentaires ou de partir tout de suite. Je suis obligé de payer car impossible de trouver une chambre un samedi soir à Porto. Donc pratique commerciale trompeuse et comportement irrespectueux, je ne recommande pas.

Would not recommend going here off season! The lady here is very lovely but I was the only one in the hostel I think. There were not really communal spaces and it’s not close to the beach, for those who don’t know Porto. Very lonely surf vibes!

You really get what you pay for. I was in a flimsy bunk bed in the basement and you could literally see people’s feet as you slept, and the bed was so close to the person next to you it was weird. Also the stairs to go to the basement are so bizzare and make no sense…. Why would you have a stair case like that for people with luggage??? I also felt the street was kinda sketchy when I was walking home so keep in mind if you’re a female solo traveller. The only good part about this hostel is...

Our room had NO window, even the room was called “sunset room” and it was the deluxe double bed. It felt like a prison. Even we only spend one night and the hostel has flair, is clean and the stuff lady was nice; it was overprized..

Spacious rooms, nice location. Questionable staff.. I kept asking questions she didn’t know the answer to and would say “I just work here”… yes um that’s the point you should know about your place of work? Definitely not the nicest hostel I’ve stayed in and the extra fees are kinda crazy (bring cash) but the location is worth it and each room has its own bathroom and kitchen which aren’t nice but they get the job done.

the lady at the reception was very rude. She did not speak english and overall didnt seem very eager to help out. On the website it said tha after even checkout you can leave your stuff in storage for a few hours. We were counting on that since buses/planes and heavy stuff with us. she told us no. And when we showed her what it said on the site she said she didnt care and that shes not the owner. And it was particularly inconvenient cause it was raining outside. So she kicked us out

This hostel was ok to stay in for a short couple of days but our ‘sunset room’ didn’t even have a window which made it feel a bit like a prison cell

Really enjoyed this hostel. As someone who had traveled in hostels a lot, it was very comfortable. There was a kitchen and dining area, and shower in the 2 rooms I stayed in which was very convenient. The owner was friendly, though spoke little English. There was also a mix up where it said on the app I could check in til 7:30 but it was actually on 6:30, so check your email if you are unsure. Lucky a guy let me in.

Personnel pas sur place à mon arrivé et départ, mais ils ont laissé un enveloppe avec les infos et les clés. Communication A1 par courriel. Chambre très propre avec salle de bain pour le dortoir et petite cuisinière aussi.

Very nice and clean. Location is very good as well

lovely spot and a beautiful lady running the place! rooms are intimate so it’s easy to chat but still comfortable if you want to keep to yourself. strongly recommend!

Really nice hostel. Not quite in the center of town if you're looking to get among the atmosphere of Porto but a fantastic location for being right next to the river and views back across the city. Great building, the private balcony although small was really nice to go out and stand on and felt very Porto-esque

Silenzioso, quartiere non la più servita. Per il prezzo molto bene. Molto interessante che per ogni stanza ci sia bagno e cucina privata.

Adorei a minha estadia neste hostel! Foi uma agradável surpresa encontrar um espaço tão acolhedor e bem cuidado. A localização é excelente. Sem dúvida, um sítio a regressar!!!

Sauberkeitstechnisch das beste Hostel in dem ich jemals war! Täglich wird gereinigt, findet man heutzutage leider nur noch selten in Ho(s)tels. Das macht es für mich eigentlich besser als ein Hotel, gerne wieder! :D

It was an amazing experience; the room was clean with a private kitchen and bathroom, Eduarda was so helpful and kind to me, and very responsive to emails and inquiries. P.S. I was staying in wave room.

Everything wasvperfect, nice, cozy, very clean

The best place we stayed at in Portugal. Staff was so so helpful and nice and the facilities were great. Not as close to the downtown of Porto, but very close to middle of Vila Nova de Gaia. Also, the room and view was just gorgeous- stayed in the Sunset Room.
