+ Nice bartender and friendly staff, everything else was horrible
- The worst bed I have ever slept in. The standard room was a closet, Room #4 is absolutely horrible
- Cold shower , noise , no pool access , AC didn’t not cool the room
+ The location was great. The beach front was very nice, and the lounge area was very peaceful.
- This was classic example of bait and switch. The room description stated, "view" and since this property is ocean front, one would expect that to mean that the room has a view of the ocean. That is not what we got. We got an inside room, with no porch, not view of the ocean at all. When asked about this, the staff said, "yes, it has a view, but not of the ocean. Well, every room has a view. That is a ridiculous explanation. The shower has hot water, but the staff failed to tell us that the dial on the shower works backwards. The blue line, which is normally cold, was actually the hot water. We did not learn of this, until we met another guest explained how their shower works, and that was not discovered until the day we left, thus we endured cold showers for two days. A simple explanation would have been very nice and expected. While the property is nice, the bait and switch was terrible. We specifically chose this room and place for the ocean view. I would recommend you go there.

- I booked a double room with a balcony and sea view - the view to the sea is through a small window behind the bed in a room that hardly is big enough for a double bed, I was also told the balcony is the upstairs walkway - to access the rooms one has to walk up a rather treacherous wooden staircase, the so called sea view is also overlooking an extremely dirty rooftop, breakfast and parking are down the road - so disappointing however we didn’t stay as the reception man gave us a full refund which we appreciated
+ En general nuestra estadía fue buena, pero considerando el valor del hotel, hubo varios detalles que nos decepcionaron. El hotel es caro y muchas de las instalaciones que se ofrecen (pileta y el área del desayuno) están ubicadas aproximadamente a una cuadra y media de donde se encuentran las habitaciones. Pertenecen a otro hotel. Lamentablemente, la habitación no estuvo a la altura del precio. Era chica, la cama también era pequeña y se notaba vieja. Al igual que la heladera que también hacía ruido permanente. El techo tenía parches mal hechos, lo que daba una sensación de poco mantenimiento. Tampoco había buena ventilación. La ventana no se podía abrir y daba hacia la recepción, por lo que no entraba aire fresco ni luz ya que al dar a la recepción era incómodo. A esto se suma que la bacha del baño estaba ubicada fuera del baño, algo incómodo y poco práctico. Lo mejor de la estadía fue sin dudas el desayuno: muchísima variedad, todo fresco, rico y de excelente calidad. Realmente se destaca y mejora mucho la experiencia.

- Rooms looked old, paint was faded in some locations, our bathroom door could not close (even if you tried to lock it), stairs were to steep ( if you are old or disabled, you could fall), the hotel had a pool, but it is on another property and that gate doesn’t open unless someone else is on the inside to let you in

+ Lage ok, Ausstattung im Badezimmer gut. Schöne Anlage mit Garten und Blick auf das Meer. Frühstück im Hotel nebenan ist mit Meerblick und lässt keine Wünsche offen.
- Einrichtung sehr spartanisch, es gibt nichtmal einen Haken zum Aufhängen von irgendwas, geschweige denn Bügel oder gar einen Stuhl. Der Meerblick ist mehr ein Dachblick, zudem sieht man das Meer nur, wenn man sich vor das Fenster stellt. Fenster ließen sich nicht öffnen. Obwohl von der Straße abgewandt ist der Verkehrslärm sehr laut zu hören.

- La Perla is onderdeel van hetzelfde hotel-management als het buur hotel: Diria. Wij (ik en mijn dochter) waren voorheen naar Diria gegaan en hebben bij la Perla een nacht extra geboekt. Bij Diria werkt een luggage-carrier genaamd: Randall. Hij heeft aangeboden om onze bagage van Diria naar La Perla te brengen. Ik was de auto aan het pakkeren en liep zelf niet mee, maar mijn dochter van 16 wel. Randall heeft aangedrongen om de koffers niet gewoon neer te zetten in lobby, maar deze ook te brengen naar de kamer. Op de kamer heeft hij vervolgens mijn dochter proberen aan te raken/ zoenen. Mijn dochter ging hier niet op in. Gelukkig viel er niets meer plaats dan een aantal kussen op haar wang (die wel meer insinueerde). Ik vind het absurd dat zo iemand zoals “Randall” in deze hotels mag werken. Dit hebben wij nog nooit meegemaakt, dit is ook de reden dat wij hier niet naar terug zullen komen. Wij adviseren iedereen ook om weg te blijven van Randall of deze twee hotels.

