Location and facilities are really nice but no atmosphere and way too expensive for a hostel. Lockers were also too small.

Incredible location and very friendly and helpful staff. However, the value is poor in my opinion. Across 3 weeks of travelling, this was by far the most expensive hostel I stayed in - and the worst quality. No curtains for privacy on the bunk beds, lockers are too small to fit luggage, soap dispensers sat empty for days, toilet paper not replaced for days, no hooks in bathrooms. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay, but I just think for the price you can find something much better

there is no kitchen to cook or no fridge to store the food. no tea bag to make tea! you need to bring a thick lock to be able to properly lock the lockers in the room, otherwise it wont get locked!! not all the toilets had toilet papers and the shower rooms are not properly seperated from the changing area and every where gets wet after showering. not the best hostel but good location and clean

Location is awesome, facilities are pretty good overall. Would have loved to have a fridge though. Was not a very social place, the space didn't seem to encourage much interaction. There also just seemed to be a lot of groups and pairs when I was there, not many solo travellers so it was hard to meet people. That being said it wasn't a bad place to stay.

Pretty nice, lots of showers, toilets, and sinks which is nice. They clean everyday very well. Only downside is it gets extremely hot during the day in the rooms, and the showers were not designed very well, everything gets wet, and full of condensation. Not that much opportunity to socialize with others. But it is very clean, nice beds, newly renovated. The best part is the location.

The hostel wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t amazing either. The 12 bed female dorm shared a bathroom with a male dorm which I would have liked to know beforehand. The showers only had one tiny shelf which made it hard to store toiletries/clothes. They also removed the soap in the showers half way through my stay which I found odd. The room itself was nice with a good view, however it got extremely hot and only had a small window for ventilation. Location was great and made it easy to get arou...

It was the least social hostel I did in 10 destinations. People in the room were almost all around 40 years old, all under space cake. The hostel and the equipment were modern and clean though

A nice hostel with a great location! I think that the rooms (I stayed in a 6 bed) needed a coat rack or some kind of hook for jackets/towels. Toilets are 1 per small room, good for privacy, but the light automatically shut off within 10 seconds and you have to wave your hand a lot to keep it on. The shower layout is not great. No fridge for storing any guest food. Overall clean and safe!

Really good location! walking distance to all the museums and shopping streets. it was really expensive but I was staying over Easter so it makes sense - everywhere was. The rooms were clean and there were lots of showers - the one annoying thing was that they didn't have a fridge which I only realised after I'd already bought yoghurt for the next day... other than that really nice and would recommend! wasn't very social though

Overall, I was disappointed with my stay here. They don’t provide lockers in the room so you have to store your bags in the hallway. The showers are designed to flood the room. They don’t provide any hand soap by the sinks. They don’t allow food or drink in the building unless you buy it from them. Also, I didn’t even get put into the room that I booked. I was just put wherever there was space. The place seemed very new and clean though which was nice. It’s a quiet hostel.

I’m just leaving this review to give hats off to the most welcoming and cheerful receptionists I’ve ever met at a hostel. Georgia and Selina totally rock, and they made me feel at home instantly. Thanks for the nice banter and many laughs, even if brief. Next time in Amsterdam I’ll make sure to book at Stadsdoelen. Buona giornata, carissimi!

Stayokay Amsterdam Stadsdoelen was very clean, quiet, and secure. The bathrooms were very clean, and I appreciated that each shower/toilet stall was an individual room. The staff was super kind and helpful. My room was very clean, and the bed was pretty comfortable. I would recommend Stayokay Amsterdam Stadsdoelen to anyone who is looking to have a quiet place to return after they're daytime adventures!

I really liked this hostel and had a great time as a solo female traveller. It was clean, and everyone was super friendly - I met some great people! The only thing was the lockers don’t work if you have a flexible lock, but each room has their own keycard so I wasn’t too worried and they do have locks you can buy.

Très bien situé dans Amsterdam ! Hostel très sympa, les chambres sont grandes et plutôt cool. Une vraie cuisine aurait rendu l’hostel parfait haha (il n’y a que le minimum : micro-ondes et une bouilloire)

best location and easy access to city center, grocery shopping and transportation, friendly staff, clean area and good safety, I was totally satisfied during my stay... Thank you for everything "Stayokay" hustle!

Overall an amazing stay, very nice facility and I feel very safe. The chill space and kitchen downstairs are nice and cozy, a good spot to get some work done or hang out in the middle of the day. The location is great and very walkable to many cafes and close enough to the museums and train station. The only thing that could be better is there are no curtains on the beds but there are little boxes so you aren’t totally exposed.

Super clean (bed, bed sheets, restrooms, showers), great location, no loud noises of any sort (stayed in room 202), and overall a great experience for those looking for comfort and relaxation.

Tuvimos un buen recibimiento y el personal amable. Los baños un poco sucios pero los limpiaban seguido. Ubicación a unos 20 minutos de la estación central de trenes, a 10 minutos de Barrio Rojo que son las calles más transitadas.

I would definitely recommend this hostel and will be returning. I felt safe as a solo female traveler. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. Perfect location, in central but in a quiet area.
