Chillax Khaosok Hostel

Hostel bien situé, mais très mécontent du service du personnel car nous avons réservés avec eux un tour d’une nuit pour le Parc National et ils nous ont assurés que nos bagages étaient en sécurités et sous leur surveillance le temps du tour. À notre retour certains effets personnels étaient manquants dans nos sacs. Une fois l’hostel avisé ils mentionnent vouloir tout faire pour aider et prendre la situation au sérieux et me dirige vers la police pour finalement arrêter complèt...

Die Betten quietschen und einige haben keine Vorhang. Der Ausflug zu dem Nationalpark hat gut geklappt, haben jedoch auch noch einen Ausflug mit Wasserfall, viewpoint und hot springs gebucht und das war einfach nur ein scam. Wir haben nur die hotsprings gesehen, die btw echt nicht schön waren, wurden an der Straße raus gelassen für den „viewpoint“ und nen Wasserfall haben wir nicht gesehen. Haben uns beschwert, weil der Ausflug 600 thb gekostet hat und haben 50 thb Entschädigung bekomm...

hostel was fine, booked the khao sok tour through them which was lovely we paid for a transfer to ao nang with the hostel after Khao Sok - as did the other 15 people we were with, assured we would go directly after finishing the Khao Sok tour we were taken to a bus station (separate from the other 13 people there), told we had to get a bus 2 hours after the other transfer had left and no refund/apology given. DO NOT BOOK ONWARDS TRANSFER WITH THIS HOSTEL

Staff were rude and extremely unhelpful. We asked for assistance booking our transfer out of Khao Sok. They informed us of the options and then took our money for the booking. After booking a bus the manager cancelled our booking for no reason and informed us there were ‘no buses’ and proceeded to mocked us instead of helping us find transport for our flight the next day. Hostel is in a good location, however is not worth it and had no security.

Extremely unaccommodating hostel with the rudest, meanest manager ever and awful front desk service. They are no help for anything at all. Told us they would have a private car waiting for us to take us to a ferry that we had 2 hours to make and when we got back to the hostel there was no car and they told us they couldn’t help with calling another car or getting to the pier in general. It’s also filthy inside. Stay far away from this place

Personal war super nett und hilfsbereit, jedoch ist das Hostel wirklich voll mit Schimmel. Hätte ich mehr als eine Nacht gebucht, hätte ich das Hostel definitiv gewechselt :(

I never put reviews on here but this time I need to. We messaged Chillax to sort our tour out and put it in for April not March. We couldn’t book on to any tour as it was full then when we got annoyed (as we had already planned our next few days and accommodation) staff told us to check out and were swearing at us. Along with that, the tour was poorly run, unorganized and didn’t do some of the activities on the itinerary. I would not recommend having anything to do with Chillax

Wir haben eine Nacht in dem Hostel in einem Privatzimmer verbracht und wurden im Keller in einem super kleinen Zimmer ohne Fenster und Tageslicht untergebracht. Dafür ist das Zimmer sehr teuer gewesen für thailändische Verhältnisse. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich aber man fühlt sich abgefertigt, weil alles sehr routiniert abläuft. Die Ausstattung der Sanitäranlagen ist gerade so ok, tragen aber nicht besonders dazu bei, dass man sich wohl fühlt.

In de kamer waar ik sliep was er duidelijk schimmel in de airco. Daarnaast was er alleen een groot licht in de kamer en geen klein licht per bed en doorzichtige gordijnen dus weinig tot geen privacy. De douches waren ok maar leken niet super proper. De gemeenschappelijke ruimte en de gang beneden roken sterk naar de urine.. het bed is proper en je kan je wassen maar meer moet je niet verwachten.

After booking a night with this hostel, they changed the price of the airport transfer, we then told them we were going find our own way to which they lied and said reception would be closed when we arrived so it was not feasible. After arriving we were put into an 8 person dorm when we booked a 4 person room. The communication was poor & would not recommend this hostel for that reason but will say the rooms were clean.

Good base for visiting Khao Sok National Park, but not very sound proof dorms. Booked the floating bungalows through them which was an interesting experience. I didn’t do the trek as you were guaranteed to be attacked by leeches (which the group who did were). The beds were rock solid and the bathrooms were filled with bugs. The guides weren’t very empathetic but were informative on the morning safari which was the best bit.