To say that i was surprised is an understatement. Oscar was kind, knowledgeable, helpful, always available to answer any questions, and help with whatever was needed The rooms have great air-conditioning. Tons of space and cleaned daily The location ilwss unbeatable. The pool area looks over the ocean. Perfect for watching the sunset and the surfers.
J’ai adoré mon séjour à cet hostel. La terrasse avec la piscine est magnifique et offre une superbe vue sur la plage, en plus d’être peu achalandée. Des chaises sont toujours disponibles ! Les chambres sont très propres et j’ai adoré le casier sous forme de garde-robe/rangement. Très bien situé, à proximité de tout. Petit point négatif: la lumière de la salle de bain illumine tout le dortoir, difficile de ne pas réveiller les autres si on se lève en premier/se couche en der...
I loved my stay at this hostel. The terrace with the pool is magnificent and offers a superb view of the beach, besides being lightly busy. Chairs are always available ! The rooms are very clean and I loved the closet in the form of a wardrobe/arrangement. Very well located, close to everything. Small negative: the light from the bathroom illuminates the entire dorm, difficult not to wake the others if you get up first/go to bed last.

- Room was dark and somewhat spartan. No furniture, no storage space, not enough windows.

+ Das Hotel besticht durch die Lage am Strand. Der Garten mit seinen großen Palmen ist zum Strand hin gelegen. Das Frühstück im schräg gegenüber gelegenen Schwesternhotel lässt kein Wünsche offen. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an warmen Gerichten, Eier in allen Variationen, Süßes und Obst. Nettes Personal, gutes WLan, leistungsstarke Klimaanlage.
- Die Größe der Zimmer und die Ausstattung der Bäder variieren stark. Es gibt Zimmer zur Straße; die sind wirklich laut. Auf ein Zimmer zum Garten achten! Wir haben uns trotzdem wohlgefühlt.

+ L’hôtel est super bien située. La plage est très sympa. On peut bénéficier de la piscine de l’hôtel Diria-la piscine est immense et superbe. Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel. Le personnel, Pamela, est très accueillante. C’est un vrai plaisir de séjourner à cet hôtel. Chambre est spacieuse, l’hôtel donne les serviettes de plages, très pratique. La vie est splendide.
- Tour à été parfait.
+ Hotel location was good. Breakfast at the sister property was very good. The grassy garden area was nice by the beach.
- Did not like the stairs going up to second floor. They were not spaced properly and felt dangerous. Did not like the weird bathroom. Sink was so small, and there was always a bad smell in it. The air conditioning was loud. We paid a high price per night and it was rated at a 8.7 so we did expect better.
+ The staff was so kind and helpful. Being right on the beach- do I need to say more? Also, having the amenities from the neighboring resort made being there with a kiddo even easier.

- Das Zimmer war etwas unkomfortabel, das Personal an der Rezeption wirkte manchmal etwas unmotiviert. Zum Frühstück musste man etwa 350 Meter in ein anderes Hotel gehen.

+ Can't beat the location, it was so worth it to just be able to go back and forth from the beach to the hotel because it is quite hot so I didn't want to be at the beach for more than an hour at a time. Plus you don't want to leave a bunch of your belongings on the beach when you go in the water
- No closet, hangers, hooks, desk, chair, dresser or much storage in the room, my stuff was kind of scattered everywhere. The bathroom is big and nice. The stairs are a little treacherous and should be updated. Otherwise it was a good room.
+ Right by the beach and still in town! Friendly staff, beautiful terrace, rare birds and other animals sighted. And a very lovely stray cat who came to visit us every night!
- Unfortunately no pool, no drinks or food on site, so you always had to get that elsewhere - even the breakfast :(
