Very friendly warm helpful reception. However our room was dirty, the shower didn’t work , the rack in the tiny drying room was broken so clothes all over the floor. Toilet seats broken. Breakfast disappointing . For the cost , 2 people could rent a clean en suite b&b

The cooking utensils available n the kitchen were lacking and the level of cleanliness was below average. What was worse were the "clean" tea towels which were disgusting. In addition, arriving before 4pm there was no advice found on location of lockers. When we did check in, on the landing of the first floor there were still dirty towels and a mug on the floor. Finally did it really feel staff were very welcoming.

Morags was the perfect location and staff were lovely. We were expecting basic rooms etc and they were perfectly acceptable if a little tired. Bed not the comfiest but not the worst either. We were a bit disappointed to come back to use the bar closed at before 8pm - fine if this was going to happen but no one informed us this would. The hostel was fine, Maybe you should be careful not to put a girl on her own with two old men. It wasn't reassuring at all.

Was late when we arrived and welcome packet left for us as advised. Sure I booked a double bed, as available on the site, however 3 bunk beds in the room. When queried next morn was told twin rooms available. Half the usb charging ports didn't work. No mugs available in the self catering kitchen. Nice hot water system for coffee. Quirky kind of place which I liked. Wasn't sure how to get heating. Smoking area right outside front door. Rooms and showers were nice and clean.

Top Lage in Fort Augustus. Leider war das Hostel ziemlich alt und etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Im Zimmer war überall Schimmel, Sauberkeit war ok. Das Personal war jedoch richtig, richtig nett!

Exactly what was needed after 2 nights wild camping with the bike

The place was great, perfect for a night. The breakfast was really good too.

We stayed here as part of our walk on the great glen way. We were welcomed by friendly staff, and a cosy hostel.We had private room it was clean and tidy with plenty of charging points. Communal areas are clean, comfortable and have lots of games. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking, when we stayed the dinner menu/hot breakfast menu wasn’t running which was a shame but plenty of toast / cereal, just not enough soy milk for everyone, but an easy fix as there is a shop just a few minutes away...

Ostello molto bello. Abbiamo potuto avere una camera con bagno privato. Molto comodo e pulito. Buonissima posizione ai piedi del Loch Ness nella deliziosa cittadina di Fort Augustus.

We loved it at Morag's Lodge. Friendly staff, wonderful relaxing atmosphere. perfect location. We would definitely go again.

Well-situated, just a 5-minute walk from most everything in Fort Augustus. Clean and quiet, although there are limited options for secure motorbike parking.

Great location, awesome vibe, great value dinner and super nice staff. However, there are no lockers provided, no free towels and no privacy curtains between beds. The addition of these last three would make the hostel a 10/10 for me.

Super great place to stay while traveling through the highlands. My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was great! Kitchen was well stocked and beds were comfy. Bathroom was clean and the whole place was very cozy.

Put in a room with 3 snorers so didn’t get a wink of sleep - went out to my car to get other clothes at 4am and was locked out - not a happy chap

I love ❤️ this hostel on loch ness 😍! It is convenient for traveling without a vehicle and just a 5 minute walk from bus stop ! This ideal location is great for understand the slower pace of scottish life ! I am grateful for Sara who kept my privacy when someone was seeking information on me ! This is what you want as a solo single female traveler GIVE her a raise I will be here a few more days and off to a new location Just ideal,really

Good place to stay in Fort Augustus. Clean, good shower (too hot if anything - but touch the control and it stopped), nice buffet breakfast including porridge (vg for cycle touring). Locked bike storage shed.

cosy little stay, food was decent good veggie options, breakfast buttery's were good !! lockers outside of the room which is a bit of a pain but no major issue. good location walking distance to everything in fort augustus. bar area is good with decent prices considering the area. would stay again :)
