Hotel Texas

Staff was nice and location is great but there were several problems with my stay. First of all, they didn’t accept credit card, so I had to go to an ATM the next day and retrieve cash to pay. When I wanted to pay, i had to wait 20 minutes until someone came to the front desk, and when they did they did not have change. Mattress felt old and pillows were not great, a lot of noise during the night and early morning. For checkout similiar thing, no one was there to give the keys to (left in room...

Building was charming but dated. Bathroom was tiny with nowhere to hang your belongings. Likewise for the bedroom. Beds were also tiny. Basic but adequate for a few nights' stay. Air con would be nice but there was a fan. It was nice that there was a sink inside the room too.

Perfecto alojamiento para lo que buscaba. Muchisima amabilidad y atención. Limpio y tranquilo, en una ubicación privilegiada. Me dejaron hacer el check out cuando me vino bien, sin prisa. Una maravilla.

It was a nice stay for the couple of days. Room was for two people but they made the bed into one. There is also no ensuite just the bathroom at the end of the fall .

The location and security were excellent. The manager was very kind. Loaned me an adapter and a bottle opener. The sheets were not changed daily. The hangers in the clothes closet were extremely dusty and floor area not swept. Neither was the floor vacuumed. I left a soiled bath towel hanging over the door and it was still there after the room was supposedly cleaned. Staff friendly and kind, but everything were minimalistic at best…only 1 towel, no washcloth or face towel, no cup/napkins, etc.

Our experience at Hotel Texas was stellar. My expectations were a hostel were not very high, but this is a gem housed in a beautiful old building and Rudy was a wonderful help! He gave us a map and recommendations as soon as we got here. Great location, great staff, every need was met. We got an en-suite bathroom and felt totally satisfied by our accommodations. Can’t recommend enough. We even had to cancel a night last minute (due to a booking error on my part) and they were super helpful.

Host was helpful but fairly invasive as person belongings were moved that didn’t need to be touched. Rooms themselves were clean but in very poor condition with paint peeling and stains on the carpets. NEEDS air conditioning as was unbarably hot in summer and we stayed in many other places in italy and this wasn’t such an issue. Overall, it was a secure facility but I think for us as two young girls we felt uneasy often despite efforts in place to limit this.

Great location, room is very hot with no working air conditioning. There is a fan in the room, however, get really hot at night to sleep.

A very affordable stay in the centre of Rome - as you'd expect for the price this comes with drawbacks like no air conditioning, small rooms with a weird smell and everything's a little dated, but we were comfortable and always felt safe returning to the property even late at night.

Muy buena lugar para hospedarse, y el personal dio un excelente servicio , el único inconveniente fue que aun al tener ventiladores en las piezas hacia mucho calor adentro de estas.

The host was very helpful and friendly. The building was quite old fashioned but very central and only like a 200m walk from the metro so was well worth it! We really enjoyed our stay here and will probably be back ☺️

Great location! Felt safe and was a quick walk to most monuments. Staff was very kind, and the rooms clean. I wish it would have included breakfast in the price, but there was a cheap cafe nearby.

Excelente. La atención muy buena, al llegar te dan un mapa de la ciudad y mil recomendaciones, que hacer, que no, y que con cuidado. Te dan llave para entrar y salir y siempre hablan de manera amable. Todo siempre impecable en cuanto a limpieza la verdad.

Overall decent place although more a hotel than hostel. some issues with water but the host was up front and communicative. host was friendly
