The City Hostel

Staff were overall pretty friendly! But toilets had an unpleasant smell that came through into the room and i had bed bugs in bed 7 (April 2nd). Saw a review just after this happened that someone else had this problem a day before watch out!!

On May 1st 2026 I was badly bitten by a bed bug in bed 9. -Zack Blum

Die Unterkunft ist allgemein sehr sauber und das Personal ist super nett und hilft einem auch bei Fragen. Die Lage ist sehr gut, weil es ziemlich zentral ist aber nicht mitten im Geschehen(Party), was mir sehr gut gefallen hat. Die Betten sind groß und bequeme und sehr sauber. Außerdem gibt es Pancakes zum Frühstück und andere Snacks die im Preis inkludiert sind. Ich hatte einen guten Aufenthalt und würde wieder herkommen, wenn ich nach Phi Phi komme.

I stayed two nights, the hostel is in a great location can easily get to the port and viewing points from here. Loved the free amenities, tea, coffee, water refill, snacks and pancakes for breakfast! 22 bed room but the beds are so comfy and once you’re in your cabin you wouldn’t even know. Thank you Niki for being a great host! (Just would advise cleaning around and under the mattresses! I found an old cotton bud!)

Very comfy beds and the owner was a very nice and funny guy. Gave the best tips for Koh Phi Phi. Great location. The bathrooms were okay, sometimes a bit of an odd smell. Would definitely recommend staying here!

By far the best hostel host I’ve seen. Very friendly, approachable, and accommodating. The hostel is very clean and the price is perfect for the value you get. The location is ideal. Being only a few minutes walk from the harbour.

Lovely little hostel and very clean, failry quiet I found despite sharing with alot of others in pod beds but maybe because if time of year i went. Great time for me to do more activities rarather than partying though

Comfy beds, but the way the bunks are built allow your neighbours light to shine through the wall by your pillow which illuminates your bunk which sucks when you’re trying to sleep late at night, aside from that, lots of free snacks including pancake breakfast and coffee and other things, $1000 baht snorkel tour, nice staff. Was alright

sehr zentral gelegenes Hostel mit sehr leckeren Pancakes zum Frühstück. Der übers Hostel gebuchte Schnorcheltrip (ganzen Tag) war richtig gut.

Such a lovely host!! In great location. Be prepared to share a room with 22 other people aha!

Genauso wie beschrieben und obwohl man mitten drin wohnt kann man nachts entspannt schlafen:)) Pancakes morgens sehr lecker

I had the best time at this hostel, honestly unforgettable. It’s a small place with one room, run by Niki, who is such an amazing host. He’s funny, super kind, and always there if you need anything. Everything is easy to reach on foot, which makes it really relaxed. In the morning, Niki makes free pancakes (as many as you want!) with banana and honey. Plus coffee/tea, and toast is free the whole day. He has such a pure heart🧡 I truly recommend staying here🙏🏼

We LOVED our stay here. The kindness of the staff here made our stay, Nikki you were amazing. They would cook us pancakes in the morning and really treat us like their own family. Was in a perfect location and everything was easily walkable. Hostel was religiously cleaned and always felt very safe. Thank you so much guys you were amazing. 10/10 stay, such good value.

I think this is the best hostel in the whole land. The staff were amazing. They have free food and the place is always clean.

Lovely little hostel, the bathrooms were always kept clean and the AC was on all day which is nice. You also get free pancakes in the morning :))

I had a really great stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting. The hostel was clean, comfortable, and had a really relaxed atmosphere which made it easy to settle in straight away. The staff were honestly one of the best parts — super friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything or give recommendations. It made a big difference and gave the place a really positive vibe. Overall, a great experience and I’d happily stay here again 👍
