RR Hostel

Our stay was okay. The host was nice and the position is optimal. The price though was not adapt to the quality of the hostel. A lil bit more cleanliness would be good. Anyways we were treated fairly and genuinely.

The most disgusting thing you'll see. I booked this place and ended up not staying after seeing the horrobible conditions of the hostel. The room where I was staying had 4 beds with still dirty bedding from previous guests, even if I was the only reservation for the 2 days. The bathroom was also in disgusting conditions, the basin the floor and the toilet full of hair. I was the only guest.. I informed the staff member Rodrigo who wasn't even worried to ask what has happened. Zero interest.

The owner was such a pain to deal with, he literally told me he did not want me to book the hostel but "anyway". The place was at his image. Did cook me a breakfadt expecting I eat the ingrediengs he provided (meat), like it takes 1 second to not spend the next 5 minutes for nothing. His 2 little dogs were barking all night/morning. The windows have no curtains, and shower was very dirty. Avoid this.

Das Hostel ist extrem dreckig & überall stinkt es! Die Küche und das Bad kann man wirklich kaum betreten, da es wenig einladend aussieht und riecht!! Das Zimmer an sich ist okay, aber wenig Privatsphäre (keine Vorhänge) und natürlich müffelt es auch hier. Die Hunde pinkeln in den Gang und das Licht im Bad geht nicht, außerdem gab es kein Klopapier. Der Besitzer ist jedoch sehr freundlich und gibt gute Empfehlungen für Campeche.

We were planning on leaving a decent review despite the cons but our last night at the hostel was terrible. We were the only guests in the hostel and the owner decided to throw a party for his friends. Despite wearing earplugs, we were woken up by loud music and shouting at 12:30 PM. We had to go down and talk to the host’s stoned and drunk friends and remind them that we’re here and we want to sleep at night. They turned the music off but continued being loud until 4 AM. I’ve backpacked for 1.5 years and this is probably the worst kept hostel I’ve ever been to. Do not let the pictures mislead you. No functioning toilets (had to use buckets), had to keep asking for toilet paper, kitchen dirty and difficult to use as there’s barely running water, dogs allowed to pee and s*** in the garden next to you and I had to tell the owner to clean on the second day, breakfast served at random times when the owner wakes up.

Really dirty and bad smelling bug-filled bathrooms. Unusable sink that causes flooding, Moldy food in fridge and sink. A lot of dog waste in gardenGiven no key and locked out for 30 mins. The bathroom is barely functioning; the water stopped working in one and the other one’s door covered by a too-small curtain facing the communal courtyard. The security lockers are only big enough to fit a handbag. No one was there to check us in for 20 minutes and the door was wide open. This being said, there is functioning AC in one of the rooms and interesting decor.

Honest review! The owner cares allot for this place! He has some good changes coming! The location is the best in the city, it’s also the best price for the money. Could it be cleaner, yes of course, one of the changes coming but also, the cheapest hostel there! Plus, mostly any mess is from other hostel guests that just aren’t cleaning behind themselves. Anyone that stays in a hostel needs to be aware of the etiquette and respect everyone in their room.

Fantastic location and price. It's a lovely building too. Sadly it seems the owner's heart isn't in it. I stayed 3 nights and didn't mind that I was the only guest, basically I was getting a whole dorm for the price of one bed. The atmosphere was a bit odd so if you're a lone traveller of a nervous disposition this probably isn't the place for you. Some other downsides are: the nylon sheets, no toilet paper, lack of cleanliness. It's not really dirty, but it's not very clean either.

I had an amazing stay at RR Hostel! The owner, Rodrigo, is an incredibly kind and helpful person who goes above and beyond to make sure his guests feel at home. He was always available to assist with anything I needed and helped me improve my Spanish, which I really appreciated. The hostel itself is spacious, airy, and has such a welcoming vibe. One of the highlights of my stay was spending time with the two beautiful dogs that live there ❤️ Thank you Rodrigo for everything!

Stayed in a private room. The owner was great, he accepted my booking despite me booking the wrong days.He also gave us recommendations. Great location in the old town, secure. Bathrooms were outside so attracted mosquitoes, one toilet/shower missing showerhead and lock on door. Kitchen wasn't appealing to cook in. Room door is louvered, so mosquitoes got in. For the cost no real complaints

I had a good time in RR hostel and the manager provided me with very useful information where to go and help me to sort out a problem.Thankyou.I also met a few interesting people over there.The great thing about this hostel is its location,right in the historical centre of Campeche.I would stay there again.

Good place for one night, need some clean and work

Aucune clanche pour la chambre double. On peut entrer facilement dans l’immeuble. Du bruit toute la nuit. Les sanitaires tres sales.

RR hostel was one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. Rodrigo is an absolute legend and went out of his way to explain a bit of Mexican history as well as giving top recommendations for restaurants and bars in Campeche. Definitely recommend if you’re looking to have a proper good time.

Mitigée: L'emplacement est super, plein centre. Le bâtiment est vieux, malgré la jolie cour. Le ménage n'était pas fait dans la salle de bain... La chambre était ok. Cuisine non utilisable pendant un jour : pas de gaz. L'hôte s'est débrouillé pour nous fournir le nécessaire le lendemain au soir. Pas d'eau potable, ni petit-déjeuner ni laundry. L'hôte est gentil et aidant. Potentiel mais mérite amélioration.

Lovely people great atmosphere and location. Could be cleaner.

I had such nice time here. I stayed for four days. The owner really tries to make sure everybody feels welcomed and have a nice time. He's constantly planing activities he thinks we would like, he's fun to talk to and he is very relaxed. The hostel is cute and has nice spots to just relax. The two dogs are also so so cute. First they might seem cranky, but it is quite the opposite.

A lovely hostel for a short stay, perfectly located in Campeche. The building and garden are beautiful and we had the great company of the hostel doggies. We chose breakfast included and it was very good and a nice addition. Unfortunately we did have some issues with communication regarding storing ours bags after check out. We were locked out of the property unexpectedly. Ultimately, everything worked however this did cause us some additional stress. Thankfully Campeche is a wonderful safe city
