Hostel & Surfcamp 55

Stopped here solo for one night on a bikepacking trip. Can’t beat the location! Very clean but definitely not the most friendly if you’re not in the surfing world. Perhaps a bit overpriced for what it is but safe and clean and had no problem with me leaving my bike in the office / entryway.

Staff is really kind and thoughtful/welcoming. However the doors are left open often which makes the whole hostel quite cold. Pretty loud also. Kitchen is extensive with all you need and the location was 10/10

Lovely intimate hostel! The 6-bunk dorm was nice, had lots of room for luggage, view of the ocean! Full set kitchen and nice outside area!

Super clean, great location. Smaller hostel with no events so not the best social atmosphere. Not really a surf camp, they just offer single surf lessons each day for extra cost (but same price as anywhere in town). Dorms are a bit crowded and weirdly laid out, have to crawl under the globe if you’re in the top bunk. But the beds are comfy and staff are friendly enough.

Well located just a short walk to the beach, main town, and to the market. Private room was very clean, had an ocean view and a nice patio, and there was a sink in the room making not having a private bathroom not so bad. There are only two bathrooms in the hostel, while the hostel is small, there were times you had to wait. The surf lesson was great. The only disappointing part was there was no AC or fan in the rooms.

Very nice place in Ericeira. By far the best pillows and bedding I've had in a hostel so far! Staff seemed chill and happy to let you be. The free to use roller blades, skateboards, and beach volleyball were really fun. Wish I could have stayed longer! Highly recommend.

Cute little hostel! Was perfect for two nights. Very well equipped kitchen and clean. The staff was super helpful and really friendly.

Very nice hostel right near the beach, with a decent kitchen, nice dorms and big garden. Loads of people were working in the shared space during the day but otherwise great spot

Really cool vibe. Very chill hostel with older people there to surf, relax and hang about. Was easy to meet friends, and no big partying which I enjoyed. Great access to walk to the beach!

One of the best hostels I stayed at. There's a guy who keeps coming back a month at a time for the past 5 years working remotely. If that isn't a glowing review, I don't know what is. Super convenient to the town, surfable beach. Easy surf rental process. Staff are so accommodating, friendly and helpful. Great international group of guests. Awesome indoor and outdoor common area where you can socialize. Lots of clean bathroom, never had an issue. 10/10 would come back again

I really liked staying there. I felt save, comfortable and welcome. It’s a great location with free parking spaces on the street and short walking distance to the city center, shops and beach.

I had the best experience at this hostel! It is in the perfect location, super clean and well-kept, and the staff were so helpful. It was so easy to arrange small-group surf lessons, and they offer them for all ability levels. I only got to stay here for one night, but I met the coolest group of people and wished I could have stayed longer. If you are visiting Ericeira, you should definitely stay here!

Me and a friend booked one of the two-person rooms in the hostel and we're very pleased with the overall experience. The common areas (kitchen/garden) are very nice and have everything you need. Additionally, the place was kept very clean by staff. The staff at the hostel was also very helpful in anything (planning trips/restaurants/parties). We also booked several surf lessons with the hostel's staff which were amazing. All in all, we had a very lovely time!

Had a wonderful week in Ericeira. The hostel was very welcoming and homely. Shoutout to the cleaners that do an amazing job the place was spotless!

The best Hostel i have ever been to, I will always come back

We had a really lovely stay here! The people were all so open and friendly, facilities were cleaned regularly, location was a quick walk to town and the beach and beds were comfy. Only small issue was mosquitos coming in the room at night due to no fly screen, so bring repellent! Definitely recommend!

I loved staying here! Definitely one of the cleanest hostels I’ve stayed at as it is cleaned top to bottom every day. Great facilities and amenities available. Kitchen to cook in( basics provided) beach umbrellas, skateboards you can borrow, towels for a small fee. Beds were comfy but it would’ve been nice to have a curtain for privacy as there are only mixed dorms. I met a lot of awesome people here! There are often free events in the area (DJ, live music) to check out too!

Sono stata benissimo e consiglio a chiunque di alloggiare in questo ostello, l’atmosfera è accogliente e le persone sono semplicemente fantastiche. Offre anche tantissimi servizi che non mi aspettavo e consiglio di prendere lezione di surf da loro. Se torno a Ericeira, sicuro torno da loro!
