We stayed at Casa Pepe during Dia de los Muertos, this did mean it was a lot more expensive than normal. The room was spacious and clean, with private curtains which made such a difference when people were arriving late at night. Loud music playing till very late, staff in the bar weren't that friendly to us as tourists not really serving us, but reception were great! A party hostel, and weren't many travellers more locals there for the weekend.

Prívate room was hot, bed was uneven, and the noise outside was terrible. Also arrived full of mosquitos. Not sure what makes this hostel good. Wish I had done something else. The receptionist was also just not charming as they normally are at hostels.

Terrible. Toilets wouldn’t work. No air conditioning. ‘Boutique’ hostel means a run down building. No atmosphere. Extremely expensive tours. Unempathetic staff except the security officers. Next time, I’d rather stay at Apapacho again. Stay away from this place!

Book the tours somewhere else. For me and others, the hot air balloon ride was canceled at short notice 11 pm for pickup in the morning due to the "bad weather" by the agency that uses the hostel. That was a lie. Even when i was confused as it didn't make any sense (see weather app), that didnt matter. I gladly found Something new and could go. The description in hostelworld also says that there is a breakfast buffet with fruit at the Hostel. That's Not true. The Tours they offer are overpriced.

They charged my credit card 2 times because of a mistake from their side. They were NOT trying to help or solve this problem in any kind. After getting really angry they only paid me back half of the money they owe me. Never experienced such bad service.

THERE ARE BED BUGS!! While staying at Casa Pepe two women checked out early due to bed bugs, I stayed one more night after they left and I noticed bugs myself. The following afternoon every mattress (except mine + my friends) was flipped on it’s side and stripped of the bedding. All the bedding was in plastic garbage bags. I spoke with reception and they refused to help. The receptionist was hostile and only offered a change of sheets. I had to change hostels and received NO REFUND.

i’ve stayed in many hostels and this the WORST hostel I have ever stayed in. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! THERE ARE BED BUGS!!! We have pictured evidence and several girls left room due to the same issue. When we went to speak with the receptionist to request to move rooms, she was SO RUDE!!! She refused to have us change rooms OR give a refund. She was disrespectful, immediately arguing with us & saying she wouldn’t do anything until her manager came back in the morning. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Got eaten alive by bugs, no fans anywhere in the hostel and it’s roaring hot at night. I heard multiple people have belongings taken from them. Bit of a nightmare. Be aware this area is awful to stay in and super busy much better to stay in Roma or Condesa

Very clean and good beds but that's the only things it's got going for it. Viajero is much better. The rooms here are right on the busy road and the cars and trucks keep you up at night. There is very little social atmosphere, seems like a lot of locals up on the rooftop that aren't interested in socialising. Had to pay 35 peso for pre-made coffee. The kitchen is tiny. The place feels more like a hotel with dorm rooms. Very odd vibe to it.

El colchón está muy viejo, se le sienten los resortes. Y no se puede dormir bien.

Pros: great location, good facilities including a rooftop bar and N64 game room, nice front room staff. Cons: anyone can access the building because the rooftop is open to outsiders, most rooftop restaurant staff were rude

Well located hostel with very helpful staff. Can be social or not depending on what you want which is handy. Dorm rooms face on to a road which can sometimes be a bit loud at night but overall a great stay 👍

Me gustó, solo que el tema del baño se escurría el agua y tiraba mucho.

Todo estuvo excelente, hay ambiente y vida nocturna para los que quieren y hay tranquilidad para los que les gusta. Hay opciones para cada tipo de viajero. Tuve una estancia perfecta en este hostal. Lo Recomiendo mucho.

Sin duda uno de los mejores hostales en CDMX, las literas super cómodas, tienen un super ambiente en la terraza tu trago de bienvenida y la Power hour hacen que conectes con los demás, y los tours gratis que tienen visitan buenos lugares,y el personal muy amable y dedicado, sin duda regresaría una y otra vez, Felicidades,

More of a hotel than a hostel. Not social at all, and the common areas are nonexistent. There is a rooftop, but you either have to sit in the direct sun in the “free area” or sit in the restaurant area where you’re required to buy something. The restaurant workers are very pushy, and it does not create a welcoming vibe. Shared kitchen is closed until 3pm, so you’re unable to make your own breakfast. Not a budget friendly hostel :( However, it is very clean and the beds are comfy.

I would not stay here again at all. I had a private room with no fan or AC. I could open up the small window above the balcony for some relief but that’s it. The room was not very clean. People were yelling in the hallways at midnight. The hostel is not lively anymore like it had been in the past. The area is not the best. The tours are overpriced. I checked out after one night because I couldn’t take the heat, weird smell, uncomfortable bed and noise from the streets and people in the hallw...

Geen sociaal hostel, de indeling van de gemeenschappelijke ruimtes maakte het wat lastig om mensen te ontmoeten. Ik miste een algemene chill ruimte. Activiteiten waren betaalbaar in vergelijking met andere hostels. Locatie is goed als je het historische centrum wilt verkennen. Als je op zoek bent naar een sociaal hostel voor solo reizigers zou ik ergens anders heen gaan.

Booked a female only 6 bedroom. I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful everything was. I booked 3 and stayed for 7. The location was perfect, the rooftop was great for a quick bite or drink, and it was about 2 blocks from the center square. Security and front desk were very nice and on top of their jobs. I loved the blanket, the small locker and large one per bed. 10/10

Really nice hostel! Feels like more of a hotel at times. Not nearly as social as some of the nearby hostels, but I still met a good group of people while I was there.

the rooms all face the main street which made the room pretty loud, the windows needed to stay open to allow airflow since there was no fan or anything to keep the room cool. I stayed in the 6 mix dorm and found the shower room had a very bad musty smell and black mold growing on walls and in the shower. overall i think the hostel was very nice and clean, great hangout spaces and kitchen was very clean. roof top was nice as well.

Es la primera vez que me hospedó en Casa Pepe y me llevó un agradable sabor de boca, personal muy atento y el lugar hermoso. Y no será la única vez que lo haga, será mi lugar #1 para hospedarme y lo recomendaré al 100%.
