Ljmonade

Great location; I don’t think there is better hostel-wise in Cascais, but still expensive for what it is. The kitchen is great, there is a big dining/working room and outside patio. They did a big meal which was free for all guests on Thursday eve. I have marked lower for security and facilities because our room door did not lock and the lockers were very flimsy (but ok). Also there was only one shower for our block, and no air conditioning - one fan in the room of 5 which only covered 2 beds

Was staying in a privat room with a balcony. Overall was nice, the room is clean, but seems a bit worn. And there is no noise isolation like at all, you can hear everything happening in the hostel and outside. At night I heard every car, since our window was facing the street. But despite that everything was very good. The staff was supportive and helped with tips, location is at a walking distance from the main parts of the city, and a pretty quiet area (no bars or noisy restaurants around).

Booked a private room. Hostel was in a good location and had what we needed. Unfortunately woke up to find a bed bug in one of the beds in the room.

Water in the shower was not adjustable, so it was just too hot to use.

We stayed three nights and had a good stay. The staff was very friendly and showed us around. The beds don’t have curtains and we’re single beds, not a typical hostel vibe. Also, it was very hot in the rooms, there were some fans but still quite hot in the summer. Very good location, a 5m walk from city center but still quiet from all the main streets! Overall good experience:)

Hotel staff were very welcoming, facilities were clean. Staff gave great recommendations of where to see in the area. Within walking distance of all the sights in Cascais. Of note, we booked this hostel as it listed AC was available in the rooms. There was no AC in the room. There was a small fan which did not work to full capacity, could not feel any air from it. The room was very hot at night making it difficult to sleep.

Nice place, felt very homey. There was no AC but room had a few fans to help with the heat. It’s located about 15 mins walk from the downtown area and beaches. Not a social hostel at all, and a bunch of rooms shared only a few toilets.

Ich hatte eine sehr gute Zeit im Ljmonade Hostel. Bei Ankunft wird einem das ganze Hostel ein Mal gezeigt und man kann sich immer an die netten Mitarbeiter wenden, wenn man eine Frage hat. Unter dem Dach im Schlafsaal ist es sehr warm, es gibt aber Ventilatoren. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und es gab sogar jeden Morgen frisches Brot, Müsli und Kaffee. Vom Hostel aus kann man auch Surfstunden buchen. Ich habe dort sehr nette Leute getroffen und kann es somit sehr empfehlen:)

The is such an underrated hostel! It is seriously in the perfect location for everything. The rooms are so cute, and they fit the Portuguese surf vibe so much. I felt so safe as a female traveler and it was just perfect

Amazing location in a quiet neighborhood but super close to the beach and city center! Great kitchen with lots of storage for personal cooking items, so nice to have basic food items like oil, spices, bread and coffee provided! The terrace/garden was the best place to eat and relax after a long day of visiting the city and surrounding areas like Sintra. Staff were always very kind too. One of the coziest, most comfortable hostels ever. There are so many thoughtful touches that it really feels like a home. The physical layout is like a home as well so there is a lot of privacy and a lot of different places to chill. They offer free bath towels, beach towels, and umbrellas. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need (including some spices/oil/garlic), and has every kind of cooking appliance (oven, stove, microwave, toaster, panini maker). Probably the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in! The stuff was friendly. Asked for a lunch recommendation and the rec was perfect!!It’s a very close to a lot of the sites I wanted to see. The only qualm is the ceiling is a little strange in one of the rooms so I and some others would accidentally bump our heads.

Lovely staff and easy stay

I definitely recommend this Hostel in Cascais. The female dorm was really nice, comfy beds and lockers available. 10 minutes walk from the city center, and the staff is really friendly.

Super Hostel mit großer Küche, inklusive kostenlosem Brot und Marmelade, Kaffee und Tee inklusive. Super nette Mitarbeiter, die immer bei Fragen zugegen sind. bequeme Betten. Ich komme gerne wieder :)

12/10 it was amazing! first solo trip ever. Not super social but social enough. Met people through the meet up app, and they were amazing! Also the front desk guy was so helpful, kind, and informative. Would visit here again.

great location, free beach towels and umbrellas for guests. quiet street, big rooms. No ac but they had 2 fans in the room so it was fine. highly recommended
