Lost Planet Midigama

This is hostel is nowhere near a 9.3. The rooms are oké but there is not atmosphere there. The facilities are quite poor. No water refill or what so ever. Location is not bad to be honest but that would be just it. So if you are looking for a social hostel with great facilities this is not your place!

Nice atmosphere and staff. Comfortable beds. Just a bit too busy for me with lots of people partying all the time. But if that is your thing, it’s a great hostel.

A fun, quirky hostel with a great location just minutes from the beach! The staff are really friendly which makes it a nice place to hangout, and facilities like the pool are good! Comfy beds, bathrooms a bit tired looking.

Great hostel, very nice owner and staff! Beds were really good. Lots of things to do. Missed some good food and drinks at the hostel itself. Only drinks we could get were a coke or beer.

Very good location and facilities. To remember that it’s more a hotel than a hostel.

Hot showers, curtains, nice atmosphere, fantastic location and towels!. A bedlight would've been nice and the bathroom always smelled like pee unfortunately although they cleaned it. It's like a little village, with many facilities. theres one toilet and bathroom inside the dorm and theres others outside. Had great interactions with some backpackers.

Love it here!! Had a really good time here and meet some amazing people and ofc the dogs!! Pluto is a star!

The hostel and its facilities are great. The staff and management are really friendly and relaxed. There is a bit of a quiet vibe sometimes with lots of large social spaces and not so many guests when I was there.

Super great place! Best beds I’ve slept in for months. Only hostel I’ve found with privacy curtains. Hooot rain shower. Lots of places for activities, little gym, climbing wall, basketball, pool table, pool, and even a baby hammock. And dogs!

Had a great stay at lost planet. Ideally situated for me in midigama near all the surf breaks I wanted! Really clean and comfy rooms with ac! One of the only places with a private pool which was great! Would definitely come back!

Awesome Hostel. It has many features like a pool table, basketballcourt, rooftop bar and a pool. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are big. I had a great stay here. Thanks to the amazing staff

I loved my stay here!! The location is perfect if you want to be right on the water for surfing and bop around between Ahangama and Weligama easily! The staff were 100/10! Vibes are super laid back and they can help you with anything and everything. The outdoor common area is huge with tons of activities - pool table, rock wall, pool, which makes socializing with other travellers fun and easy!

not just a hostel but a second home. was an amazing place with a lot of potential. love to the workers and the owner who make the best of every day.

I stayed maybe in the low season, but other hostels succeed more in creating spaces for smooth contact with other travelers or the staff to get inspired. Very unique and worthwhile to see inside though

i enjoyed the stay here. was booked with some friends. there were some people staying at the hostel, but otherwise it was quiet. this was actually what we were looking for, but that being said, there wasn't really an atmosphere. IMPORTANT TO NOTE we stayed outside the peak season and were told that next week it was fully booked. lots of activities to do here to pass time and it is super close to the beach. would have liked to see more hangers and places to place your phone and items when chargi...

Great hostel, cozy beds, AC in the dorms, huge outside area

Best place to stay, Midigama is great and the hostel comfortable + big pool and so many commun area to play and hang with the others. Still need to organize events like pool tournament but it will be insane once it’s done

We arrived in off season and so it was very quiet. The place was clean and quirky which was fun to explore the finer details. Owners were kind and assisted with our many enquires. Welcome coffee was a nice touch and great even for an Australian standard. Rooms were airconed, pool and pool table meant we wouldnt be bored even in bad weather. Great location only a few steps from the beach and surf breaks. Got good reccomendatoins. We will be coming again and staying in peak season to experience it

Très bonne fin de soirée dans cette auberge de jeunesse avec une bonne partie du temps passer avec le propriétaire des lieux, de belles discussions et de bons conseils pour les voyageurs, une très belle expériences à vivre dans cette auberge. À mon prochain voyage au Sri Lanka je n’oublierais pas de passer la soirée au côté de James et Nadun!
