BIG MAMA Berlin

Don't! As a woman I felt very insecure. I booked a room with four beds and a toilet, but the toilet was also shared with the room next to it. There was a bad smell in the corridor and in the next room people were smoking and the smell was noticeable. No kitchen, impossible to meet new friends. It's more of a hotel than a hostel. The location is bad and the neighborhood feels very unsafe. The staff was quite nice though.

Very dirty, blood stains on walls, dirty table and sticky floors. Service was the only nice thing.

The shared bathroom in our 8 beds room was not cleaned in 6 days

Bedroom - good lockers with hanging space & sockets by beds. Comfy beds too, but curtain didn’t pull accross the window. Bathroom - had issues with no hot water from the tap, staff gave us a different bathroom to use when informed. The temperate in the showers went hot and cold and were slightly grubby in places, smelling like eggs. Social area - a very nice small kitchen with fridge/sink/kettle. sofas and a television round on the other side & lots of table space.

Schönes Hostel mit freundlichen und hilfsbereiten MitarbeiterInnen. Lage ein wenig außerhalb, vermutlich deshalb weniger Leute dort (oder nicht so der Treffpunkt als Hostel, trotz schönem Bar-Ambiente. Beten bequem, insgesamt sehr ordentlich, Schließfach mit Schlüssel inklusive, geräumige ABlagefläche und Zimmer mit Platz (4-Bett-Zimmer)

Ce n’était pas vraiment une hostel, mais plus un hotel donc la clientèle est plus vieille. Aucune activité organisé et brunch à 12€. Sinon, les chambres sont vraiment très grande et propre.

This place isn’t great. As a woman , I was met by some other not very nice men who were staying in the hostel. The door lock kept breaking. There’s no kitchen or laundry space. Yea the breakfast is good and the bed is comfy and the staff are nice. But the general atmosphere is not nice. Would not recommend to a friend

BIG MAMA location was not the safest and police sights were frequent.

Nice hostel with great beds and huge lockers. Staff is nice and helpful. Unfortunatly not very clean but ok and no kitchen.

Le camere matrimoniali private sono enormi, pulite ogni due giorni e ben organizzate. La struttura all'interno è moderna, ben tenuta, la reception sempre aperta è un grande punto a favore e la clientela è mista (ci sono anche famiglie). La posizione è ben servita dai mezzi, a pochi minuti a piedi da una stazione metro che arriva in centro rapidamente. Due supermercati nei paraggi. Unico neo: la zona dopo il tramonto non mi faceva sentire sicura, problema credo diffuso in molte aree di Berlin...

Everything was great but the shower has a big problem. If that was also fixed for price it would have been perfect. Having a shower in the morning is a huge adventure. Its too cold and then as i slightly adjust it to heat there would be any change, and then all of a sudden it becomes boiling hot. so after about 10 mins of trying i gave up and then took the shower in the 5 seconds gap of changing from cold to hot.And the shower has two modes, massage and normal, but really its pinching and peirce

Nice and cozy hostel with more private bathrooms than others. I love the free tea and lounge area

everything was good , no complaints, staff was good too , Lucas who works there was a great help and a very nice person, free coffee n free tea was on of the great features

Alles super! Zwischen zwei Spielplätzen gelegen, was für die Kinder super war. Das Frühstück sah verlockend aus, war uns aber zu teuer. Ansonsten alles perfekt.

Es hat uns dort sehr gut gefallen. Alles war super. Reichhaltiges Frühstück. Zimmer/Betten waren i Ordnung. Einige Minuten von der U-Bahn entfernt.

It is a great place to stay, not in the middle of the city, only 30min away by tram or bus, very quiet and calm, which make it special, really enjoying my time. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, The only thing missing was a stove and perhaps a toaster, this would help for cooking own meals, preparing lunch or dinner, etc. But in the overall, I highly recommend the hostel!

Ottima struttura, camerate con numero corretto di ospiti e bagno comodissimo. Sala comune con ultetriore bagno al piano molto utile. Consigliato!!!

anyone who said the neighborhood or hostel was “unsafe” has either never been to a big city that had a multi cultural district or is dumb lol, staff were amazing, everything is super clean here and it’s VERY safe you are just in a turkish neighborhood, only downside is this is very much a hotel not a hostel don’t expect a lot of events or anything like that! overall would stay again though

Big Mama is a beautiful hostel. Our double room was spacious and clean. The hostel is located in a beautiful area with an easy and quick access to the city center. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

**Big Mama Hostel – A Lovely Stay!** The friendly staff are always smiling and ready to help. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Rooms are clean and cozy with a homely feel. The quiet, green location adds to the relaxation. I had a wonderful time and highly recommend it!

Fijn hotel, netjes en schoon. Goede bedden en de bakker zit om de hoek voor lekkere ( belegde) broodjes.

Première expérience en auberge de jeunesse et je n’ai pas été déçu, aller y les yeux fermés. Malgré le fait qu’il est excentré par rapport au reste des lieux incontournables de Berlin vous allez également profiter du calmes des quartier osloer stras

The absolute best hostel ive stayed at in Germany. There was not one complaint. I really liked the idea of being allocated a bed, cause usually you check in and have to secure your own and hope noone moves your stuff. They give you a key to a locker that corresponds to your bed for no extra cost. Will definitely use them again and highly recommend...🍻🍻

The staff are incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. They were the best part of my stay! I found the common lounge to be comfortable and chic. The facilities were cleaned daily.
