Mad Monkey Nacpan Beach

Very disappointing experience. No electric or water for several hours during day & night. Even when electric was on, WiFi didn’t work & no cell service. While a few staff members were kind, the rest were cold & unwelcoming. One rep acted inappropriately with male guests, another threatened my friend & swore in her face - way too involved & unprofessional. A male guest repeatedly harassed and threatened us while security did nothing. Beautiful location, but would definitely not recommend.

Lejos de todo. Sin internet la mayor parte del tiempo. Servicio de personal no soluciona ningún problema. La mitad del menu no lo tenian. Solo promueven beber alcohol. Entre las 15:00 y 18:00 no hay luz en el hostel ni corriente. Seguramente se me olviden cosas. Lo unico bueno es la playa pero von ir un dia de visita en moto desde em centro es la mejor opcion.

Nightmare in nacpan. Not water not electricity not WiFi. When I arrived the receptionist told me it is going to be ok in the afternoon, but it didn’t happen otherwise I’ll not stay here. At night the staff didn’t plan anything for the guests. There was nothing for enjoyment of the people staying at the hostel but the staff decided to started their own party at 23.00. Probably one of the worst Hostels I stayed in, because of the staff. They were rude to everyone and so many people had problems with them. Left my shoes and my Parfume in the locker checked out Grabes something to eat for a half hour went bag and they said there was nothing left. Some people got Food poisening as well. The beach is nice. Shower barely working. No AC just fans but they only work partialy

Très déçue de cet hostel. Les équipements sont vieux et rien ne fonctionne. 1h de coupure d’eau dans les douches, ventilateurs qui ne fonctionnent pas + qui s’arrêtent automatiquement pendant la journée. Emplacement loin de tout (45min de trajet pour El Nido Town). Le staff n’est pas sympa, à moins que vous soyez drunk every day, sinon ils ne vous calculent pas. Left early , forced fun atmosphere and music plays until late for a few people just off the rooms so you can’t get any sleep, rude staff , barely had any food choices on the menu and no air con. The beach is lovely and sunsets are stunning but I wouldn’t recommend staying here

There was a cigarette bud next to my bed. The showers only had cold water. You can’t order coffee during the day. There was no airconditioning. The power outlets by the bed didn’t work and neither did the fan. Restaurant service was very bad and the tables were dirty. If you want to go to your room during the rain you will get wet. The drinking water tastes very odd. The wifi is bad. There were a lot of little bugs in the room. You had to pay for a towel but the towels were dirty.

Awful place. Full of middle aged men sitting on their own watching the people in their 20s, and the social beer pong was overrun by 8 year old children who were for some reason roaming the ‘party hostel’. 0/10 vibes and felt very uncomfortable.

Overpriced private room with no amenities other than a bed. Kitchen staff is good, front desk staff terribly unhelpful. The only thing saving this place is a great location. Confirmed twice for the airport shuttle with front desk staff only to show up and not have it arrive. Rushed to the airport by tuk tuk.

No air conditioning in the rooms with this heat, Wi-Fi only available at the bar, not in the rooms. No bath towel provided ( you have to pay if you want one). A bit disappointing considering the price paid.

Ant the manager is lovely and so helpful and supportive. However it wasn’t the best hostel as it isn’t easy to control who comes in and out due to the location of it and a few of the local men were there and one in particular with long hair was very touchy and made my friend extremely uncomfortable. Not only this the location is very difficult if you want to go into the bustling town, with tuk tuks taking 45 minutes and costing 1300 peso! the place does not have aircon either

I loved my stay at Mad Monkey, right in front of the beach, which is incredibly beautiful. It’s such a calm and lovely place to stay. I’d like to thank Marco, the hostel’s global manager, for recommending this place to me I absolutely loved it. I had an excellent stay: the beds are big and comfortable, and there are several fans in the room, which is enough to sleep comfortably without feeling hot. There’s also a good restaurant and fun activities at night. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely LOVED my stay here!! Alicia, Sam & Mark made my trip incredible. I stayed for 1 week and would 100% come back. Exciting social activities every night great for solo & small groups everyone is welcome.

Absolutely wonderful! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming! Alicia, Sam, and Ant are absolute GEMS!! Made some super awesome friends while being there too! It felt like home

I have been to 14 mad monkeys and they always feel like coming home. When I arrived in El Nido I immediately ran into a friend I had met 3 months ago at Mad Monkey Pai! It was far from El Nido but super easy to get a Tuk Tuk into town, and there was even a pub crawl in El Nido that included transport each way. Being right on the beach was priceless. Alicia was a great trivia host and Sam carried my bag all the way to the parking lot when I checked out! Had a little too much fun there!😂

Had a great time there! Definitely for those who are willing to stay a bit more glamping style - get ready for sand in everything you own and to take lots of cold showers! The view and seclusion is worth it

Over all this hostel is amazing it has the chill beach vibes and being away from the main town but also the good party scene being mad monkey the staff here are great Anthony the manager is super nice and professional and Sam the dj is great and Alison is very welcoming and great at being a host and mark is another very nice staff member who always is talking to guests and making sure people are having a good time The place is very clean and the showers as well over all would stay here again!

Me and my friend had the best time at this Mad Monkey hostel! Met so many people that we were hanging out with for our whole 5 days stay. Also Alicia and Mark who works there with the activities really made us feel welcome and included, which made it a lot easier to interact with other backpackers in the beginning. Would recommend if you like to party, but its also totally okay to just chill there as well which we did for a night. Gonna miss this place and the people a lot!

The hostel is very social, great location on the beach. Alicia is such a great rep and host the most fun activities. Had the best fun here and just kept extending. Will def come back again.

Amazing location and amazing vibes. Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner

First time traveling solo and I was a bit nervous, but Mad monkey felt like home immediately. Hanna,Joanna, Clarris at reception is a total star—she remembered my name every time I walked past and gave me the best tips on which neighborhoods to avoid at night. The place is spotless and the security is top-notch. Thanks Sarah for making my first trip so easy!

Just perfect. Dorms are nice and clean, the structure is beautiful, it's right on the beach where you can see beautiful sunset. The staff was amazing, there was a blackout one night, and they were still making food and drinks for everyone. A bit on the expensive side, but also make sense given the location

we had the best fun here! during day u have beutiful beach almost al by your self with sun beds and shading. the beds are wide and comfy. always good vibes at the bar. lots of chill areas and social hangouts. the mad monkey crew are so helpfull and welcoming. And give the best friendly feeling all stay. Alicia did amazing party games during the evening and really made pepole start talking to each other and have the best funniest time! this is a hostel u can just be att and be fully comfortable.

I liked this hostel. When I booked I didn’t realise that it is not in the centre of el nido and can be quite expensive going back and forth but if you have enough time I’d recommend doing 2 days in Nacpan beach and 2 days in the centre! The staff were all so lovely, the food was good. Rooms and toilets super clean, really liked it :)

the hostels in a beautiful location with a perfect beach. Sam and Alesha were great hosts who were always on hand. The facilities are clean and the rooms are more unique than typical hostel rooms. overall a great stay at mad monkey would recommend to anyone visiting northern El Nido who wants a great stay next to an amazing beach

"Felt like home!" This was easily one of the best hostel experiences I've had, largely thanks to the staff. Hannah, Joanna at the front desk was a absolute star—she was so friendly and went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. It's rare to find such genuine hospitality. Thank you, Hannah!
