Azul Cielo Hostel

De locatie en het personeel waren prima, maar de badkamers/wc’s waren echt smerig.

We stayed for two night in the 10 bed dorm. No space for your belongings, beds were super uncomortable and if you were on the lower bed you always hit your head when you stood up. Fridge also very nasty with a bugs in it. A lot uf bugs as well in the showers/toilet. The location is close to the centret but at night its not a safe neighbourhood. The obly good thing was the garden outside of the rooms and the staff was very friendly. We saw the other rooms wich looked better than the 10 bed.

Leuk hostal, maar wel op onze plek geluidsoverlast van de andere gasten. Voor de eitjes bij het ontbijt extra geld betalen. Voor wat het hostal kost mag daar wel een eitje bij.

lovely hostel a bit outside of town - the only damper was charging for an extra night due to a mistake in arrival date from my end. absolutely no flexibility or is understanding from the staff although I did explain the situation on the phone. Since we still stayed the original length some understanding would have been appreciated. We did enjoy the breakfast and public spaces

The rooms are extremely hot in the evening and hard to sleep. The showers do not feel clean.

Am okay hostal. Probably the least social I’ve been to. The metal doors certainly let you know when someone is going in and out of their room!

Let op je geld want ik kreeg tot 3 maal niet het juiste terug voor de borg. Leverde mijn sleutel snel in omdat ik mijn bus moest halen na het ontbijt. Toen ik na het ontbijt bij de receptie zei dat ik nog borg terug moest krijgen gaf ze me 50pesos. Toen ik zei volgens mij heb ik 100pesos betaald ging ze kijken en kreeg ik alsnog 100pesos. Verwacht verder niks van de fietsen. Of een lekke band of ketting eraf. Mijn kamer was naast de keuken en zonder oordoppen heb je daar last van

A nice base to explore oaxaca city from. I found the staff were not so friendly and not very helpful. I booked a tour through them and even though I asked, they failed to tell me there were more costs on the day and about 6 more stops on the tour than they advertised (for Hievre el agua). They also told me a cheaper minivan to Puerto would take 6-7 hours and it took 10- so I guess they just wanted some commission. The showers could be cleaner - same ball of hair stuck on the wall tiles the three...

Noise was absolutely awful. We paid extra for a top private room and I would have rather stayed in the dorms at the back of the hostel. Our room faced out onto the street and given the minimal insulation, you could hear the bar across the street blasting music until 4am every night. Furthermore, the staff coming in in the morning were very noisy. Bed was comfortable however. No air conditioning.

Das Hostel ist sehr schön, das Frühstück auch eines der besten was ich je hatte. Leider habe ich (offensichtlich von diesem Hostel) Bedwanzen bekommen.

A garden oasis just outside of Oaxaca center. The breakfast is always delicious and a new dish to try each day! The beds are so comfortable in the shared rooms and you have space to put your bags and full privacy with the curtain. Staff is warm, friendly, and kind. I enjoyed a yoga class on the rooftop terrace and a traditional Oaxaca dinner, which are just some of the events offered here. Friendly vibe, comfy communal spaces to hang out. Great location, walkable. I would come back ! :)

A wonderful peaceful gem in Oaxaca. Chill vibe- not a party place but the there is a sense of community with group activities and group dinners. Highly recommend this peaceful place. Every staff never is welcoming friendly and kind.

My friend recommended this hostel to me, and it was by far my favorite place during my travels in Mexico. The staff are incredibly helpful, it's cleaned regularly and the breakfast in the morning was always fresh and delicious. It's easy walking distance to the Centro and there's plenty of other bars, restaurants, etc nearby for whatever you might need. My only issue was that the dorm rooms could get really hot and stuffy at night, even with the fans going on full blast.

Really nice and social hostel. I like the easy going atmosphere and the outside living room + kitchen. Good breakfast! Nice dorms. I do think they can spend more time and effort in promoting activities in the hostel. 15-20 minutes walk to the city centre.

super auberge, le personnel est au petit soin et les dortoirs sont comme une petite chambre, il y a plus d'espace que le lit. c'est vraiment confortable !

Creo que es el mejor hostal en el que he estado durante todo mi viaje en México! Todo estaba muy limpio, el desayuno buenísimo, el personal super amable.. 10/10!!

Great hostel for a stay in Oaxaca. My partner and I had beds in the 8 bed dorm. Storage space is not the best, but the beds were comfortable and the fan helped with heat during the night. The shower facilities were a little cramped, but clean and manageable. The free breakfast was tasty but may be on the smaller side for those with bigger appetites. All other guests were very friendly and the breakfast set up provides a great was to get chatting to others. Highly recommend!

It’s a very nice hostel with a very nice atmosphere. I slept good so I can definitely recommend it. Only minus is that you don’t get a towel so you have to have one with you.

lovely !! great included breakfast enjoyed communally with friendly patrons. friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, awesome rooftop and comfortable common lounge area and garden. great for those who have outgrown the party hostel but still enjoy meeting fellow travelers! enjoyed the families with adorable small children as well 💕💕💕💕

Quaint hostel, good location to downtown historic city Centro. Helpful staff, excellent breakfasts. Would definitely stay again when visiting Oaxaca!

Great hostel. Very quiet. Friendly atmosphere by not the friendliest that I’ve been in. Really nice staff, and great dorm room. The location isn’t in the center but it was a 10 minute walk which was really ok. The hostel is beautiful and I would recommend booking it.

absolutely loved this hostel. we had a private room and it had a four poster bed!! the staff are amazing, the breakfast is great (and included!) nice little bar if you feel like grabbing a drink and a chat with others. some taco and mezcal places nearby and good cheap laundry across the road. would 100% stay again.

Very comfy big beds with personal fans. Good breakfast too. Only downside is location is slightly out of the way and rooms have no windows.

This is a really beautiful place. We booked a private room which is a bit more expensive but it was totally worth it. The room was clean, the bed comfy and the breakfast very lovely with fresh fruit and pancakes or eggs. The staff was helpful as well and they offered a lot of activities. In the night it was quite so you could get a good night of rest. To the city center it’s just a few minutes walk. Overall would defend recommend.

Super comfortable and secure. Great location, near a laundry service which is even better. Very clean.

Peaceful and social hostel. Very good choice in Oaxaca. I found the area fully safe as a female solo traveler (contrary to some other reviews here). One can store luggage there for extra days when one doesn't sleep there for 20 pesos per night. Staff helpful but not very interactive.
