Onat Hostel

El dueño no tenía nuestra reserva así que solo tenía dos camas de la parte arriba de dos bunkbeds, donde nos quedamos cuatro personas porque ya era tarde y no teníamos otra opción. Los bunkbeds no sentían muy seguros. El lavabo del baño tenía agua saliendo de abajo. Había mojo por la pared cerca a nuestras camas. Solo hay un baño en un cuarto con 10 camas. Lo único bueno fue que el dueño cocinó desayuno para todos y nos prestó un equipo de esnorkel, pero en fin intentó cobrarnos ...

Location 10/10z. Property going under renovations. Material lying everywhere. The def need a new cleaning crew. Bathrooms and rooms need a good cleaning.

Located behind a huge mud pit far off from the main strip. There's open waterways covered with loose boards and rusty metal sheets. Water goes everywhere in the bathroom, no door on shower mold and mildew all over unfinished wood in living area. I got a sinus infection and it affected my dive trip. The only security is a key that is left on the door jamb and a single musty locker. The only saving grace is the owner is a kind and helpful man who will cook you dinner and play dominoes with you.

This hostel is affordable and located within short walking distance of West End. The access road to was very muddy in January, impassable by most vehicles, and unlit at night. There are no indoor common spaces so when it rains people are stuck in the dorm room. The dorm is unlocked and the lockers are open to the wall (no security). The bathroom lock also broke and the water/sewage stopped working one night (1 toilet for 8 people not working). The hammock also broke. Free drinking water provided

Would not recommend. Place was empty en owner had a weird vibe. Kitchen was dirty felt like the owners chill area.

The owner Serkan is a nice guy and will help you with anything you need. He also cooked us a meal free of charge too which was very nice of him. He is definitely an asset of the hostel. The Wi-Fi was great too. On the negative side, the floor in the bathroom was wet all of the time and was really unpleasant. It seemed to be a leak from either the shower or worse, the toilet. Not nice at all.

It was okay. The bathroom was constantly flooded and couldn't be locked. The owner is really nice though and invited us for some home made soup.

It’s not in the main strip so not a lot of foot traffic which is great and it’s a short walk to the main strip in West End. Close to the bus terminal too. I did have to fix the toilet cuz it was leaking water on the floor and the shower went from cold to warm water but other than that I enjoyed staying here.

I am not going to lie, staying there was amazing. They gave us an amazing treatment and the accommodations itself were amazing!

Serkan eres el mejor anfitrion! Fuí sola durante 4 noches y me sentí como en casa. Te ayuda en todo, recomienda sitios, te cocina alguna vez y siempre esta haciendo broma. Ha sido un placer!

Bring bug spray sand flies on the beach and in the woods will definitely make it uncomfortable. Bed comfortable, shower adequate, kitchen with utensils fridge outside. Neighbors were a little noisy at 2 AM. Needs hooks in the bathroom to hang towel and a shelf for soap and shampoo.

Serkan is an amazing host! He's a great guy--he cooked us free dinners a couple of nights, gave us a free snorkeling kit to rent, free wifi, provided recommendations for food and tour guides, and everything else we needed. The doors automatically lock when closed, and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly, so my friend and I felt safe walking at any time. Amazing location and overall great deal

Had a great stay at Onat hostel, the owner was very friendly and helpful with local recommendations and also did us a BBQ one night. The dorm rooms have large beds and are kept really clean, with good size lockers and a nice balcony with a few hammocks. The location is just off the end of the main Roatan strip (with a 5 minute walk to the centre of the main street). I would highly recommend for diving and access to the West End beaches

Midle of nature , close to what ever you need , markets , bars ,restorant ,divıng points evet west end area. Owner was great help what ever ı need. Thanks onat hostel. Come back next year🥰

I had a nice stay here! No locks on the dorms but I felt very safe as a solo female and able to lock things in a mini locker. Nice location - tucked away at the end of the road so it’s quiet but walking distance to all the dive shops and restaurants. The owner is SO nice, helpful, and had 2 group bbq’s while we were there! It was so fun! My only downside is the kitchen/fridge and bathroom aren’t the cleanest.

I had one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a hostel here. Felt right at home, host is very welcoming, would prepare cookouts for us, spend time with us as well. The location is great and also pretty quiet. I hope to go back some day!

Absolute recommendation! The host was simply amazing – extremely warm, attentive, and always there for us. We even went out partying together, and he always made sure we stayed together as a group. The room was cleaned every day, and one evening he even cooked for us. Even when it was pouring with rain, he still went out and got us water – that really says it all. The accommodation is a bit hidden, but otherwise very well located. Everything is within a few minutes’ walk.

Excellent hostel, you come for roatan, but stay for the owner Serkan, the owner- he is the type of person who would throw his shirt off his back for you. Not only is he well informed about the best places to eat and go on a budget, with the occasional dinner parties he throws for allthe guests, you feel like you're part of a family.
