La habitación privada es pésima sábanas sucias olor a humedad y caño del baño, mienten que hay 2 camas, es solo una y un sofá viejo y sucio, no descontaron el anticipo que deje en la aplicación para reservar.
The private room is terrible, the sheets are dirty and smell of damp and the bathroom pipe, they say there are 2 beds, it's only one and an old and dirty sofa, they didn't discount the advance I left in the reservation app.
Les avisé que llegaría por la noche, y les recordé un día antes que llegaría algo tarde. Ellos accedieron a esperarme a esa hora. Pero cuando llegue estaba cerrado, nadie me abrió.
I told them I would be back in the evening, and reminded them the day before that I would be a little late, so they agreed to wait for me at that time, but when I arrived it was locked, and no one opened the door.
Me quedé en habitación privada y se me hizo un poco elevado el precio, el internet no funcionó y la habitación tenía mal olor

It's a fine hostel but the only downsides would be the front door is locked manually by a key so if you're going out late you need to wait by it to enter the hostel, that the bunk beds in the dorms are pretty bad with no privacy curtains and that the wifi doesn't work on the bottom floors. Enjoyable stay.

La ubicación es muy conveniente, el personal muy atento y las habitaciones cómodas. El único detalle es que el wifi no funcionó durante el tiempo que estuve en el hostel. Por lo demás, excelente opción para alojarte en Monterrey.
Considero qué hay cosas que podrían mejorar, las camas de los cuartos compartidos se mueven mucho. En general en buena opción en cuestión costo-beneficio

Un lugar muy tranquilo y bonito
A very quiet and nice place
I definitely recommend this hostel! It’s in a great location, and is good value. It’s pretty peaceful at night. I don’t speak much Spanish, but the staff were so helpful and patient. Also the breakfasts are nice!
Un gioiello a Monterrey! Soggiorno fantastico alla Casa del Barrio. La posizione è imbattibile: a due passi dal centro ma in una zona tranquilla e sicura. Le camere sono molto carine, pulite e accoglienti, curate in ogni dettaglio. Il personale è squisito e di una gentilezza rara. Un tocco magico è lo spazio all'aperto: fare un’ottima colazione in quell'atmosfera è il modo migliore per iniziare la giornata. Consigliatissimo! Gracias por la hospitalidad y por hacerme sentir como en casa!
A jewel in Monterrey! Fantastic stay at Casa del Barrio. The location is unbeatable: a short walk from the center but in a quiet and safe area. The rooms are very nice, clean and welcoming, care in every detail. The staff is exquisite and of a rare kindness. A magical touch is the outdoor space: having a great breakfast in that atmosphere is the best way to start the day. Consigliatissimo! Thank you for your hospitality and for making me feel at home!
Fue una grata experiencia mi hospedaje en monterrey gracias a La casa en el barrio. Todo muy limpio, siempre hay alguien que te atiende y hasta pena me daba llegar diario tan tarde pero siempre me abrieron de súper buena manera. El desayuno te hace sentir en tu casa, muy rico. Súper bien ubicado.
It was a very nice experience my stay in Monterrey thanks to La casa en el barrio everything very clean, there is always someone to attend to you and even sorry it made me arrive so late every day but they always opened me up super well breakfast makes you feel at home, very rich super well located.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The location was 10/10 would stay again.

Overall nice place. I liked that it was walking distance to the macroplaza/paseo Santa Lucía. It’s in a quiet spot, but only a few streets away from the nightlife if that’s what you’re looking for. The shower had hot and cold water, which is nice. There’s no communal kitchen as the downstairs is a restaurant.
Nos atendieron muy bien, tuvimos un pequeño retraso a nuestra llegada, y aún así nos recibieron sin problema para el check in. Muchas gracias a Ale, por todas sus atenciones en nuestra estancia por el hostal, 100% recomendado.
They took good care of us, we were a little late arriving, and still they welcomed us without any problem for the check in. thank you very much to Ale, for all his attentions in our stay by the hostel, 100% recommended.

Excellent location, location and very friendly staff.
Everyone was nice and attentive. However, felt more like a homey hotel with a large patio. It wasnt like other hostels with activities and such. I still enjoyed the peace.
La Casa del Barrio forma parte del Barrio Antiguo, ¡todo lo divertido se encuentra a sólo unos pasos de ahí! El lugar es pintoresco, la comida es deliciosa y la atención brindada me hicieron sentir como en casa.
La Casa del Barrio is part of the Old Quarter, all the fun is just a few steps away! the place is picturesque, the food is delicious and the attention provided made me feel at home.
A beautiful place to stay in an absolutely perfect location!
Stayed in a private room here and it was very well-kept and clean. Slight issue checking-in with the hostel not having my reservation, though I think it was more of Hostelworld not notifying the hostel. However, the lady/employee checking me in was very friendly and kind. Had a short stay and was really only at the hostel to sleep, though I enjoyed my stay.
