Tribes Upscale Hostel

This hostel is clearly still in it's early stages. So to to a degree I understand that it is not there yet. I had a bed and a locker so I was glad of that, but the front door was usually left open and there were no locks on doors after that. Staff basically missing after 10 AM and the check in/out process is practically non existent. There was something slightly off about the place at the time as it felt as if it was still being put together. For the price, this was not up to standard.

There were two major problems at this hostel. The first was that, despite being told that there would be a key in the lockbox, there was no key in the lockbox. I was told it was my fault for not warning them that I would be late, even though no one had told me to let them know and I assumed (reasonably) that a lockbox system meant it didn’t matter when I arrived. The second major problem was that, although I booked an all female room, there was a man in my room. I felt extremely unsafe.

Honestly would not recommend this place. Although the location is good, nothing else was. There was practically no security and the place was really dirty. I had ants in my bed, there was rubbish (like old toilets and everything) out front of the property and the bathrooms stunk.

I really wanted to give this hostel a better rating but it was not clean. There were ants in the bed. Bathrooms had no toilet paper for days. It was creepy and the vibe was bad. And 0 security, someone could walk straight from the street into your room with no barriers

Don’t go here. Trust me, it’s not safe or ready to be a hostel yet.

When i arrived to Rhodes in Friday, i asked for the correct adress, they answered with 'we have technical issues so we will open after the weekend' Be careful.

The hostel was creepy.There wasn't even a kettle for the guests to use.The art work included an offensive message and did not make a welcoming atmosphere.When I tried to pay the woman delayed me and asked inappropriate personal questions. However I did see the owner making efforts to improve the hostel for instance instructions on how to open the door as it was difficult. I cannot say that I enjoyed my stay in this hostel.

That place is nearly halfway finished..... Everywhere you look its 50% done working on it..... Toilets cant get properly locked most of them leave the door a bit open so you can basically see inside. Showers have nothing to hang up the shower head you gotta hold it all the time. You cant find it from the outside because there is no sign or anything just an old rusty door with a keylock on the side..... Best thing: if some guest leaves the door open anyone can walk in because there is also no rec...

Not really much on this hostel. Feeling there was a really weird. Facilities was okey and bed was comfy but couldn’t sleep there at all because I was freezing all the time. Some guy who lives/works there kept airconditioning 16 degrees all the time and every time when you tried to put more heat he turned it back to lower. I didin’t want to spend any extra time on this hostel.

Hostel with 3 bedrooms and few toilets ! I liked the amout of toilets(always free), nice living room. I was in female only room and the room was uncomfy..super tall bunked bed...and the "locker" space was weardly located cause of the limited space...likely outside the room we had a desk to keep the stuff during shower and ao on. Personal light, personal wall socket. No kitcket, No fridge, small gorgeries shop attached.

I had an amazing stay at Tribes Upscale Hostel in Rhodes — the location is unbeatable, just steps from the Old Town, Mandraki Harbour, and all the main shops. The design feels modern yet cozy, and the sunny common room / book bar was perfect for relaxing or catching up on work. Everything was clean, the dorms comfortable, and the air conditioning a lifesaver after exploring in the hot sun. The staff were friendly and helpful — overall a stylish, convenient and good-value base for discovering...

The hostel has good advantages but its visibly not ready to get used at 100% of its potential. The contact with hosts are made via WhatsApp, even the payments is done remotely via a link the host sends. The arrival is autonomous and keys are to be taken from a box at the entrance, similar to an Airbnb appartement. Rooms are not secured by locks, the bunk beds are not secured as well with safety barriers (it’s needed the beds are at least 2meters above the ground)

This hostel is new and cute, but it has some work to do as it's just a bed and bathroom right now. The reception needs to be open longer than just 3 hours for questions and check-in. The other issue I had with the hostel was security. The front door has a lock, but it's old so it's hard to open with the key so a lot of people just left it open. Also, the individual rooms don't lock, which would be nice. There aren't any facilities like a kitchenette, but there is a coffee pot for the mornings.

This is a self check in hostel. You won't see any staff. The rooms are spacious.i had the privilege to meet the owners very friendly people. Great location.

No reception, Good Place, but Need more Control..

I had a very nice stay at the Tribes Upscale Hostel, It has a great location and is great value. The Staff is very nice and helpful. I recommend it for everyone travelling alone or in groups.

My experience at the hostel was perfect! I want to thank the staff for the hospitality. From the moment I arrived, everyone was welcoming, friendly, and always available to assist with directions, recommendations, or even just a nice chat. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the common areas were cozy and great for meeting fellow travelers, and the location couldn't have been better, close to the centre and the Old town! Definitely coming back next summer! Thank you Tribes team!! 🥰👍🏼...

We spend two days in this hostel and it was a great experience !

Amazing hostel and owners! Like any new hostel, some things take their time. You can tell this hostel has just opened (less than 2 weeks ago) but the hostel is perfectly fine for a stay. Comfy beds, spacious communal area and newly renovated showers. It is a gorgeous historic building in a beautiful location and once it’s completely ready it will be very popular!
