SANTANGELA Hostel & Rooms

The room was very dirty and smelly. We could see hairs and dirt from earlier guests. Our accommodation located in upper hill which means we had to carry our luggage up several different steep stairs and it was so slippery. If you’re looking for accommodation in lake Como pay a bit more and choose somewhere better.

It’s a really good stay if you want something cheap and convenient :)

Het is een hele steile wandeling naar boven om er te komen. Onze badkamer was bizar klein, je kon letterlijk douchen op de wc. Dat zijn de enige minpunten, dus voor de prijs is het prima. Schoon en fijne bedden.

Top ich würde aber eher empfehlen, dass andere Hostel in der Stadt zu nehmen, wenn man Leute kennenlernen will. Als Familie oder eigene Gruppe die ihren Plan haben und nur für sich sind, ist es top!

really close to the ferry terminal so it's easy to get to! nice and clean rooms, and the bathrooms could be a bit cleaner but are definitely not bad by any measure. it was a little on the quieter side, seems that the sister hostel is more lively. they also say that it's a 7 minute walk to get there but it's definitely longer and also uphill with stairs so be aware if you have big luggage. staff are super friendly and helpful!

Alles in Ordnung. Bisschen ab vom Schuss. Keine Shops, Restaurants oder Bars in der Nähe. Zimmer gut und sauber

great hostel! the staff were lovely and the restaurant connected to the other location in mennagio was amazing. we got coupons for free drinks at the restaurant and a discount for breakfast. the rooms were quite nice and the facilities were decent. location was great other than the fact that it was extremely uphill which is something to keep in mind if travelling with heavy backpacks/bags. great outdoor seating area as well!

Considering the price it was great plus the staff were really friendly but the walk up is confusing and exhausting especially with luggage, I would recommend paying a little extra to stay at the main hostel which is a lot closer to the port. Plus I hated the showers but it’s bearable if you’re looking to save some money.

Awesome, cheap place. Beds were comfortable and facility was clean. The manager went above and beyond - I was seriously sick and he drove to the pharmacy to help me pick up my meds. Totally recommend this place to anyone passing through Lake Como!!!!

A nice location and have a small garden. Rooms were good, although does not have AC. Offers a good view over the lake Como on the way up to the hostel. Cleanliness was okay at best. The lockers were not serving their purpose.

Nice hostel, the only downside is the walk up the hill to get there. Other than that, it was clean and quiet and the staff was friendly.

Great hostel!! I am very pleased. Just an FYI, it is located up a hill with many stairs. So if you have accessibility needs, perhaps book somewhere else.

Such a beautiful location, a perfect retreat! All the staff and the staff at the sister hostel where great, super friendly and ready to help. We had the most wonderful time.

All the staff are amazing and helpful.. I always will comeback.. The use of the kitchen is really good.. Very quiet and clean.
