Snow Leopard Hostel

Absolutely loved this place! Such lovely staff, who were so helpful & kind! We organised the 3-day Alu Kul hike, and it was easy and smooth. The room and facilities were also awesome, nice and clean. Highly recommend.

Great hostel

Fine hostel. Quiet and tucked away from the town. The owner and his family were very sweet, but when you bring up a pricing error on their website, they are completely unhelpful. Was a fine place to stay in Karakol, but upon my return to the town, I went elsewhere bc the money issue left a bad vibe.

Snow Leopard was the perfect starting point to figure out treks near Karakol and meet people. In fact, one of the staff members ended up being my guide on one of my favorite hikes. The staff here is spectacular and makes you feel very well taken care of and seen. Although the location isn't in city center, it has everything you need nearby (grocery store, sports / equipment rental store, a couple restaurants, and a big park). The family running this place is amazing and so so warm. I loved hearing their stories and they are always available to help 24/7. They provide many services such as rentals. Definitely easy to meet people here.

We had a great time at this hostel, the owners are super nice and helpful, especially to organize the trek to Ala Kul. Breakfast is delicious, we would definitely come again, thanks for everything!

lovely stay! I was in the dorm room for 10 days, had tons of space and honestly the cleanest hostel room I have ever had. Sheets and towels changed regularly. Jalil and his family are super kind and helpful. There was not many people in the dorm during May so had the room to myself for a few nights. super easy to get to Ak Suu, super market nearby, breakfast and dinner offered on site for a fair price. Laundry also available. A bit far from the markets, but it's a nice walk. Would stay again!

best hostel I've ever stayed at. Jalil helped take us to and rent skis and waited for us after we were late for our agreed pick up. I will never forget our time here.

I am really thankful for the hospitality and great time I was given in this hostel. The owners are really nice and can help you with any plans you want to make in the area, offering their own services of guides and horses etc but are in no way pushy to take their services over anything else you want to do. Social area is good and they run an honesty policy for water/drinks which is always a nice touch. Will stay here again when I come back to Karakol!
