Newborn Hostel Budva

Some proper doors would be nice. Shout out to Volkan, he’s a good bloke and does his best but the hostel is lacking. It’s ok for one night if you’re passing through but the hostel is very average. The bathroom doors don’t lock, no lockers for your belongings, anyone can access the rooms and the communal spaces are basic and uninviting. The hostel was okay – not the best, but not the worst I’ve stayed in. I arrived around 2 a.m. and the staff were super friendly and helped me check in without any issues. I only stayed one night, so it was fine, but the lack of curtains was a bit inconvenient.

There were no curtains, no lockers, no locks on the bathrooms, mold in the rooms, kinda dirty everywhere. The hostel is open to anybody who wants to walk in. Owner blocked me from leaving a review by chancelling my booking after leaving a night earlier than planned. No refund policy. Hostel is near a very busy road, which was super loud. I didn’t feel safe at all and wouldn’t recommend for any woman to stay there.

as a solo female traveler i felt beyond unsafe and uncomfortable for the entirety of my stay. only positive is location; bus, beach, and old town all 5min walk away. decent kitchen but no microwave. hostel is incredibly open with access to dorms from the street. no lockers, and doors to rooms do not lock or shut properly. owner and friends often hang around the front of rooms, and i was under the impression they all lived there. bathroom was covered in mould and was in a disgusting state

It has some shortcomings because it has just been opened.

No doors locked, not even the bathroom. All you could hear at night was trucks and cars beeping their horns and conversions of people outside, kitchen smelt like something was off and had ants in the dish drying rack. Owner was kind though and it was close to the old town and beach

Atmosphere: the interior reeked of cigarettes and related smoke because the manager smoked heavily as did many of the occupants which was very unpleasant to a non smoker. Security: open doors, incl main access. N(o (eo key lock, passive tag, etc) , which is unusual and insecure.

I’d say it’s good for a quick night layover but can definitely work on some improvements. The manager and his friends are very nice but I did not feel very safe there as everything stays open even during the night and there is no lockers or anything. Rooms are correct but the shower was not clean and I couldn’t use it as it didn’t work.

Great potential, unfortunately very dirty facilities. The AC is leaking quite a lot and not enough bathroom.

Very standard hostel, lacks a common space aside from the outdoor area that is next to the road. While Montenegro feels safe there were no lockers or keys to the room. All in all perfectly acceptable for one night but not the cosy social hostel you look for when traveling.

Perfect hostel! definitely recommended! I would definitely stay there again! it was clean and lovely place to socialize with other guests. Hostel staff members are also very friendly and helpful. They did their best to comfort the wishes of the guests as far as I could observe. I had an amazing stay there!

Muy bien ubicado, y espacioso, lo único es que yo había pagado por una habitación de 8 personas y éramos 10. Encontré bastante sucio el baño

websites show nimber of options and rooms but once we went there we were jujust stacked up with 10 others and the other 12 bed room was locked. washroom was only one for all these people. no locker or anything.

It’s ok. Kitchen was not great and bathroom had questionable black gunk on the ceiling. No social atmosphere and the best were rickety. I did a night here and it was fine. Owner is very nice tho.

I had an absolutely fantastic time at Newborn hostel..The location is perfect, just a 5-minute walk from the old town and right next to beach...this place special was the incredible atmosphere. It's a very social hostel with daily events like free pub crawls which made it super easy to meet other travelers. owner volkan was amazing...always smiling and full of great recommendations for food and things to do. The dorms were clean and the beds super comfortable...

This is a great hostel the Owner was extremely welcoming and offered to help in anyway he could. The cardak craft beer place has some of the best beer we had in Budva and it's around the corner, definitely worth a visit. The only thing that was unfortunate was the singular bathroom. Overall I really loved my stay here and would recommend it. It's only a 10 minute walk from the main bus station and you're central if you decide to go partying.

best location of the city…very close to the attractive areas…kitchen and bathrooms are very clean

The people I met during my time here outside on the patio completely made my trip. The owner is a really great guy as well, very accommodating.
