Honestly really disappointed. This hostel is pretty bad. The place looked nothing like the pictures and was extremely dirty. The bathrooms were especially bad, clogged and filthy. We only stayed one night because we felt so unsafe that we decided to leave and find another place. Breakfast was basically just a banana and coffee.
i was really disappointment with the hostel staff. They are not accommodating and lack social skills. Be it to retain customer, negotiate, talk fair. All they say is its policy. Even the internet at the karma room sucks big time. i came in with big hope to stay longer but left in a hurry as even when i asked about additional towel, i felt unwelcome and a crazy statement as pay money first before even talking. Really sad!
I made a reservation but after reading the many horrible reviews people left tried to cancel the very next day. I called the phone numbers provided on the website but none of the calls went through so after many futile attempts I gave up and then tried to write to cancel but NONE on those many emails requesting a cancellation were ever answered… so I lost my two deposits!
Do not rent the biggest room if you want to rest! They partied loudly right in front of my room until the morning and I could hear everything. When I asked them to stop they would say yes and then continue. The great majority of that was staff, volunteers and their friends from outside the hostel. I even had a conversation with Abraham, one of the staff, at 1 AM, as I couldn’t sleep, and he told me that yes they were disrespecting me but that it was normal because it was now a party hostel.
Don't. Just don't. The place is dead, left to rot. They are just abusing the corpse.Needs repairs, maintenanc and a lot of cleaning.Dirty. la ubicación es magnífica la cocina, las escaleras muy sucias, colchón regular, le falta mejor administración, me cobraron 280 la noche y la aplicación decía 209, con impuestos, no respetan los precios de la aplicación.

Personale molto accogliente e disponibile ma non concentrato sulla gestione dell’ostello. I bagni sono insufficienti e non puliti. Le docce sono in un’anticamera del bagno che non ha porta. La cucina era sporca in generale. Il campanello suona a tutte le ore molto forte. Gli orari di silenzio non sono stati rispettati. Le lenzuola erano sporche. Sospetto che le recensioni positive siano false. Ho chiesto un rimborso che non mi é stato dato del tutto.
The bathrooms are inadequate and not clean. The showers are in an anteroom of the bathroom that has no door. The kitchen was dirty in general. The bell rings at all hours very loud. The hours of silence were not respected. The sheets were sparse. I suspect that the positive reviews are false. I asked for a refund that was not given to me in full.
Very dirty throughout the entire space. Bathrooms are very disgusting. Trash bins and toilet bins are always overfull. Floor in any area never gets cleaned. They fight bad smells with incense sticks. Weird vibe because most of the people are locals with serious life problems who stay long term. Breakfast is a simple fruit bowl with bananas and apples. Uncomfortable mattress. Bad instalations. Noisy traffic. Pictures on hostelworld don't show reality. No spirit hostel is a rather accurate name
worst hostel ever! bedsheets were filthy, the floors had tons of dirt and poop on them, when i woke up and asked the people for a towel they laughed at me and reception wasn't available. the price was different when i arrived. i strongly recommend not to go here and save your money
It’s terrible place. no security no privacy. There’s curtain in the room but it’s see-through, everyone can see our room from outside. and there’s no keys for room, everyone can open. Our room is on the first floor under the stair, every time people go up and down, it sounds like firecrackers. This place is absolutely not soundproof.

+ Ubicación cerca de centro de guadalajara, la terraza, que había gatitos. El espacio y concepto es bueno, puede mejorar, solo está descuidado.
- El día del checkout tenía programado iniciar el día temprano aprox. 5 a.m. para aprovechar el día y salir de visita a chapala, pero resultó imposible debido a que los inquilinos/anfitriones realizan fiestas-convivios por la noche hasta las 4:30 de la madrugada, por lo que no pude dormir hasta esa hora. (Ademas que discutian a un lado de mi habitación en voz no moderada y al finalizar su fiesta estaban batallando con uno de sus compañeros al bajar las escaleras.) Se entiende que por ser hostel y por el nombre del lugar "free spirit" contemplen un concepto liberal, pero al tener una politica de no ruido a partir de cierta hora (pegado en la puerta de la sala planta alta) y no cumplirse, evidentemente me generó una espectativa de tranquilidad, que no fue así. (Sólo el primer día, la música estaba excesivamente alta en el área de gimnasio, pero el ruido se acabó como entre 9-10 pm). Este lugar realmente tiene potencial, le falta algo de atención, porque el ser un hostel que recibe viajeros mochileros, no significa que no debe ser atendido en limpieza y organización, es más, si se trata de hermandad, pueden organizar una parte de su dia entre todos los hospedados si entan de acuerdo y realizar una buena remodelación, aseo y diseños variados que le daran un toque de magia y renacer al lugar. En cuanto a la atención, al chico recepcionista le doy un 8, la chava le daré un 9 por chambearle aun así habiendose desvelado y por que se veia alivianada, había otra chica que le dijimos buenos dias y no nos respondió, y no es culpa del hostal y nuestras altas espectativas, es que en nuestra visita, la hospitalidad del jalisciense fue demasiado calida. He visto las respuestas que dan en los comentarios similares al mio, por lo que he de aclarar que ni quedé debiendo, ni fui grosera, ni dañe alguna zona de las instalaciones. Me hospede ahi porque en años anteriores me había llamado la atención el lugar, soy fan de los hostales.

+ Nada. No respetaron mi reserva, o sea, no reservaron nada y no me han tramitado la cancelación y la devolución de lo que pagué.
- La informalidad y desorganización. Y nadie se hace responsable. No se enteran de nada.
He tenido la oportunidad de hospedarme varias semanas en Free spirit Hostel, debo decir que ha sido una experiencia impresionante, he conocido muchas personas de diferentes países y formado amistades sinceras con ellas, he aprendido de su cultura, practicado el inglés y bailado con ellos. Creo que es algo que todos deberían experimentar, salir de casa y aventurarse con personas que quieren vivir libremente como tú, y como yo.
I had the opportunity to stay for several weeks at Free spirit Hostel, I must say it has been an impressive experience, I have met many people from different countries and formed sincere friendships with them, I have learned about their culture, practiced English and danced with them.I think it is something that everyone should experience, get out of the house and venture with people who want to live freely like you, and like me.
Great hostel! Stuff is very kind and lovely atmosphere.

Tienen guarda equipaje y eso está muy cool ya que no sabía dónde dejar mís cosas después del chek out pude caminar por Guadalajara sin preocuparme de mi equipaje fue muy sencillo y el costo es muy accesible
They have a luggage guard and that's really cool since I didn't know where to leave my things after checking out I could walk around Guadalajara without worrying about my luggage it was very simple and the cost is very affordable
