- You can't be sure that you can check in even though you booked in advance. When we arrived the room which we booked wasn't abailable anymore because they were full. Even though they were full there were still rooms available on Booking.com. The receptionist tried to find a solution and after 1 hour the room which we booked was magically available again. They offer fruits and coffee for breakfast but there were no fruits. In our opinion a very bad service. Also the Wifi and toilet flush are extremly bad.

I stayed here cos it was 10*. The receptionist was lovely so I don't want to leave a bad review, but I want to be helpful for future travellers. I found the dorm to be quite stuffy with no ventilation and a smell from the kitchen. The doorbell rang throughout the night waking me up, and the boiler was so loud it also kept me awake. Also the price doesn't include tax which seems to be more than at other hostels. Good things were location, hot shower, warm blankets, & light and power for each bed.
+ The hostel staff were available to let us into our room at around 11pm when our bus was very late. Rooms were comfortable.
- The kitchen was extremely dirty and the hostel staff didn't clean up their own mess! They were also not very friendly and really unprofessional. Also the hot water takes about 5 minutes to get going in the shower!
+ Well located, there is a terrace and a kitchen you can use
- Weird atmosphere, There are signs everywhere with prohibitions and warnings of how to behave, almost never toilet paper unless you go and ask, the showers need like 5 minutes to get warm and then they turn boiling hot, it seems an issue if you overstay some minutes after the oficial check out and I didn't like how they treated my friend from ecuador who also stayed a night at the hostal

Aunque le demostré que en la aplicación salía el precio además del impuesto nobles importo y cobraron lo que quisieron. Creó que fue un timo y me da mucha inseguridad que cobren algo diferente al precio que sale en Booking

cleaned often. private and in good location for restaurants, parks, and market. really friendly staff. have hammocks on the roof. not many people when i was there so not much of an atmosphere

+ The place has lots of character, the staff are super friendly and very very helpful. The place is located near all kinds of places with good cheap food and charm.
- There is trade off between quiete and being. Centrally located. I’m picky though because I would prefer living in the woods if I had my way.

+ Es la segunda oportunidad que me hospedo en Flying Donkey y nuevamente satisfacción total!!! Te sientes como en casa, la hospitalidad de Patricio es excepcional, siempre dispuesto a despejar todas tus dudas y suplir las necesidades que puedan surgir durante tu estadía!!! + My third visit there and never disappointed. Staff is very friendly and speaks enough English for me! Very helpful.
- Unfortunately, the hot water is an issue. I think they have a very old boiler and it takes some patience! Not a big deal, on vacation so I had all the time in the world. Just a little annoying when you’re in the middle of a shower And it turns cold. Lol.

+ Excelente ubicación, cerca de todo La atención 10/10
+ L’emplacement est à 10min à pieds de la gare de bus, en plein centre d’Otavalo ce qui garantit une immersion totale dans la vie andine. L’hôte qui nous a accueilli était merveilleux, pleins de ressources et très sympathique (sorry on a oublié le prénom) ! Il saura vous conseiller et vous renseigner sur la culture régionale. De plus, nous avons pu profiter du festival El Yamor par hasard, de notre fenêtre !! Le lieu est très bien décoré et vous fera sentir à votre aise.
- L’eau chaude est parfois capricieuse notamment le soir.
