+ Très bon potentiel au premier abord. Propre dortoir ok .
- Le bruit insupportable!! Le bar los amigos crache les basse jusqu'à 2 heure du matin 7/7 . Super pour le calme le bar est casi colé a l'auberge. Qui te réveille a 6 h ? Les femmes de ménages ça rigole musique et ça parle devant le dortoir 7/7 Même sans ça il te donne une vibs très Ecolodge . Mais finalement c'est très commercial. prevu pour te prendre un max de tunes et équipements minimum pour donner le change . Déjà pas d'endroit pour faire du yoga . En mode full commercial. Bref a fuire.

+ Location was good, the restaurant next door was great.
- This was the most uncomfortable stay we had in Costa Rica, possibly anywhere. The room felt like it was part of an unfinished section of the property. The hallway ended at a door, and once through it, our room (Room 5) was next to an unroofed area with unfinished rooms and corridors. (See photos) The room itself wasn’t sealed properly, so everything was damp from the rain. The musty smell hit us as soon as we opened the door. Sheets, towels, even the toilet paper were constantly damp. We didn’t want to leave anything out or keep our suitcases open for fear the smell would seep into our belongings. To make things worse, the room opposite was an active construction site. Workers were noisy, shouting, and regularly walking past the bathroom windows. We asked to move rooms but were told none were available. Would not stay here again. We actually left ASAP.
+ Locatie. Mooie gedeelde ruimte.
- De kamer was echt enorm basic. Bed lag niet goed en bijna op de grond. Er was een zeer onaangename chemische geur. Er was een enorm groot dakraam wat we niet konden afdekken. Om 5:30am was het dus licht op de kamer. De andere raam keek uit op een soort van opslagruimte waar regelmatig een werkman rondliep.

The staff was really rude, especially the one with the tattoos. I felt like I was bothering him when I checked in and asked for things to do. Also, Monteverde is the same as La fortuna, but less things to do. Not easy to meet people here.
AVOID!! This hostel is infested with bed bugs. It is known to both management and staff. You will find other reviews dating back many weeks with the same bed bug issue. The owners are doing nothing to end the infestation and sweep it under the rug instead. The bunk beds have enlarged platforms for you to but your bag next to the bed. This facilitated the transfer of bed bugs to and from this hostel. You put yourself at risk of bringing bedbugs to your home in your own country if you stay h...
+ Freundliches Personal, Kaffee umsonst
- Die Lage. Zentral, doch sehr laut durch angrenzenden Club und deren Besucher, die mit dem Moped unterwegs sind.
+ The common arras and The restaurant on The side were nice.
- The room looked better from the pictures, the bathroom was very disappointing. And the room was in the middle of some construction.

Tolles Hostel, sehr sauber, entspannter Vibe. Die Terrasse ist toll und der Gemeinschaftsbereich ist auch sehr gemütlich. Sehr zu empfehlen.
Very friendly staff who helped plan our group trip to the cloud forest. More of a chilled out hostel, which sums up Monteverde. Common areas were great if you wanted to chill out and read/ relax. Loved the free coffee too. Location was also great but I’d say overall the room was a little expensive for how basic it was. Would stay again though and loved the restaurant next door, ate there everyday!
Amazing location. Super central. The Open Kitchen next door is super delicious and you get a 10% discount. Comfy lounging area with bean bags. Private rooms are pretty affordable and worth the price. No AC but was pretty cool so did not need. Not too many activities going on socially.
Sehr empfehlenswert. Gut für 2 Nächte, um eine saubere und gemütliche Unterkunft zu haben. Schöner Aufenthaltsbereich drinnen und draußen. Die Küche könnte etwas mehr Ausstattung in Form von Schüsseln und Löffeln vertragen. Aber sonst wirklich gut und modern.
Staff are awesome and it’s a cool, social hostel with lots going on, right in the heart of the town.
Overall a very nice hostel with amazing staff who helped us making our itinerary for the days. We unfortunately had an incident with some bugs in our room, but the staff was very understanding and helpful. Very lovely place!
Really loved my stay here, the staff let me check in a bit early, my room was great, and there's lots of solo backpackers to meet! Had a great stay.

+ Unglaublich tolles personal! Hat sich bei jeder Frage super gekümmert und geholfen bei Planen und Durchführung von Routen und Touren! Mega gemütlich und tolle Küche/terrasse!
- Ein Safe oder abschliessbarer Schrank wären super gewesen. Durch die geschlossenen Fenster hat es mir im unteren Bett leider die ganze Nacht sehr kalte Luft ins Gesicht geblasen.

Best hostel we’ve stayed in on our trip across South/central America. Good outside space. Good coffee (and milk frother!). Spacious dorms and bed space. Nice kitchen. Good sized bathrooms for dorms. Helpful and friendly staff. All great tbh!

+ Very centrally located and good value. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant has great food.
- This time around I felt like there were some maintenance issues that should be addressed maybe by doing some upgrades.
