Promax Villa

There was a lot of mould on the ceiling and the upper walls in the room. The windows were dripping wet from inside. The drain of the shower was a bit clogged so you stand in filthy water quickly. That was a disgusting. No soap provided for washing hands on the toilet. Only good thing: the “host” (not the owner - he was not around) is a nice dude. All in all I would not stay there again.

The Host is very nice and helped us with organizing our trip and gave us tips for activities close by. You have to be aware that the hostel is not right in the city center (5min ca. 300Rs by tuktuk or about 20 min by foot), therefore there are not many restaurants or places to eat directly st the hostel (30 min to loversleThe room itself had a very high humidity and there was black mold on the ceiling. The mattresses were a bit damp due to that and your stuff might get some dampnesss to it.

Good stay but humidity in the room, had to ask to use the dryer. Not very social but the people are very nice

It was a quite expensive hostel for the fact that it didn’t offer a lot. The way from the train station was quite far, but the surrounding areas were pretty. It was a good stay for one night but not worth it to stay more than that.

The villa is a little outside the town, but was ok for us as we had a driver. The private room was cold and our clothes felt damp the next morning. Very good hot shower.

Was quite old and the walls are moldy. We had one ensuite bathroom for 6ppl but they had no extra one outside so it was occupied very often. I am not sure if the blankets are getting washed after you have used them. Plus point: hot water. The host was dry but friendly :) Wifi was s***.

Het was prima. Echter staat er dat het inclusief ontbijt was, maar deze moesten we uiteindelijk wel betalen.

At arrival we were welcomed by a very friendly host who booked a driver to take me and a few people to an early morning walk in Horton Plains and it was expected to arrive back at the hostel at the time of check out (11:30). We came back at 1:30pm and were then pressured by the main host to pay for an extra night because they "lost business" due to our delay. - There was another empty room - They had the driver's contact - Check in would happen later anw - This is not how you treat customers

booked 4 bed dorm and was put into an old 6 bed dorm right next to the breakfast area/main door. that bathroom was old, the room super smelly, door was hard to open and close. but the correct 4 bed dorm was good. Great bathroom, no smell, good mattress. don't stay in the 6 bed dorms m on ground floor.

Such a nice and cozy place. The breakfast omelet was amazing and the staff was really nice.

The cleanest hostel you will see in Sri Lanka! Especially for couples or those booking a private room, it’s a great place to stay - very well connected, friendly people, and thick blankets. The only thing you should know is that at the time of my stay, it didn’t really have social hostel vibes but rather more of a hotel atmosphere. I hardly met any other travelers, which was totally fine for my circumstances.

This is a lovely hostel, the owners are super friendly and helpful and the hostel is so clean and spacious. A lovely place to relax and get a good night sleep!

Really one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in so far. The staff was amazing and even cooked dinner for us (which was amazing). The hostel is really clean and the location is perfect :)

Super Hostel mit sehr großzügigem Aufenthaltsbereichen. Leider nicht so super sozial, war aber auch nur eine Nacht dort.

Fijne plek met ruime en schone kamers ! Ik moest hier noodgedwongen 3 nachten blijven omdat ik ziek was. Er werd door het personeel heel lief voor me gezorgd. Hij maakte eten voor me en heeft medicijnen voor me gemaakt. Echt een fijne plek!

Super friendly and helpful Host, definitely recommend this place for it’s quiet side as it is slightly outside of busy town !

Nice hostel in Nuwara Eliya. Room was nice, I didn't find the bed too comfortable but did the job. Would be nicer with curtains etc. in the dorms. Shower was unbelievably nice, hot water pressure was elite especially in the cool mountain climate 😩

The family was so kind and so helpful. They really cared and had great recommendations. Not really social but has great common spaces as well. Would highly rate this place.

Loved my stay at Promax! The staff and managers are amazing and so helpful, always happy to help and wanting to make sure you’re enjoying yourself and have everything you need. They even washed my trainers for me after a very muddy hike which I’m so grateful for given they’re my only pair! I extended an extra night just because I loved it so much. The common areas are next level as well. Would recommend if you want either a chilled or a more social stay - it provides both😊

Lovely warm showers and cosy dorm rooms. Staff were so friendly and the breakfast was good. The common area could’ve been a bit more of a socialising spot is the only thing!

We stayed in one of the private rooms and really loved our stay. The room is very spacious and clean, the bathroom looks brand new. The breakfast is amazing (a very big omelette with loads of toast, butter and jam served with coffee or tea). The hostel is social but not crowded. The location is also perfect with everything within walking distance. Would definitely recommend!

The lounge/ common areas are amazing. Lovely views out of the French windows that lets all the sunlight in. Lots of comfy sofas as well to chill on and chat to people. Comfy beds and pillows. Although thicker blankets I still found it cold in bed in the evenings! Lockers in rooms Hot water showers Friendly staff Missing a few simple things like soap in bathrooms and hand towel/ tissues to dry after washing hands.
