This hostel charged for drinking water, and the manager was extremely unpleasant when we questioned this. We paid $50/night for a run-down bungalow (uncomfortable and dingy with a barely-working shower). When we calmly stated that water, or a kettle, should be provided, the manager accused us of being “nasty”. The hostel felt unprofessional and mean, with a distinct lack of customer care. Other reviews suggest a general ethos of fleecing travellers for more money. Would not recommend.

We stayed here in the last two weeks for a few days and at first glance the place looks like any other lovely hostel on the beach. Wow, were we wrong. The dorms are dirty, sand, stains, and smells (mainly damp) galore. The toilets do not flush whatsoever, so be careful what you do in them. The drainage system is none existent so enjoy having a shower in a puddle of filth. The air con doesn’t get switched on till 10pm so enjoy being hot and sweaty all day. Super super dirty and moldy dorms. Location is great right on the beach but I would not stay here again. Pay a little more and stay at Onederz.

The food is really good and cheap! The staff is nice and the location is good. But the dorms were not really clean, cockroaches in the bathroom, and the air conditioning didn't work. The dormitories don't lock, so there's no real security, and the lockers for storing your things are dirty (dust), so it got my backpack dirty.

First thing to note is that the staff are friendly and very nice. The low score is not because of them. However, the dorm was disgusting. It smelt very bad, the floor is always covered in sand and the door doesn’t lock. The toilet, shower and sink is also filthy. I think with actual cleaning and a comfortable area to sit when the weather isn’t good, and it would be a decent place to stay. We paid for 2 nights and left after the 1st as we didn’t enjoy it at all. The bar area is nice for som...

The dorm I was in was not very clean . Lots of old plates on the floor by someone’s bed around the property in the dorm . Was actually very ill when I was there , did not go anywhere also none of the staff came to see if I was ok . But left a lady a skirt and was not going to say anything but it was over Christmas and really did not enjoy because I was ill as well.

Food is pricey but nice staff and good music/vive

Great stay at this hostel! The food is okay and the staff is super friendly! The beds are big, but the bathrooms aren't very clean and there are some unpleasant odors! Just make sure to get your $5 deposit back before you leave, because if you don't ask for it, they won't give it back! Good memories! See you soon!

The best place to eat on Koh rong sanloem with an incredible bbq and some home comforts like cheesy chips and gravy. The staff (especially Niamh and Sam!) are great at making you feel welcome in the best location! Felt like paradise

Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt solide. Leider war das Personal unorganisiert und bei Fragen bezüglich der Fähre eher ungeduldig und nicht freundlich hilfsbereit (im Vergleich zu anderen Hostels). Wir haben uns nicht wirklich gut beraten gefühlt, weshalb wir uns Informationen von außerhalb suchten. Die Schließfächer sind nur zum Teil funktionsfähig - wir hatten Glück, unsere waren abschließbar. Das Essen war sehr lecker, an die Küche großes Lob.

great place with amazing people. good food!

Pretty fine stay. great location, beautiful beach. the vibe here was really good! nice places to sit to look at the beach. The food was ok - food fries. the facilities were ok, cold water only. The rooms werent the cleanest, lockers were pretty dusty and there were ants. I dont care too much about that so i didnt mind, i dont regret the stay. honestly there weren’t many options for backpackers so id recommend staying here

Perfect atmosphere, staff are fantastic, food is the best on the strip, what could Koh Rong? Love to Sam, John and Ra; they make this place the true hidden gem it is. Expect good old skl rock music, impeccable vibes, and your ass beaten at pool and chess by John, hehe. I will be back very very soon

staff were fantastic, food is great, but the rooms were really dirty and mouldy which is why i can’t give it a higher review - i understand sand etc but the sinks were grim. the private rooms look nice though. expensive but i get that with it being a remote island, great vibes and really comfy beds the rooms could just do with a bit of a refurb

It’s a bit of a old hostel to be fair and no the most clean. But honestly I enjoyed my stay there is still and the food there is a 10/10

Very average dorms, bring your own towel and plenty of mozzie spray. Dorms do not lock so anyone could walk into your room so make sure you lock away your valuables. Staff were super nice and the restaurant/bar area always had great vibes

Great location on the beach, great party atmosphere in the bar. Comfy beds and cheap rooms - loved it so much i stayed for 3 weeks🙈

Nice staff here and good rooms. The AC is not on during the day. WiFi kinda unreliable, but that’s normal. Like that it is right by the beach. The food was absolutely terrible. Kept trying new things to eat here, but was disappointed each time. Especially stay away from those chicken wings! It is kinda empty here. Was told that it is a party hostel, but I did like the vibe, just kinda empty at the parties
