HI Charlottetown Backpackers Inn

Staying here was super convenient as it has late check-in and is located super close to downtown. While the neighborhood is quiet you are a quick 5 minute walk to bars and restaurants. My only negative comment was that I was surprised to find that the mixed dorm had no bed privacy so bring pjs!

Awesome! One of the staff members knows American Sign Language — you’ll feel welcome and understood, with great awareness of Deaf culture! :)

Love the stay here. People (both staff and guests) were lovely and it is a great location. Everything is well organised and clean and it’s great value for money.

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights. The hostel was very clean and well organized and the staff were friendly and helpful! We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it to other travelers. The small lockers for bags were all located on the second floor rather than in the rooms which was one thing a bit different than other hostels we’ve stayed in. Also the code to get into the hostel and into the rooms was the same, so that made us feel a bit of a lack of security.

Shannon est une personne extraordinaire qui trouve le temps de rencontrer les visiteu.se.rs de son auberge à toutes heures de la journée. L'emplacement central est super accomodant, et l'auberge est super bien équipé et vraiment propre! Le garage est vraiment fantastique pour rencontrer des gens et passer une belle soirée.

My roommate and I were so pleased with the service provided by this boutique-style hostel. It is clean, well-stocked, has an excellent staff who will provide any advice you ask for, and was an overall, fantastic time!

The greatest place. Good location to Charlottetown and very knowledgeable staff. I feel like I was going to camp with a lot of friendly people. Everyone very happy and shared their experiences of visiting PEI. Nice place to relax after a busy day and very comfortable lounge areas. I will be back. Like coming home.

Both staff were very knowledgeable about PEI in general & not just their surrounding area. Professional yet friendly & related well to all of us. I'll recommend them to others

I just had a wonderful time in this beautiful house/hostel. It is just such a cool place and everyone there is very chill. I was attending the Irish Gathering so I was being very busy touring around so I didn’t even get enough time to chill around the house and have fun with the hostel guys but we did have a few nice chats. I just loved being there, and I loved being on the island again and meeting the islanders again. Shannon and all the staff were terrific.

We had a great time here! Staff are very friendly, accommodation very comfortable and clean. Good breakfast and the hostel is small so has a nice homey feel to it. Recommend to all!

We had a lovely time at the Backpackers Inn. The facilities were good, great location and the breakfasts were great. Shanon was so welcoming and helpful, with great recommendations.

Superbe accueil et atmosphère, on se sent comme à la maison. De nombreuses activités, des conseils sur les choses à voir à faire, une hôte qui n'hésite pas à rester papoter pour le petit déjeuner et qui est arrangeante. Seul petit bémol le matelas de la chambre privative (à éviter avec un dos sensible).