Best hostel I’ve stayed at so far! Facilities are amazing and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the social activities and appreciated that it wasn’t a crazy party hostel. Perfect place for a few nights stay in Bangkok.

Wir waren hier nur für eine Nacht. Wir haben über das Hostel die Tour zum Nationalpark gebucht. Alles hat super funktioniert und war sehr gut organisiert. Die Betten waren bequem und die Zimmer waren sauber. Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Decent hostel and I booked the national park floating bungalows with them and they were very helpful. The bed was a bit hard.

Good for a night

Hostel in Khao Sok town is nice and clean. Friendly personal. Floating bungalows were basic but okay. The guide was maybe a bit too over the top. He was making more “fun” with guests than actually being a tour guide and got drunk in the evening…

I stayed here as I booked the Khao Sok floating bungalows through them and it’s a very convenient place to stay since you have to be up early. The staff were nice and especially nice to my friend when she lost her wallet. The bathrooms are all in the same room as the shower so the toilets all get wet which was annoying but manageable. Only major complaint is that the beds didn’t have curtains.

The highlight for me was the staff. I had lost my passport and all my valuables in a van and had to extend my stay here- the family was so lovely, kind and went above and beyond to help me. Rooms are clean and modern, location is central and the floating bungalows tour was amazing. Don’t expect luxury, you are literally in a cabin in the middle of the jungle!

Wir waren in einem vierer Schlafraum und hatten die Betten oben welche echt schrecklich waren. Sie waren sehr hart und ungemütlich, außerdem gab es keinerlei Ablageflächen und es war noch so viel Abstand zur Wand dass alles also vor allem das Kissen einfach runter fallen konnten. Privatsphäre gab es oben in den Hochbetten auch kaum und das Zimmer war winzig wodurch die Luft echt schlecht war. Außerhalb des Zimmers war das Hostel echt gut und die über das Hostel gebuchte National Park Tour ...

Staying in chillax the night before the tour was fine, beds were comfy and clean. However I wouldn’t recommend booking th floating bungalows tour through Chillax. Ran out of running water when it was time to shower, no fans in the bedroom, pillows were mouldy, during the ‘safari’s’ you just drive around on the boat for an hour and see a few monkeys, the place is infested with hornets, during the forest hike you just get covered in LEACHES. I would recommend looking into another tour com...

good value for price

We stayed here the night before we left for Khao Sok, and I would recommend booking the tour through them. But the hostel itself wasn’t that great. Some beds don’t have privacy curtains and my blanket had mold. The beds were also very hard even for Thai standards. Also some showers were broken and the bathroom wasn’t clean. I don’t have high standards for hostels but this just wasn’t it. It was fine for one night though.

fine for just one or two nights, before the national park but the showers and toilets are dirtttty, they’re showers and toilets in one so prepare to be waiting in the morning and a few were broken. rooms look like a prison but yeah fine if just for the night

Die Unterkunft war okay und für eine Nacht passt das schon, die Zimmer waren sauber allerdings sind die Toiletten immer mit einer Dusche in einer Kabine und dadurch waren die Toiletten meistens nass. Außerdem hat es im Zimmer modrig und abgestanden gerochen und es gab keine Fenster.

The hostel was filthy, my bed was full of dirt. The staff super unhelpful, guy at the desk said I would be dropped off at the airport, no I had to get another taxi. Fully lied, because I asked for clarification. The tour was great, but that’s because it’s another company. I don’t recommend chillax itself.

Helemaal prima voor 1 nachtje! Daarna de overnight lake tour gedaan en geregeld via chillax. Was super goed geregeld. Ook met vervoer vanuit het national park naar de volgende bestemming! Bedden waren prima. Douches en wc’s waren schoon. Was dichtbij de busstop. Wifi en airco was ook goed

Lovely staff, great bungalows for a really good price!!

Really better than expected!! The beds were very comfortable and clean, I mean the showers were not the nicest but honestly also not bad. The chilling area was also not very special but for one night before the sleeping bungalow tour its perfect! the staff was also veryyy very nice and there was water to fill up your water bottle! I would totally go there again, nothing to complain honestly!
