Good property but the vibe is so dead. It’s in south cliff which is not tge most happening part. Food us also not that great

Extremely budget hostel, great for if that’s what you’re looking for. Pretty far from town so very quiet which is nice but also there wasn’t much socialising or any atmosphere. I was in the all female dorm which was clean enough and had curtains which is a bonus.

We had booked two nights but when we arrived, we found our dorm looked worse than the photos show - not very clean, broken lights above the bed, and the major problem was big holes where the wall and ceiling meet letting in mosquitoes. We cancelled and the receptionist was helpful in refunding some of what we had paid.

If you would like to unwind and relax this would be a great place. -The food at the cafe was good. -Bed & Ac quality can be improved (few beds don’t get proper air circulation and the quality of the bed can be improved)

The facilities were good. We felt safe. It was good location close to south cliff.

Because the price is so low, it's fine for what you get... The WiFi is good and the bed was comfy although there were lots of ants in it, they didn't bite so it didn't bother me so much. The room is very hot but there are fans for each bed which helps a bit. I did like that there was curtains for the beds too... Staff seem a bit like they wonder what you're doing there, like you're interrupting something 😔 close to the beach

We enjoyed our stay at Molly’s hostel. Everything was great except they had a lot of maintenance going on which meant workers were in & out of our dorm - & they didn’t knock which was a bit stressful! Other than that, lovely hostel & great vibes. 5 min walk to a fab yoga class aswell ⭐️⭐️

good place to stay,grt location just 200 mtrs away from beach but just a minor issue with power cut..not all the rooms have generator and this did cause little inconvenience during our stay

Nice place. Good rooms with AC and quite welcoming staff. A bit away from the main strip of Varkala but a quiet pretty area and still near to a beach.

Excellent stay at Molly's. I had the double AC room with balcony and it was big and very comfortable. Best bed and pillows I had in India. The staff is very nice and helpful. The food they prepare at the café is varied, good and cheap. Only a few minutes walk to south cliff's beach, which it not crowded compared to the north cliff's one. For sure, if I go back to Varkala, I'll stay at Molly's again. Thanks everyone!

The hostel is very open, has a lot of greenery, hammocks, and a nice common area where events happen. Good Vibe. Very close to South Cliff, in a more remote area. Genuinely, the bad location is only because it's next to a mosque. You'll get woken up every day at 5 am by the sermons, so just be prepared. Cleanliness - because my bed had grains/sand, and also literal ants walking across. Also, spotted random insects at night around my bed. The staff were nice and tried to clean, but to no avail.

This hostel truly felt like home away from home. The location was perfect—just a short walk from the beach and local spots. The vibe here is so warm and welcoming, with amazing people from all around the world. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help, and the common areas made it easy to connect and create beautiful memories. One of the best hostel to stay in south cliff Staff is very good and cleanliness and hygiene is proper. The private room is very aesthetic and good. Bed is also very good and clean. Highly recommended. Great vibe

Molly’s Hostel in Varkala has the perfect chill vibe for solo travelers. The staff is super friendly, the place is clean, and the location is ideal — just minutes from the beach and cliffside cafes. Great common areas to meet people or just relax. Definitely a spot that makes you want to extend your stay!

Very quiet and comfortable stay here! The food is great and there are many areas to relax. The location isn't the best as there isn't much nearby. Scooter rental is quite expensive. I wish there were social events organised by the hostel to bring people together. I enjoyed my time here and would stay again.
