Coco Hostels - Weligama

Very well located hostel and nice management

We had a great stay with Coco Hostels. It wasn’t very busy but the staff still made us feel very welcome. It is also really close to the beach and everything you need.

Right opposite the beach. Large, clean, comfortable and well equipped private rooms. The staff are very friendly and never stop smiling.

In great location however was in private room and just felt unclean.

It was a very nice stay. The air condition room was perfect with comfortable beds and the shower/bathroom right there. The owner was very accommodating and made a great Americano coffee and pancakes. Would stay again

Good breakfast and great recommendations for surf schools and surf board hire.

The best hostel in Sri Lanka. Fayaz and his team are amazing, serving the best pancakes my kids could ask for. The location was great as we were close to the surf schools, but it was still quiet at night. We got some great info about our further travels from Fayaz, and even when we arrived in the middle of a nationwide power cut, nothing was too much trouble. Good atmosphere in the place too as people were on the slackline and organising beach activities too. Highly highly recommended.

De locatie van dit hostel is top! Je bent binnen 2 minuten op heb (surfstrand) en alle restaurants zijn op loopafstand. Ook het ontbijt was erg goed (fruit met granola en melk is aan aanrader). Maar bovenal was de eigenaar erg behulpzaam, hij stuurde iets dat we vergeten waren op naar onze volgende bestemming.

Great little spot for one night. Close to the beach, but not a very social group while I was there. Staff was awesome and super friendly. Pretty sure there was only one bathroom. Meaning one toilet/shower shared between 20 people

Such a nice welcome to Sri Lanka. Raj was super nice and welcoming, i felt super secure as solo traveller and it felt homey, serene at evening and night time (which is super important in hectic and sound polluted Welligama). Super clean, facilities and amenities were superb, coffee and food is reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Okay. Very quiet and no social atmosphere, if that's what you're looking for I'd advise elsewhere.

This was my fave hostel in Sri Lanka. Fab chilled vibe to come home to every night, perfect location slap bang in the middle of weligama. comfiest beds i've slept in the whole of SE Asia. Great a/c rooms, fab breakfasts, bathrooms SPOTLESSLY clean. super friendly management who were always happy to help me out. I only have good things to say about this place. Came for 3 days,stayed for 21!! Will defs be back, thanks guys xx

A super nice and chilled property, the staff were also great. I hope they keep getting more backpackers arriving, it’s definitely better than other local hostels. Good coffee as well!!

We moesten er ‘verplicht’ verblijven omdat ons hostel vol zat maar we hebben fantastisch geslapen. De eigenaar is ontzettend aardig en ze hebben aan alles gedacht. De locatie is wat verder met helemaal niet belastend. Wil er zeker nog een keer terug komen!!
