Really nice modern hostel. Lights, electrical sockets and curtains by all the beds. I wish there was laundry at the hostel, but I could do it at a shop called Bubbles only about 10 minutes walk from the hostel. Weirdly there was one bed in our room that didn’t have a locker? And every day they would check someone in to this bed, they would come up and find there was no locker then have to move rooms? Weird

Overall great hostel!! The bathrooms were a little dirty but I think it’s simply because there were so many people using the bathrooms that it’s impossible to keep clean. Otherwise great hostel!

A next level Hostel: modern, relaxed, great facilities, helpful team. And very cheap vs hostels in other cities. If more hostels were like this then the whole image of hostels would be transformed.

I stayed at four different hostels in Budapest and this was by far the best. Beds were super comfortable, bathrooms huge and clean, shower water got hot right away. Good wifi, and their big common area had a ton of tables and chairs for working on my laptop. It's not inherently a social hostel, but they do have a whatsapp group for people wanting to connect with other travelers, so you have that option. Only critique is that their weekend prices shouldn't be 4 times more expensive.

Be careful with the braun hair good looking girl at the reception. I payed with 20000 HUF and she went to the other side of the desk, she didn’t count in front of me, she was playing with it 1-2 minuet. She supposed to give me back around 13000 HUF for one night and she was giving me back like 3000. When I told her where is the rest of the money she didn’t even flinch, she was saying sorry sorry etc. The good oldschool trick, yeah you can say it was a mistake. Stay focused my brothers.

I was highly impressed with the hostel; it was exceptionally clean, well-organized, and the staff were extremely courteous. I would strongly recommend it.

Hostel super bem localizado, baita estrutura, quarto privativo extremamente confortável e amplo! Amei os travesseiros, banho maravilhoso, quentinho e bastante água.

Belle auberge ! Bon accueil avec toutes les explications nécessaires. Une cuisine est proposée, un bar, de grands espaces pour se détendre et un coin pour le petit déjeuner. J’étais dans le dortoir du 1er étage. C’est fonctionnel et bien agencé. Il manque une possibilité d’au moins ouvrir les fenêtres. Les salles de bain/toilettes sont à l’extérieur. Tout était propre. Je recommande !

Really, really good. Clean, friendly staff, everything works great, nice community of travellers you can always find and chat with in the common areas. Quiet at night but still close to the party areas.

One of the best hostels i’ve stayed in for sure. The security at all times was impeccable, which caused me to feel very secure in my female only dorm. the female dorms have two separate doors you must pass through with a key card leading to only female rooms. the bathroom situation was not the best as they were too small for the amount of women there, but overall i would highly recommend this hostel.

I stayed at Maverick Athenaeum with my husband twice, about six months ago and recently. The place is clean and pleasant, and the staff are friendly and professional. Prices have increased quite a bit since our first stay, and while we didn’t notice major changes, it’s still a nice place overall. Hopefully, future improvements will match the new pricing.

The hostel looks stunning and has a great kitchen! The staff is super friendly and I loved the beds with privacy curtains. It’s a bit of a walk to the center, but totally fine. However, the bathroom wasn't very clean, my bedsheets were slightly dirty, and some things were broken. Also, a real chill area with couches is missing; there are only tables and chairs. Overall a nice stay, but maintenance and cleanliness could be better!
